User talk:Talo Highpriest/Archive1
could people help me out and teach me the code stuff so i can a really nice page please?
- Apparently no one else has bothered to explain it to you directly... but what you are doing by completely removing your own Post after it has already been replied to... is Called Reverting. And you could be banned for it if you keep doing it or fail to undo your own Re-Revert. ...Just thought you should know ahead of time b/c they're really friggin anal around here when most people break the rules. Now you may be able <s>
strike it out</s> or try to rephrase it or move it, but totally deleting it from the community's feedback page(s) is verboten --ilr 07:15, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Please sign your comments[edit]
On talk/discussion pages, please sign your comments by typing four tildes (~~~~). also you only need to post something one place and it will get read. thanks- Zesbeer 10:58, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
A couple things[edit]
First, you cannot outright remove content from your talk page. You may create an archive, and the instructions are here.
Second, you also cannot remove content from other people's tal pages at all, unless you have express permission. Even then, it must be either moved or archived.
Lastly, you cannot, unless GWW:NPA is broken, edit the comments of others. Please remember this in your future edits. Thanks. --★KOKUOU★ 05:16, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- To expand on that, GWW:USER outlines that you may not outright remove comments from a talkpage. You also happen to be in violation of GWW:1RR, so please be mindful of that.
- In helping you with your userpage, User:Wynthyst/Template_nav has a whole collection of templates that may help you with your userpage in the meantime, until you feel comfortable enough with wikicode to design your own userpage. --RIDDLE 06:17, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Dude[edit]
Stop it, will you? You're gonna get yourself banned if you keep doing this. - Reanimated X 07:29, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- You can't just remove text from your talk page whenever you want - it has to go somewhere. I've made an archive for you so you can see how it's done. ~Shard 07:30, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, if you keep vandalizing others' talk page posts, you're likely to get blocked. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 07:35, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Removing content[edit]
You cannot just remove all contents from the page of your archive. That's the reason it's there. Also you cannot be deleted from the database. ~Celestia 09:51, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- User space
- These criteria apply to user pages and user images only.
- U1: User request. Personal user pages, sub-pages, user feedback pages and images may be deleted upon request of the user, except in cases where the user page bears an important message or the image is used on other pages. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Talo Highpriest (talk).
- That does not include talk pages nor your user account. --★KOKUOU★ 09:56, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- "These criteria apply to user pages and user images only" and "your talk page should generally be treated like any other talk page on the wiki. Do not remove any comments, including your own."-> (User talk page restrictions). ~Celestia 09:59, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
