The Battles Isles should be a place where people fight it out, not heroes. (Demonic Cobra 12:32, 24 January 2009 (UTC))
- Just a note. People might make mistakes, but a hero will do the exact same thing every time. You can exploit some of their behaviors if their master isn't keeping them on a short leash. Point being, that while people make mistakes, heroes can be a disadvantage because they don't and can be countered more easily as such. Kelvin Greyheart 15:50, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
ANet should understand that the best way to balance heroes in PvP is actually to ban them from PvP...Ysalis 20:48, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- Kelvin, any more, people don't bring heroes as a substitute for an MIA player. They're brought on builds that utilize no lag, omniscience, and computer reaction time—the time it takes to process being aware of X and having the ability to counter it, which is probably less than 0.005 seconds—while keeping chance of error minimal ([1] and [2] for starters) --Riddle 21:58, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- You know you fail at balance when your pvp metagame is pve. ~Shard 23:24, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- QFT. I dont mind heroes being in the game, just dont let them join into a Player vs Player world. Demonic Cobra 23:32, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- Note that I never said that they are always worse. I am saying that they are reliable. This is a disadvantage in some regards. You can anticipate their skill usage in certain situations, and this makes them slightly more vulnerable to well timed interrupts. I am all for removing them from pvp, just thought I would note that I have found them to be easier to interrupt or diversion in certain situations. Kelvin Greyheart 02:13, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- Being beatable does not make something balanced. ~Shard 02:21, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- Where did I say that they were balanced to begin with? Kelvin Greyheart 02:56, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
- You're defending heroes. Usually you don't defend something you're against, so I assumed you liked having heroes in pvp. ~Shard 08:39, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
