Epinephrine's Discussion
On examining some party healing options (in a table [1]) I noticed that while LoD had very good efficiency, it doesn't perform exceptionally at health per second. I think that the party heal options need to be tweaked a bit, and one thing that needs to happen is that LoD function a bit better than currently. Dropping the recharge from 10 seconds to 7 seconds brings it's healing per second up to 7-8 per party member per second; this would allow it to perform a bit better, while leaving the high health per second option the relatively inefficient Heal Party. --Epinephrine 15:24, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Uuhr, I created pretty much the same suggestion about 5 seconds ago and added it to the list. Anyway, /signed I guess then. Akirai Annuvil 00:38, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
5sec recharge pls , at 10sec this is useless when i have heal party 189.70.109.131 01:28, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- heal party is 15 energy and 2 cast time so you probably can't use it as easily. I think this would be okay at 7-8 recharge. The problem is it is one of those skills that takes minimal player skill to use, especially since it is radar range (unlike Divine Healing/Heaven's Delight/Song of Restoration which are all earshot) and cheap (5 energy). Protective was Kaolai is on a much longer recharge but is also partywide as opposed to earshot. --Life Infusion «T» 03:09, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- 7 recharge sounds pretty fair. It has no high healing, but with better recharge it would be worth a skill slot against party wide (hex) pressure... A. von Rin 16:16, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- The skill used to have a lower recharge, and it outperformed all other monk healing elites. Hands down. The 10 recharge makes the skill have on average 6-7 seconds when you use it with a 40/40 set, and a full 10 sec when on a high armor set. It also allows it to be useful on a 3rd monk or flag runner without breaking the healing monk meta. No buff please, the skill is balanced. --Angelic Loki 10:46, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Needs a 6 to 8 seconds recharge to be balanced. 76.64.56.90 01:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Please read previous posts before you respond. Its been pointed out that it approximately has that recharge when you are using the right equipment. --Angelic Loki 13:11, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

- This skill isn't balanced - if it was people would actually take it. Yes it used to be OP and nobody wants it to go back there, but it's been hit by the "balancing pendulum" here and been over-nerfed when it should have recieved a slightly smaller nerf. A decreased recharge would be fine, possibly a small conditional heal like the old LoD (perhaps, say +2...20...25 health if below 50% or suffering from a condition, for example) to fit the theme a bit too, but then the actual heal might have to be touched down slightly. Either way, we're not crying out for its old 5 sec recharge, but maybe 8 secs as a compromise.

All your points are really interesting in contributing to LoD's optimal function. I honestly would NOT mind paying 10 energy for a slightly buffed version of LoD. Even with a 40 set, it's difficult to provide support, considering it's an elite. My suggestion is to buff the heal output on LoD, leave the recharge time same, but increase the cost to 10 energy. If LoD Healed anywhere from 100-108 at 14 attribute points in healing as does (Heal Party), I am almost certain it would be considered on more bars in the future. I believe as an Elite Skill, it lacks the " ummff " factor, while still maintaining the balance. --Renjamin 20:08, 11 September 2008 (EST)
- This skill just needs a small buff. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:96.233.11.131 (talk).
- Small buffs are good, give maybe 10-15 more heal and 7-8 sec recharge. If they want to they should just add in the conditional thing like they had, except lower, like to 70%.70.108.172.107 19:12, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, agreed. ANet has had a tendancy in the past to overbff and overnerf things. They need some moderation.
