Page Protection

Hello Wynthyst,

Could you please protect my page for about an hour or day or so please? Someone is just being stupid. I have my theories on who it is, but I am not going to be naming names, just yet.

Newbie to making a wiki page

One thing thatll help you out would be to sign your talk messages with four tides (~~~~) that automatically signs your message with what you see at then end and links to your page. Try looking here:

Guild cape images.

Is it a must to have an actual image of the guild's cape in these images? Because there are cape images like this, this, this and this. - J.P.ContributionsTalk 18:22, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

As far as I know, RFC is for more wiki-pressing issues (such as article formatting confusion or attracting attention to policy changes). Creation of New Templates?

Apologies for contravening accepted policies wrt Template:pp. FWIW, I did read the applicable guideline articles. Where is the right place to learn the ins and outs of this wiki? --DryHumour 07:09, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

If you wish to propose changing the formatting on a large number of mainspace articles, you should start a topic on the appropriate formatting guideline page. In this case it would be: Guild Wars Wiki talk:Formatting/Locations. Propose your changes, and ask for community opinion. If no one comments within 36 hrs or so, you should reference it on: Guild Wars Wiki:Requests for comment. It may take several days to gather enough comments/opinions to determine a consensus on the issue. If no one comments within that time, no one cares, and you should go ahead and make the changes. Feedback:Game suggestions

"You can't just "delete" the page leaving nothing at all Satanael, you have to copy/past the table on that page to Feedback:Game suggestions and for it to go into the formatting it's "nested". If you just delete it, then Feedback:Game suggestions would be blank" - I was totally confused about what was transcluded where. For some reason I thought the relevant sections of Feedback:Game suggestions were being transcluded onto the other two pages, not the other way around. :/ HAHAHA, I'm an idiot... If you want to create personal pages, make sure that you create them in your userspace, otherwise they will be deleted. To create a page in your userspace, simply add "User:Haunted Shadow/" in front of the title. poke | talk 14:24, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) You are creating them in Mainspace, not userspace. If you wish to create subpages in userspace title them using the format [[User:Haunted Shadow/(subpage name}]]. User content pages are not allowed in the mainspace. Also, you do not need an entire page to work on a signature, you put your signature code in your preferences, and use the Button sig.png in the edit bar to place it on your comments. I re-uploaded the image and everything, afaik it should be okay now.
I presumed that anyone with looking at the page would have some interest in the Guild, and thus may have questions for me. On that reasoning, I left the link to contact me, is that okay, or should I remove it to follow the instructions more closely?

When we were revising the guild page policy, there was more opposition to continuing the process of deleting old guild pages, than for archiving them. That is why we created the Historical guild status. If your guild has disbanded, the page should be moved to archived status with the naming format Guild:<Full Guild Name> (historical). That way, if another guild was formed with the exact same name, they could still have the original page named properly, while still keeping the archived page of the original guild. JP... give it a rest. So far we haven't had a single duplicated guild name in the thousands of guild pages that have been archived. As a suggestion, you can use Template:Wub as a reference for an image template, and compare everything. I'd suggest more usage description, and parameter description. I'm pretty sure nothing could be wrong with this template policy wise though. Perhaps the pixel size of the default should be reduced slightly, but otherwise I can't think of anything really. Hey Wyn, I just wanted to say that I love your templates. I used to do a bit of wiki design way, way, way back in the day. It seems like you've touched almost every template on this site. Very awesome. I'm a big fan of using your "progression" templates. AFK, my templates are made for anyone to use, that's why they are linked on my userpage with the comment... help yourselves. I appreciate the ask but it's not necessary. As long as you are using the template directly, credits aren't needed, since my name is already on it. Hey, I tried to fix the div tags on my page, but I can't seem to fix the "hom" and "sandbox" pages, they get scrambled if I try to adjust them the same way I did the others. Also, I don't know how to get my character pic on the left side of my page. And on Gw2 wiki, I seem to have found a way to fix it, but the text huggs the walls of the inner boxes now, is there any way to get a clear border between them? Not sure what the problem is with the "hom" and "sandbox" pages, but I fixed the image problem. Maybe explain what you are wanting to do with the hom and sandbox pages and I can take a stab at it? — Rappy 21:29, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
