Formatting Userboxes[edit]
Hello there Mint! To make userboxes, the general format is like this:
userbox|COLOR1|COLOR2|BORDER_COLOR|IMAGE|TEXT (you'll have to wrap it in { { } } )
COLOR1 is the background color behind the image, COLOR2 is the background color behind the text, BORDER_COLOR is the color of the border around the userbox, IMAGE is the image that you want, and TEXT is what you want the userbox to say. The syntax for the IMAGE is:
Image:IMAGE.jpg|PIXEL SIZE
IMAGE is the image, and PIXEL SIZE is how big the image will be. (you'll have to wrap it in [ [ ] ] ) For instance, if I put in "Troll Unguent" (without quotes) in for IMAGE, and "45px" (without quotes) in for PIXEL SIZE, I'll get this:
If you want to upload your own image, it would be Image:User Warriors R Mint Warriors R Mint.jpg|45px (wrapped in [[]]) for the example that you gave me. It would look like this:
So, if I want to make my userbox for being a pharmacy major, I'll put "black" for COLOR1, "lightgreen" for COLOR2, "black" for BORDER_COLOR, "Image:Troll Unguent.jpg|45px" (with [[]] around it) for IMAGE, and "This user is a pharmacy major." for TEXT. (ignore the quotes. It should turn out like this:
If you hit "edit" on this page, you'll be able to see the formatting better. Hope this helps! --Tero Gein 19:26, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
