Heya! Thanks for your help with writing mission articles. :) You seem to be doing a really thorough job so you can drop the mission-stub for anything that you finish, even if there isn't a map. Also for the prophecies missions don't worry too much about the Rewards section or drop the mission reward box because you either get all of the bonus or you don't get it at all. --Aspectacle 20:15, 28 February 2007 (EST)

Ok, you obviously know a hell of a lot more about style and formatting than I ever will, but one thing bothers me: In your Boss/Elites section, you use this format:

*{{e}}28 [[Scelus Prosum]] ⇒ ([[Mind Burn]])

• 28 Scelus Prosum ⇒ (Mind Burn)

Problem is, what I see is "&rArr" whereas I assume I'm supposed to be seeing "→" Am I confused, is it a foible of IE6 or what? (Oh, and even using "nowiki" tags, I can't get the example to display "& amp ; rArr" without those spaces - damn alien formating hax!) --Snograt whisper 17:09, 1 March 2007 (EST)

Ampersand, & is a special character in html. It is used to prefix character codes for special or interesting characters, semi-colon is used as a suffix to complete the character description. Stuff which has an & prefix and ; suffix gets interpreted as the graphic character code, rather than showing what actually needs to be typed to get the arrow (or whatever).

The template which Thervold is using for the mission articles uses ⇒ to stop it from interpreting the character code &rArr as an arrow (⇒) and show what text you need to type in the mission article to get the right arrow graphic. As he has copied and pasted the template he picked up the illustration of how it should be typed, where as on the page should use the actual character code which will get interpreted as the arrow.

The correct entry for arrow is &rArr as &rarr gives a single line (→) rather than two lines (⇒). Does that answer your question, and does my explaination make sense? --Aspectacle 17:48, 1 March 2007 (EST)

Heh, I actually thought it was something that Firefox wasn't displaying correctly. (I cut and paste the template from here). I knew & was an HTML escape character, but I didn't bother to look into why I was getting the funny results. It makes sense now that I take half a second to think about it. I tested out the different characters, and in Firefox, both → and ⇒ appear correctly, but in IE 6, the double arrow is replaced by the generic "uknown symbol" box. --Thervold 01:58, 2 March 2007 (EST)

Yup, that's it exactly - my previous comment was when I was at work using IE6 (on NT4 no less :( ), whereas now I'm at home using Firefox and everything is hunky-dory. Thanks for the heads-up :) It's been a while since I last used IE6, I didn't know about that problem. We use that arrow on GuildWiki too and so far nobody reported it. The problem occurs on my PC as well (plus I got that grey background on .png icons too, which should be fixed in IE7). All is fine with Firefox and Opera (which is my standard browser). Too bad I can't tell people which browser they should use :p , so I'm gonna change the template if it hasn't been done yet. --Erszebet 08:54, 2 March 2007 (EST)

Elona Reach

Hello Thervold, are you also 199.46.200.233? I just wanted to point out that the (mission) part isn't necessary for mission descriptions. Take a look at Elona Reach. In regards to Zaishen Drop Research

I was going over the numbers for the Zaishen chest drop research and discovered you have two separate entries. (Two rows belong to you). I am not sure if I should add the numbers together or just take the larger of the two rows. Please review the page in question, so in the end you only have one entry. This way the numbers can be as accurate as possible.

If you do not take action within two weeks from this message I will delete the row that contains the smallest numbers and leave the row with the largest numbers.
