User page[edit]
I believe you asked for some help creating your userpage. Please let me know what you would like it to look like and I'd be happy to help.-- Wynthyst 12:36, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- I worked up a userpage, pretty much identical to mine, but with all the blank stuff for you to fill in. It's a little different to use, as my user page is several small pages all put together. If you want to see what I've done for you it's here. If you like it I can move all the pieces to your namespace (or you can). The page names will need to be adjusted to your namespace.-- Wynthyst 06:45, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I've moved all the pages to your userspace. To add your own information, use the My Pages link in the nav bar, and then simply type in your own data. If you have problems, just ask! -- Wynthyst 23:41, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- To add your character names click on My Pages on your navigation bar, then click on the Characters link. This will bring you to the page that controls that part of your userpage. Click on the edit tab, and you will see the code. I put a <-- note --> on the lines where you need to change the profession name to your character's name. You need to do that in both places on that line. Once you have added the names, you can click on the link and create a page for each character. -- Wynthyst 02:57, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- If you don't have a character with a specific profession, you can remove that entire Userbox. Would you like me to insert templates for each of your characters?-- Wynthyst 04:39, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I have created all the pages for your warrior. Try filling them in. I tried to include instruction notes in the edit window to help you. You can also indicate which heroes that you have by just changing the no to yes on the character page next to the hero's name. I have started your Ranger page as well, I think as you go, you will figure out how it works. If you have questions, you can look at any of mine, or just ask. Also, to fill in the rest of the information on your userpage, just go to the My Pages link in your navigation bar and select the one you want to add somthing to. The headings can be changed to meet your needs. -- Wynthyst 08:32, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I have also created all the base pages for each of your characters, and I made some adjustments to your progress bars on your warrior page. If you don't like anything I have done, you can feel free to revert it. -- Wynthyst 09:00, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- You've done a nice job with your warrior page. I saw you took out the image link, so I removed the remnant brackets as well. I also made a few adjustments to add in the information you wanted. When you use x = y in a template, x is a defined variable on the template, and my template doesn't contain those variables. That's why that information didn't show up when you put it in. Just look at how I did it.-- Wynthyst 11:33, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- To add info to the other areas of your user page, you have to edit the individual pages that makes it up.. Like you did for your characters. Go to the My Pages page and click on the link for the one you want to add stuff too. I have added your information that you had, you can do more :D-- Wynthyst 05:40, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- You can't link external images, you have to upload them to the wiki.-- Wynthyst 05:47, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- LOL! you can just answer me here, I'm watching for your responses. When I created the pages, I included links for your character pics. You had removed the one for Sun Xun. To upload your picture, just click on the red link and it will take you to the upload page, and give the picture the correct name. Make sure you select Screenshot as well as User image (Should already be selected), and then just click on the Save File button.-- Wynthyst 05:53, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

- You are doing just fine. The template of my page is not really a 'beginner's' page. I am truly flattered you liked it so much you wanted one like it. I hope you like the way it's turning out. Just keep asking questions, and trying to do it. I find that is the easiest way to learn. I will be around to make adjustments, and you can just use history tab and compare versions to see what kind of changes I'm making to make it work. I find that often easier than trying to explain it all.-- Wynthyst 06:23, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
tru and thanks a LOT for doing this, you dont meet people who will just help you w/ sumthing you dont kno nething about everyday --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:User:Sun Xun (talk).
Everyone has to start somewhere. I'm a teacher, and the wiki is my current passion, so it's all good. I would rather help you learn to be a good editor, than not. Just remember to sign your comments on talk pages :D -- Wynthyst 06:37, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
