There is no other skill that is as counterproductive to its profession than this. It's like if warriors had a skill that blinded themselves, or monks had an enchantment that removes the Divine Favor bonus.

There aren't very many elementalist skills that warrant instant cast (and giving up a skill slot) in the first place, but for the ones that do, it's probably worth the exhaustion.
