I'm trying to understand what you mean. Are you saying that you're using a hero ranger to pull and only want him to shoot when the foe is within range of your character? Because otherwise, if you're the ranger and are trying to to pull, I've never really seen a problem with auto running to a foe when pulling. You just eventually learn how far away you can be with a certain bow and elevation above or below the enemy in order to keep from running to them. This seems more like a player induced issue, rather than something that needs to be changed within the game mechanics.--Tashiro 22:52, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- After reading your suggestion again, I think I can see what you are saying. If anything, it might be nice to have your heroes have two types of positioning flags on the map. The current flag which tells your hero to move to an area but allows them some freedom of movement, and a hold your ground flag that forces them to not move from the exact spot that you set them to, that would be cool. I still don't think it's necessary, but it would be nice to keep your heroes in check.--209.194.208.116 22:59, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
- There is that, but I'm also annoyed when I pick a nice place to stand, select a skill to target an enemy, then suddenly slide from my position to get the enemy 'in range'. I'd rather hold my ground and wait for the enemy to come to me, thus getting 'first strike' as they approach. If players were able to do that, select a ranged skill, select an enemy, and not actually change their position, it would be a lot nicer. Especially for when someone is trying to 'pull' an enemy to you. Tashiro 23:45, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
