- Loading screens are fine for instances and special circumstances. But during travel, they can get to be a bit jarring and ruin immersion, especially when they might be used in quick succession. With the Waypoint Travel System, and the talk of loading screens, I have a suggestive request.
- Hide the traditional loading screen with a travel gimmick. Possible example, when going from point A to point B via Waypoint, you see instead a tunnel that you are traveling through as your loading screen (Wormhole or other dimension or whatnot). Or better yet, the path between point A and point B is the loading screen, with the world zooming by in a complete blurr as the character's body is energy beaming/flying across the landscape(or whatnot).
- The emphasis is on the "blurr" so as not to boggle down any special attention to real detail, or real flying. This keeps immersion intact, looks fun, and adds to the atmosphere.
