Sig[edit]
Hey, can you give this a read: GWW:SIGN, Signatures aren't allowed to be stored in another file on this wiki. There are certain things that are allowed and certain things that are disallowed, all of which are outline in that page, if you need any help let me know :) -- Scourge 09:10, 24 March 2007 (EDT)
Also if that is a picture of Zoidberg from Futurama, it will have to go too, you don't have permission from FOX Entertainment to use it -- Scourge 09:18, 24 March 2007 (EDT)
- Sure thing, making adjustments now. Well someone's beaten me to deleting my sig file - fair enough just erm give me a notice next time - cheers. I'll send the Zoidberg image to be deleted as well. How do I design a sig with an image then Scourge, you yourself have an image? --Zoidberg 04:33, 25 March 2007 (EDT)
- Ah no worries I can see how to do it now :) . By the way, the signature policy that you directed me to needs to be updated because it doesn't mention anywhere that a separate file/article for signatures is not aloud. Please review. I have another question though, if we put a copyright statement - in this case to FOX Entertainment and other affiliates - in the image file does this give us the right to use the image freely or do we have to gain specific permission? Cheers :) ! --Zoidberg 04:53, 25 March 2007 (EDT)
- This is the section in GWW:SIGN that disallows transclusions, you must have missed it. It's already there, and specifically says that user images can't be stored on a separate page.
- And nah, unfortunately you still can't use the Zoidberg picture, AFAIK, even if you somehow make it clear that it belongs to FOX. They haven't given their permission for you to upload it here. =\
- You can either design your own sig icon, or find a GFDL/Public Domain picture you like and use that (with attribution, of course). Hope that makes sense. :) Cheers! --Dirigible 08:52, 25 March 2007 (EDT)
- Right-i-o, cheers for the help guys ! --Zoidberg 10:04, 25 March 2007 (EDT)
