ArenaNet talk:Guild Wars 2 suggestions/Guild Ranks
Agree
Allowing the Guild Leader to create custom ranks and assign what permissions that rank can do is very beneficial. While the current system works (i.e. Officers are basically Guild Leaders minus the option of touching other officers), a lot of woes could have been solved by allowing the leader to specify what each rank is able to do (e.g. Junior Officer = invite members: yes, kick members: no). --148.87.1.171 02:45, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Chances are that GWW will soon delete this page, like they did with mine >.< But perhaps it wasn't upto scratch. But point is i agree, sometimes you wanna put someone upto trial officership, but not too sure, but ya don't wanna leave them as member, but you don't trust them enough to promo them. But there should be a max and min, also i'd like to have more than 1 guild leader. Sometimes it just gets annoying as people don't know who is the 'real' leader as sometimes i lead it with someone else, due to one being a good leader and the other a good player Lt Death 17:08, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah that would be good. And there could be different things that each person can do. For instance:
- Talk on Guild Chat
- Talk on Alliance Chat
- Start Guild Battles
- Invite Guests
- Invite New Members
- Promote People
- Decorate the Guild Hall
- Create New Ranks
- Add new services
- Kick People
- Restrict Guild Chat/Alliance Chat Talking abilities (Mute)

- There will always be one leader for obvious reasons. But you could introduce a sub-leader and sub-officers. Sacred 13:02, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Guild Hierarchy needs much improvement
If not in GW1 but in GW2 There should be a tie of a particular member to the hiring officer that will not allow kicking members other officers or Guild leader hired. The very process of kicking/hiring should be allowed to be done by vote if Guild is so set up.--HH LEADER 21:05, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- I feel there should have been a co-leader option, or another high-rank that would allow similar power, without being a total leader... It'd be easier for leaders of larger guilds to manage alliances and all that if you could choose to empower someone you trust... Like, say, a friend you know in person or something. It'd just be nice. Kuja Vanagander 05:46, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
