Ascalon will endure, no matter what.

This is something every Ascalonian knows, from guardsman to peasant. Within this war-torn land, under the shadow of its’ shattered Wall we have survived the harshest of conditions and... under the constant claw of the Charr. We endure.

Though largely forgotten by the rest of the world, our tireless duty to reclaim our land, our devoted prayers have not fallen by the way side to those who matter most: our people and our Gods. Our strength. Our determination. Our unbreakable spirit as a people. All these things have been tested, and have only rung true. And we will forever stand because of this. Our spirits will never be broken!
These are the virtues we hold dear, and these are the very things the Gods themselves have deemed worthwhile. And unto us comes the greatest of honours: Wintersday comes to Ascalon.

As the day draws to it’s end: as the sun slowly begins it crawls below the horizon, we look forward to more than just another day. We look forward with renewed pride: the world comes to Ascalon, and we shall be ready.

The time draws near: Volition is almost upon us.

RPG Radio it proud to announce it's Wintersday 2010 event, Volition. Beginning at Saturday, December 18th at 2pm in Ascalon City International District 1, [RPG] Radio will be streaming music over the virtual air-waves for over eight hours, and giving out prizes to the players of Guild Wars. We will be celebrating the strength of Ascalon and her people, and basking in the glory of the Gods.

Join us around the warmth of an open fire as Symon the Scribe tells us his tales. Be with us as we celebrate the strength of Ascalon and her people. Stand with us as we exercise our own volition. The time is choose is upon us! Who will you stand with: Dwayna, or Grenth?

There's going to be music, fun and prizes. Tune in by going to the RPG Radio website and listen in for your chance to win prizes. There's a whooping 2,000,000 gold to be giving out over the course of the day, and that's only part of it all.

Schedule[edit]

A "GWAMM" Pre-show starts an hour before, where several members of the alliance will be achieving their GWAMM title, and to celebrate, as is our custom, we will be giving out an additional 150K of cash and prizes in celebration.

The Volition party starts at 2pm PST, and goes for a planned eight hours, possibly longer.

Party Games / Events[edit]

While the music is broadcast over the stream of [RPG] Radio, there will be a number of things going on in district along with the main prizes.

  • Chase-a-DJ - Throughout the party, one of the two hosts will be running around the district with sweets, booze and all that good stuff to give out. Just take part and tag the DJ with a trade and you win a little something something.
  • Trivia - Test your Guild Wars knowledge on sets of questions in local chat, be the first to get it right and you win 2k for every correct answer.
  • And whatever the night brings!

Stuff! Giveaways[edit]

Each mic break or via random giveaway in local, the winners of a Stuff! Giveaway scores themselves a trade panel of stuff: things from tastes of various boozes, sweets, some party points, weapons, and the likes.

Cash Prizes[edit]

There is 2,000,000 gold to be given out over the course of the event. Every 30 mins (each micbreak), the DJ will be giving out 100k.
