Images

Hi, I noticed you've uploaded and reverted lots of images on the Image:Guild Through The Eyes Of The Dragon cape.jpg image. Just so you know, new versions take up to 48 hours to display because of caching on the wiki. If you just leave the newly uploaded version it should appear on all the appropriate pages within that time. Hope this helps.- TheRave (talk) 23:04, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Guild Page

Best advice I can give is to just leave that page alone. Guild pages on this wiki ultimately mean very little. If they are inactive, and they fail to maintain the page, then it will be archived as is appropriate. There's no need to get into an edit war whereby your good intentions land you in hot water. What I find interesting is the IP comments. Those are enjoyable to read from time to time. It is weird how my intentions did cause that silly revert war. Defensive IPs trying to keep up old text gave me a vibe off them. It seems like they should try taking their advice when I rarely play this game. Anyhow, I digress, IPs are IPs, nothing special as I saw on PvX. As for guild pages, I did curiously look through them and saw that many aren't really significant. Besides very few, such as [rawr]'s, none were out of the ordinary. To be honest, I would like to get more involved with wiki as a whole. I hardly play Guild Wars anymore (AFK on, logging in guild to look active, talk to old friends), but wikicoding as always interested me. I may divulge into that here, if needed. The only code I've ever learnt was Postscript, and though some wiki code confuses me, it's much easier. Help is always appreciated, and Guild Wars Wiki:How to help is one place to start. There is the other wiki, www.guildwiki.org which recently transfered servers, and is still working on re-dressing itself and some of its articles. They would appreciate some help, too. So a couple of pointers on what I did.

• First, I made sure you were using {{User skill infobox}} rather than just {{skill infobox}}.
• Second, I made sure that those infoboxes had links to the images which you wished to create. To do this, I added the variable "image =" followed by the link to the image.
• Third, where you were using the skill bar for the Dragon, I directly changed the skill to have the same name as the image you wanted to use.

This last wasn't the best fix, but there are limits to what has been coded into the template. G R E E N E R 17:49, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
