Final Balance Update for the Necromancer - PvE only[edit]
Goal / Attempt: Making the Necromancer more versatile by altering some skills (especially Blood Magic and Curses).
Primary attribute[edit]
Adding a secondary Pve-only effect:
NEW Soul Reaping :For each point of Soul Reaping, you gain 1 Energy whenever a non-Spirit creature near you dies. You may only gain Energy in this way 3 times every 15 seconds. In PvE, you get 1 HP for every rank in Soul Reaping whenever a non-spirit creature near you dies.
Blood Magic[edit]
Awaken the Blood 10 1 30 Enchantment Spell. Reduced recharge time to 30 seconds and health sacrifice to 25%, increased duration to : (25...53...60 seconds.) You have +2 Blood Magic and Curses. Sacrifice 25% more Health than normal.
Blood Bond
5 1 6 Hex Spell. Reduced rechargte time to 6 seconds.
Blood is Power
33% 1 ¼ Elite Enchantment Spell. Increased energy regeneration to : (10 seconds.) +3...6...7 Energy regeneration. Cannot self-target.
Blood of the Aggressor
5 ¾ 3 Spell. Reduced activation time to 3/4 second and recharge time to 3 seconds, increased life stealing to : Steal 10...50...60 Health. Inflicts Weakness (3...10...12 seconds) if target foe was attacking.
Demonic Flesh
5 1 20 Enchantment Spell. Reduced recharge time to 20 seconds, increased damage to : (30...54...60 seconds.) When using a skill on a foe, deal 5...25...30 shadow damage to all other foes adjacent to you.
Jaundiced Gaze
10 1 15 Enchantment Spell. Increased duration and the number of enchantments to 2 : Removes an enchantment from target foe. Removal effect: your next 2 enchantments cast 0...1...1 second[s] faster and costs 1...8...10 less Energy. (5...17...20)

Oppressive Gaze
10 1 10 Spell. Increased damage to : Deals 25...65...75 damage to target and adjacent foes. Inflicts Poison and Weakness (3...10...12 second) on foes suffering from a condition.
Order of Pain
17% 10 2 Enchantment Spell. Increased duration to 7 seconds and damage to : Enchants all party members (7 seconds). 5...17...20 more damage whenever these party members hit with physical damage.
Order of the Vampire
17% 5 1 5 Elite Enchantment Spell. Reduced activation time to 1 second, increased duration and life stealing to : Enchants all party members (7 seconds.) These party members steal 5...17...20 Health with each physical damage attack. Party members under another Necromancer enchantment are not affected.
Ravenous Gaze
8% 1 1 10 Elite Spell. Increased damage and life stealing to : Deals 15...39...45 damage and steals 15...39...45 Health from target and nearby foes.
Shadow Strike
10 1 10 Spell. Reduced activation time to 1 second and recharge time to 10 seconds, increased damage and life stealing to : Deals 15...47...55 damage. Steals 15...47...55 Health if target foe's Health is above 50%.
Signet of Suffering
8 Elite Signet. Changed completely functionality : Deals 10...42...50 damage to target foe and foes adjacent to target. Applies Weakness, Poison and Disease (2...13...16 seconds) to target foe and foes adjacent to target.

Soul Reaping[edit]

Wail of Doom
10% 1 ¼ 10 Elite Hex Spell. Reduced recharge time to 10 seconds, increased duration to : (1...4...5 second[s].) Target foe's attributes are 0.
Masochism
5 1 20 Enchantment Spell. Increased duration to : (20...52...60 seconds.) You have +2 Death Magic and Soul Reaping. Sacrifice 5...3...3% Health when you cast a spell.
PvE only skills[edit]
Necrosis 5 1 2 Skill. Increased damage to max. 100 : Deals 60...100 damage if target foe has a condition or hex.
Signet of Corruption
1 10 Signet. Reduced recharge time to 10 seconds, increased damage to : Deals 30...70 damage to target and nearby foes. You gain 2 Energy (maximum 12...20) for each of these foes with a condition or hex.
Conclusion[edit]
Well, please don't get me wrong: the Necromancer is very likely amongst the strongest professions in the current game (due to his insane energy management). But when it comes down to PvE, there are basically 3 different types / builds : 1) MM Bomber 2)Prot. Necro 3) Heal Necro. So I figured what the Necro in PvE needs is a heavily reduction of acitvation times and recharge times, since over 90% of PvE battles are very short, to make him "stronger" and more versatile, in terms of dealing damage or supporting the group.
