Cure Hex
Armond's Discussion
Would it be interesting if it worked like Mend Ailment? Remove 1 hex and heal for (whatever) for each remaining hex. Set recharge to 5. Say goodbye to hex spam noobs. ~Shard (talk / Nerf List) 23:53, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ooh, that would be interesting. One thing I wanted when I went around putting up hex removal suggestions was diversity, and I just couldn't really find a good way to diversify this from the other hex removals. The thing is, though, Cure is only mediocre now because all it does beyond the hex removal is heal... Veil can pre-veil, Remove recharges fast, Smite damages, and so on and so forth. But a scaling heal would be really neat. -- Armond Warblade 00:00, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- I use it with a veil RC, b/c i can push a 1/2second most times from my 40/40 set, so anything to buff it would b nice 24.141.45.72 00:25, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- And there's proof that hexes are overpowered - people take two hex removals to try to keep up. -- Armond Warblade 00:33, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

I know most of the discussion here focuses on pvp, but as a pve player, I cherish the healing aspect of the skill; its great in my healing build. Then again, pve isn't that big of a challenge, so its not like I won't live if its made all weird to fit the needs of pvpers. - THARKUN 00:38, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- That reminds me, I wanted to propose an AoE hex removal thing... which PvErs would like as well, I suspect. -- Armond Warblade 00:40, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
the suggestion is very good , also for the AoE hex part , that must be the job of Whithdraw Hexes 189.70.157.91 00:47, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Excellent. I'll make that page now. -- Armond Warblade 00:54, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Except, again as a pve player, I'm not going to bring an elite for my hex removal. Well, unless I'm going into a dungeon or zone where that's the primary skill type used by most all creatures.. but even then... Some mild AoE without being elite would be nice, though. Alternately, things like Cure Hex (or spotless mind) are great. - THARKUN 00:58, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Izzy
I have to agree with Izzy's comment. This is strong because when used right it is a ~80-100 point heal and hex removal for 5 energy if you don't run gift of health. Plus, if this were buffed, Healer's Boon monks would be more resistant to hex stacks. Right now a Healer's Boon monk lacks in condition + hex removal (outside of Dismiss condition)since Spotless skills don't benefit from Healer's Boon (and don't target self).--Life Infusion «T» 01:00, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- Once again, the point is to make these skills strong against hex stacks, but weaker, if anything against individual hexes. Considering how powerful hex stacks are, I see absolutely nothing wrong with making HB monks strong against them. Again, most of the time this is not run for the healing; with the buffed healing from HB it's just barely noticeable, but still not worth running solely for the healing. -- Armond Warblade 01:13, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Spotless Mind
Armond's Discussion
Yeah this skill is pretty good as is, it can only be maintained on one person and removes hex stacks nice enough. I would like to see this do some healing though when it removes hexes and do the same for spotless soul but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon.--Underwood 01:15, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- That would make for one hell of a skill. - THARKUN 01:17, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Honestly, at this point I'd far rather have overkill hex removal than the overkill hex pressure we've been dealing with for forever. I went to make a random team build the other day, and I needed a blood magic elite, and I took Spoil Victor because it was a hex and therefore likely to stay for some time. I don't think that's how hexes should be balanced. -- Armond Warblade 01:20, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- It would seem that, given his recent comments, Izzy disagrees that hexes are all that prevalent or problematic. So I doubt your suggestions are going far in the near term. :( - THARKUN 01:24, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think this skill is underpowered at all, this will remove a hex every 5 seconds and one hex when it ends for only 5 energy, also 1/4 activation is great, it's like cast and and forget. Zealous 10:14, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

The problem with the skill
The problem is not the skill description. The first hex is removed after the first 5 seconds are up meaning it isn't for removing important hexes. Essentially meaning it doesn't fit the role of stack removal, since most of the strong stuff will be on the bottom of the stack. --Life Infusion «T» 01:08, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- But it does clean up that stack so you can pew pew off the important ones. -- Armond Warblade 19:43, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Run Divert Hexes imo. Moush 21:02, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Change Spotless!

Izzy, Please change spotless mind/soul to ally! It is so stupid that these cant be used on yourself if you play monk! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 138.87.144.186 (talk • contribs) at 21:51, 16 October 2008 (UTC).

- Outside TA (and maybe RA), which is the spawn of "hexes are pretty damn powerful" and "target the monk first, idiots", where can you actually afford to bring veil and spotless? -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 23:21, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
I hate nubs who say veil yourself. Morons like this never play monk. Veil is probably the easiest thing in the world to remove. Also if you dont have 2 hex removal in 4v4 your going to lose. It is impossible to keep hexs off your team with just veil. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:138.87.144.102 (talk).
- Why Veil AND Spotless? Why not Veil OR Spotless? Shouldn't both hex removal skills be equal in power? 145.94.74.23 14:54, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- one's unlinked one's in healing prayers which removes 3 hexes but only on other allies78.20.153.111 21:03, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
