Awsome ty Salome this nice fellow up there Peter Higgins he has a neat navbar. That is the one i am trying to use. When i copyed the template and adjusted the variables, the only thing that didnt show was that navbar. I had a red link and when i clicked on it it said this page hadnt been created yet. So I typed in my name and then the red link went away. I tried to undo the edit as you can see in my history but was unsucessful in the attempt lol. Ty for helping mei appericate it a ton. The easiest way to create the needed page is to just click the red link that you are currently getting when you trying to insert it. That will create and lead you directly to that page and thus you can edit it from there. That's what I do myself, just as its the easiest way to create pages. -- Salome 00:03, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Okay the way those links work is that any template that you have on page you created will then be displayed upon your main page here. What you seem to have done is accidentally put your charecter temaplte on your navbar template page, thus why its causing confusion. If you want i could do the basis of it and then you can work out how i did it and maybe you will see from their how to do it. -- Salome 05:57, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Okie dokie, I've sorted you out the basic nav template, I've only included 3 char slots as I didn't know how many chars you had, what proffs they were and what their name was. The nav bar still needs amended to reflect this info. Now I can do that for you if you would like, as i really dont mind, or you can do it yourself. Either is fine. Just remember im always here to help! After we get the nav bar sorted out, we'll work on your charecter template. I think I actually Did Something

• muhahahah* I see a little bit now, the mist has cleared, and the ole noggin is working. I moved the ele next to the ranger and the warrior to the end then changed the icons to match the new positions. I should be able to add my own toons to the navbar now that i know how to. of course. I'll add the template on an individual template page for you and then from that we can build your character pages. the mistake that most peeps make is that they put the template itself as the character page, rather than just using the template and filling in the variables on each page. That all sounds very confusing but you will get what i mean after I add them into your page and thanks for the congratz :) Also don't worry, you're picking this stuff up much faster than I did when I first joined the wiki. -- Salome 16:20, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

ok ill have to take a closer look tonight but ive got most of the info correct on Sia's page. I do have another question however...Ive tried to upload photos but it says taht they dont have a .JPG attached which they do. Hmmm...not really sure whats going on there. My best bet would either be were having the image issue again on the wiki, which i dont think we are, or something isnt gettign recognised in the format of your files. An easy way to test this is to go on Siadina's page and click the red link to the absent jpg, that will take you to the upload screen. Then browse and upload the jpg file (baring in mind image policy and image policy naming criteria), that should then work. If it doesn't tell me and I'll work out why. Oh also as a wee aside, as you know wiki has a range of pre defined colour templates; the ones most pertinent to your nav bar however are the profession related colour schemes, which follow a naming convention. An example of which you can see below:

Assassin = {{a-color}} , {{a-color|light}} , {{a-color|dark}}

Thus as you can see, it's just the first letter of the profession and the intensity of that colour if you wish to make it dark or lighter. Their is alot more options than that of course but in relation to your navbar thats the main stuff. bear in mind however that their Rit's, Mes and Monk's all are exceptions to this naming convention, with their first 2 letters denoting their colour scheme instead of only the first 1. Thus Ritualist = ri, Mesmer = me and Monk = mo. Hope this helps. -- Salome 00:37, 25 February 2009

Hahahah i did somthing again. The pic loaded fine this time and i have adjusted the values of the color on my main and navbar. But how do i change the color of the yellow box on my general page. image and user boxes help

Hey hun, just to answer your questions. For your images, it's actually your jpg's which are the problem. They are the things which have the bits of white at the bottom, you need to crop them and reupload them. It's not a wiki problem, I hve updated your rangers picture as an example. However please bear in mind that their is an issue with updating the images on this wiki as it may take a few hours for the cache to upload, so wait a few hours before trying to reupload the cropped images. Also in reference to userboxes, if this the kinda thing you need: Template:Userbox, hope this helps, if you need anymore help just shout. Also just to let you know your character navigation bar seems to have the wrong colours. -- Salome 00:04, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Images

Hey Sia, I notied you uploaded a cape for your guild. However and I certainly dont mean this in a rude way, it's not the best image. You can however get a really good cape image from texmod, which can give you images of your cape like the one found here: Guild:The_Legion_Of_Feng_Huang. Also I've noticed that you've put your sig image on your user page, which is cool however if you wish to get rid of the white rectangly around the image you may want to convert it into a png file and crop the white space off the image. If you are interested in doing either of these things and need help with them, just shout me. If you are interested in texmoding your cape but dont want to use texmod (as some virus scanners say its a keylogger but no one has ever found it to be the case), I can guest you into my guild, I think I can use texmod on my end to get your cape, although I would need you to be wearing your cape while I trudged through the image database searching for your capes image which can take a wee while. I've uploaded the png version of your image for you just so you can have a wee gander at it and see what you think, it should look just the same as the jpg one but it will display the colour of the background of the page instead of a white background for the image. I've changed the image on your user page to reflect the png one instead of the jpg one just so you can see what I mean. you can find the image below:
