User page (Permission to use)
I really like the way you have your user page set up. I would like to use it as a template for my own, if that is okay. --CaelumDelacroix 18:36, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's fine, I have several userpage templates as well. -- Wyn talk 22:33, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- Awesome! Thank you. I'll be sure to credit you. CaelumDelacroix 23:13, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- P.S. Your armor gallery page has an error with the ranger on the bottom. Missing the description on the one you added. CaelumDelacroix 04:32, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Show/Hide
Hey there, I'm trying to use your boxes for character pages such as the elite skills box. Is there a way to make a show/hide button for the different boxes I am trying to put up? Thanks! Oden 00:36, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Sure, but you are going to end up with massively large pages if you try to put my elite skills template on your character page rather than as a subpage. The Show/Hide can be done for any table. -- Wyn talk 00:49, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- I just decided to make single pages for each box. Looks a lot more clean to me ^^ Oden 16:27, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks
I hope you don't mind, I forgot to message you some thanks the other day when I actually did it, but I kind of copied your Show/Hide thing for my archive. Was a real pain trying to get it to work but I finally did. Also a quick question, my ToC seems to be a line or so under my Archive box and I have no idea why. I have tried fixing it in different ways but I cannot seem to get it to work. I want it to be in line with my archive box, much like yours is. Any ideas? Thanks Wyn. -- Lacky 06:38, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks Wyn, wish I had though of that...lol =P -- Lacky 13:33, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- It's kind of why the use of <br> is frowned on. -- Wyn talk 13:34, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed. What would you suggest instead? Template:Tl:clear? -- Lacky 13:42, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- If all you want to do is add an additional space, simply hit Enter twice. {{clear}} will actually clear to the bottom of any object, so it sometimes will have unwanted affects. -- Wyn talk 14:08, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Alright thanks for that. And also thanks again for changing the ToC. -- Lacky 14:45, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Template deleting
Hi! I just want to ask. I'm putting {{User:Demonical Monk/Sign your posts}} in users talkpages who dont have valid signatures. But I apply this to anonymous users. Should template be deleted after some time if user is anonymous or keept forever? Demonical Monk 18:18, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- Regardless of what is said on anonymous users' talk pages, in general we keep those pages as they are, although they might be periodically deleted in the future. But in that case it will be deleted, not just cleaned, so please just leave your messages on them. poke | talk 21:41, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
I'm wondering.....
Can I create my own category, since I've been accumulating all of these personal pages? I'd like to make a category of my characters, pages, etc. Is that alright? Kalizar, Lord of War 03:29, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Normally, personal categories are not something we do. But if you subcategorized it under Category:Users I'm not sure anyone would have a big problem. -- Wyn talk 08:23, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Alright, thanks again. Kalizar, Lord of War 17:49, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Changing our poster and logos to a banner.
How do i make them a banner so we can still keep them? I've never done that before and can't find any info on how to. thanks wynn.--Jenn 20:32, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, you'd need to use a 3rd party editor, like photoshop or something. See HELP:IMAGES for some free to download editors. -- Wyn talk 22:24, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for correcting that for me Wynn. I did it the only way I could figure out how to. Thanks again :) --Jenn 04:34, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Character template 5
Hi, I'm working with your Character template 5 for my derv, Komruk Akida (soon to be named Sage of the Sands hopefully) and here is the result. Unfortunately it hasn't turned out quite as well as I hoped it would, so could you point me in the right direction to format this page. I'm not sure if this is relevant to this, but I'm running GWW on Opera 10, so I don't know if that has an impact on the page Display.--Sageofprofession 07:32, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Update: Seem to be having better luck with this template right now. just wondering though, what's the "profession short" parameter for?--Sageofprofession 07:51, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- It's for the Favorite Skill box and the color scheme. There are Style templates that are used in Wyn's character templates. As you see, a lot of those style templates end in "-color", so the "profession short" parameter will stick whatever you enter as the parameter in front of all the -color style templates. In your case, putting "d" in that parameter set Wyn's character template to call Template:d-color where ever it is used in the template. --RIDDLE 08:04, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Scrollable lists
How would I make it so that my ToC becomes a scrollable list, after it reaches a certain length? The length/cut-off that I would like it to start a scrollable list at would be when the bottom of it reaches the bottom of my archive box (when each archive year is set to "hide") so that the ToC is always in line with my archive box. -- Lacky 12:54, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

- Alright Wyn, I shall bear that in mind. I just usually keep user space questions to you because you seem to know quite a bit about it, and I ask other wiki functions on the help page there. @Emmett: Thanks, I shall look into it. -- Lacky 08:45, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

Were you needing some help with that? --JonTheMon 01:32, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, you know me and dpl, but I seem to have gotten it working ok. I guess only time will tell as more preview pages are added. I just modeled it after the game updates stuff. -- Wyn talk 01:34, 22 January 2010 (UTC)

- I think I have it all fixed now. If you misspell a pagename, simply use the move tab to move it to the correct page, rather than creating a properly spelled redirect. Also, do not place pages in mainspace to be redirected to categories or such. Mainspace is for documenting the game. -- Wyn talk 13:11, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- Template:Character under Imperius is the userbox, and Category:User Character under Imperius is the category those users should show up in. -- Wyn talk 13:19, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Quick helpful pointer needed
Hey Wyn, I was about to add a little something about a community project doing ingame chartiy stuff. But the more I search, the longer my list of "places not to put that kind of stuff". Where can I put something about it on the wiki so it can be found and/or mentioned later on? Golgarit Raven 16:43, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Historical Gold Trim Guild Capes
Isn't the entire point of this wiki to collaborate and attain the most up to date information to keep the entire GW community aware of those changes? What's the point of having a wiki then if our contributions are negated and unsanctioned? Those alterations I made of those guild capes were exact and I had spoken to the members as citing. I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't genuine. Last time I checked this was a GW community-based site, not a standalone. As the administrator I would've thought you knew that, Wyn.--Uchiha sasuke 16:04, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Guild pages are a little different than mainspace articles. While is is possible for the general community to edit guild pages, important details (like capes) should be done by members of the guild. You can see this reflected in the Guild page policy "Guild pages should generally not be created, nor information maintained, by non-members.". All of the guilds you were changing are in historical status and those guild capes have not been changed since they were archived. I did post a question on your talk page while you were still uploading images, which, when I reverted the images, you had not responded to. In the case of Guild:Delta Formation (historical) in particular, we are all aware that DF is still in existance, however, that archived page is representative of the original group of players and their achievements, prior to White Wasabi purchasing the guild, so the cape image needs to be from that time period. I have no problem with you reverting my reverts back, I just wanted to verify the authenticity (which would be better done by members of the guilds themselves) of the representations of these well known guilds so that we maintain the most accurate information possible. -- Wyn talk 16:12, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- I understand the guideline, Guild page policy "Guild pages should generally not be created, nor information maintained, by non-members." but like I said, isn't this a community-based site? Seriously, do you really think some of these things were possible without the contributions of members as myself? It's ridiculous to expect exact/updated information from the actual members of some of these guilds, don't you think? "guilds you were changing are in historical status and those guild capes have not been changed since they were archived." That conjecture was proven wrong when I updated the cape jpgs.--Uchiha sasuke 16:28, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

Life Stealing
If we all go by in game. Then why are you redirecting or changing Life Stealing to Life Draining? If it's not displayed in game Yet? As I haven't seen that in game. I am curious? I'm being fussed on by the 28th update, and yet this person doesn't get that? Despite no "proof" in game or that they might by typing wrong information? As so many want to point a finger at me for?
Really, I am applauded here and I just don't understand this point at all. Kaisha 03:20, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

- Ah, must not have been looking right on that one. Just noticed it (clicked on it, hovered, then minimized). I thought it'd be easier to move over the redirect, then use the what links here on the old page and fix those that way. Wouldn't that have been simple? Kaisha 03:37, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- The Life Draining change only effects vamp weapons, not life stealing skills, so moving Life Stealing is not appropriate. -- Wyn talk 03:53, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

RE: "By Ural's Hammer!"
I know if you tried to revert via the history it wouldn't work because the page was already there, but couldn't you have just hit the revert button in the move log instead of deleting the page? Or does it do/come up with the same thing? Never mind, answered on my page. -- Lacky 10:46, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Page Question
Just a quick question. I've finally gotten around to toying with my page design and I seem to be stuck in a particular section. The white space between my "info" boxes I want to make black, but I am at a loss on where to find that to change the color. Thank you so much. Oh an also how to change border box color to a specific color other than the standard black, white, red, etc. ;) bella 08:24, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
