Thank You!
Just like to say a big thank you to you and the team, at least some of us appreciate all the effort that goes into keeping this game running and trying to make it enjoyable to the players (which can't be an easy job). Oh, and that random "Happy new year" from Leiela Lupus was me :D I hope I didn't annoy you, I realise you often get a whisper overload. Draco 11:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, your message is sure a day brightener. And no friendly greeting is annoying. :) Thanks a lot for your kind thoughts. -- Gaile 05:28, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Hello!
I don't really know you and it's against the grain of my personality to randomly post a hello on an e-celebrity's talk page. However I felt like saying Hello, so Hello :D Do you play billiards?
Also, is there some way we can get a schedule of when/where Mr. Frog will show up to talk to people (if he even does anymore)? I remember catching Mr. Frog once or twice a long time ago and I got some screen shots of him answering my questions. It was awesome, and while I understand the lack of time that you guys must be suffering from, I wish things like Mr. Frog would happen more often (or Mursaat raids or stuff like that)
Happy new year and all of that fun stuff ! Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 22:26, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- The Frog was Gaile Gray's sidekick when she was the Community Relations Manager. Regina Buenoabra, the current CRM, has stated that she doesn't plan to use the Frog or any similar friendly creatures. elix Omni 22:34, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- :( So Gaile was the one I was talking to? (the frog in the screen shots) I don't recall ever meeting the frog while Gaile was there. I just think dynamic events like this really add spice to the game and would help keep people interested (instead of just waiting to see the new hats every year until GW2 or farming the latest Boss/Quest). I don't recall ever meeting the frog while Gaile was there. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 22:39, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, Gaile (and possibly other ArenaNet staff members) controlled the Frog. elix Omni 22:41, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Does she still possess froggy power? Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 22:44, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Would like to thank you Gaile and the rest of the staff for the wonderful Holiday card that I received from you guys. It made my day ^^. --MageMontu 21:00, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Congratulations! You must be very lucky. ^_^ -- Lacky 06:23, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Ale-hound
I noticed you haven't updated that yet...are you still at the 9,000 min mark? [1] I imagine you'd be about tied with me for completion since our characters have been at the bar for almost the same amount of time. --*Yasmin Parvaneh* 23:42, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- I think I'm at 9,996 right now. I was going to tip over *ahem* to Ale Hound during Halloween, then during Wintersday, but I was so bloomin' busy during the first, and so distracted during Wintersday (disconnects and hats and security, oh my!) that I didn't do so. I'll click over during the next holiday event, I guess. Oh wait, there's the Wintersday Rerun coming -- maybe then.
- Good luck with your title, too, Yasmin. :) -- Gaile 23:51, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Dahalia in that screenie is me. I just maxed it on Saturday evening. It was very exciting :) --*Yasmin Parvaneh* 00:01, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- Ack! I totally didn't see (or obviously follow) the link. Congrats! -- Gaile 00:06, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
5th year
Gaile, are you planning to create a page for the 5th year miniature predictions? I always liked it to read the opinions from other players. -- Cyan 22:00, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- Doh, yes I need to do that soon! I'm looking at this page trying to figure out what to move to the Support Issues page for a more topical discussion. But I should have time to make up the predictions page soon. Thanks for the reminder. (And don't hesitate to nudge me if the page is still missing next week. :) ) -- Gaile 22:02, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- Shall do if needed ^^ -- Cyan 10:01, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

- Hey gaile remember me ? Lithril :P i report alot of bugs and news from the community to you since GW first started :P first time on your wall i wrote. anyhoo how about adding hatpack to the in game store for 5th year celebration much like storage pane or some new COSTUMES!!!

When are you free?
Gaile, when are you free- I mean, when do you go on Guild Wars? I need to talk do you, I got a bit of a report to do. Tyria, Cantha, Kaineng City, Kaineng Center, Upper Platform, on the bridge.|Killer demon 19:47, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Killer demon. I am sorry, but I cannot accept in-game reports. I'm only one person, and it is simply impractical for me to try to do that. If you have a report, the best option is for you to send it to the support team and ask that they relay it to me, which they will do. If need be, you could email me using the "Email this user" option on the left of the wiki interface. Thanks for understanding. -- Gaile 23:05, 31 January 2010 (UTC)a
Oh my
Gaile, Im allowed to poke you again, please say it when it hurts =)
However, there is still no page for the 5th year miniature guesses. I don't want to make you rush, but I thought I should give you an (allowed) notice =D -- Cyan 19:16, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

5th Year Mini Pet Predictions?
Hi Gaile! I was browsing your page and saw the 3rd and 4th year mini pet guesses, and was wondering if you'll have a page for the 5th year minis as well. If so, I'll be participating! hehe Tender Wolf 04:17, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
- Gaile In case you didn't know people want a 5th year mini pet guess.Although I'm pretty sure you know since people have asked you about 10 times now. Thanks ! Lilondra 14:08, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) The new predictions page is ready for your input. As always, I do not know and could not say what plans are in store for this year's anniversary, so... err... predict at your own risk! :) :) -- Gaile 20:42, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Do you do the Jedi Wave ?
Like this man ?
If you got time, it can be both quite relaxing and educationnal, given your position, to watch this. It can help to know how people get some informations on a product that have not been released yet ( i dont speak for me, dont reach for the guns ! :) ).

WorldScribe - Blog
Heya Gaile,
I'd like to point you towards a blog I'm writing. It's about Batavus the Scribe and his journey while looking forward to Guild Wars 2. You can find said blog via the following link: http://worldscribe.wordpress.com I'm thinking of updating it every workday and skip the weekends, I hope you stop by and leave a comment!
Thanks for reading :D Dutch Sunshine 14:01, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hi DS. I don't have time to read right now, but glancing at the front page of the personal blog, I would suggest you change the descriptor a bit. We had an official (ArenaNet) column called The Scribe for some years. A blog called "The wandering scribe in Tyria" might be confusing for some folks, since this is an entirely different project.
- I'll give it a read when I have a chance, and thanks for letting me know about your efforts. :) -- Gaile 20:17, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
You

Starcraft...this is totally off topic...
...But I've been dying to ask. If Adrin or Shard wanted to challenge you to a game of SC would you accept? I've always wanted to see you own them both.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 18:08, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Oh gad, Yasmin! I'm so rusty, I wouldn't know a Zealot from a Reaver. I thought of playing again, but I think the game is really based on split-second timing (yeah, I know, I'm stating the obvious ;) ) and I used to break out in a sweat if I set up my forge .4 seconds too late. I can remember it was like a pulse beat, like I could feel (three, two, one, click) as I was setting them up, choosing the next node, whatever. And that was really, really cool. I miss it. But I know it'd take me a long, long time to get back into something close to form, and in the meantime, I'd die a thousand deaths (well, on the screen quite literally) with the humiliation of being sooo awful! :)
- So thanks for the invitation, and I wish I could, but I know I can't. (Are they in the beta test for II?) -- Gaile 18:53, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- Adrin has signed up for the selection process, but wasn't selected. Either way, the boys were too scared to ask you, so I figured I would.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 19:05, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
- SC I personally never had much intrest for any other comp games apart from GW really, but still it would be interesting to see what the new one has I suppose. Oh and, do any other members of Area Net have talk pages like this Gaile? Because I'm interested in asking questions to the artists. Just a thought. User: Austin1
- There you go ^^ Though do remember to ask your questions on the artists' user talk page (if they even have one). This might be useful to search for those. - J.P.Talk 07:03, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Hey Gaile
Hey Gaile Firemane here I just wanted to let you know a few things first of all Spike my title hunter is 2 away I hit Incorrigible Ale-Hound about a month and a half ago thanks to Nick's Kegs so all I need for my goal of GWAMM in 2 years is Party Animal and Sweet Tooth maxed which PA is almost there ST will be easy to get durning the Easter weekend b/c of the Bunnies. I would like to know if I could send an invite to my guild I started for title hunters and those who like to have fun to celebrate GWAMM once I get PA at about 9997 (1 Crate of Fireworks)and ST done! I would love if you can come! Also I saw on the Journal Page dated April 1st, 2009 talking about the Gwen chan fools joke and you mentioned about a Tonic and even though there is the Mysterious tonic that could turn you into Gwen Chan its not enough for me I would love to see an Everlasting Gwen Tonic for lets say 5th Year Celebration? (I know this doesnt belong here but hey I figure adding it before I forget!) --Spike Firemane 02:29, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
Journal Update?
So we gona get an update soon its been a few weeks, well actally 4 months since you announced you were gona update lol. Also quick question are you gona have the same role in GW2 or any at all? Cheers :D DazUltra 19:54, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I do need to update, I know, I know. :-/ It's just been a manically busy year so far! As to the second question, I think that isn't for me to say, but thank you for asking. -- Gaile 01:54, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Green Weapons
- Is it can be new Green Weapons tiem nao, ples?
- With all these new bosses, it would be a good opportunity to add more to Prophecies.
- Since Gaile usually creates the Minipet Predictions, I figure it would be neat to do the same for Green Weapons, should they be added into the game.
- Add your Peacekeeper Green Weapon predictions here! --Curin Derwin 15:39, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Gaile is support, not development. I keep telling you to make a feedback namespace suggestion: Feedback:Getting started. Rose Of Kali 02:42, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Curin. I see what you're asking, and I agree it would be exciting to see new Greens. I don't know if the team is planning anything like that at the present time. I think I'll hold off on making a predictions page for a while, which I'm sure you'll understand. Thanks for the idea, though. :) -- Gaile 01:49, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks so much for the response, Gaile! In the meantime, I've set up an "unofficial" (so to speak) predictions page, found here. If you ever happen to create one yourself, may I have permission to merge those who have posted on my page with yours? Cheers, Curin Derwin 22:35, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sure Curin, errr.. "permission granted." However, as I said, I don't anticipate making a Greenies Prediction Page, and I'm glad that you did. -- Gaile 19:00, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

- I get that question several times a week. I don't think there are enough bosses, characters, NPCs, and monsters in the game to name one after every Guild War fan. :) -- Gaile 23:41, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe he meant if there will ever be some kind of contest or contest price that would rename the last unnamed bosses. There are still some bosses without a proper name, like some Mursaat and some ettin bosses (I know that are more, but I can't remember them all, and they are not categorized in this wiki). Those could be renamed without having to add new bosses. Still, there are not enough of those for all fans, so that's why it would have to be a contest to rename them, or a character name used for them as a price of other competition, or something like that. MithTalk 13:06, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- Here, I made you a category with all of them I could find: Category:Anonymous bosses. MithTalk 13:57, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Talking about fetched theories and unnamed bosses - the Ice Drake appears to be an unnamed boss to me as well. For some reason, he gets sometimes replaced by Whiskar Featherstorm, which (except for the name) is essentially the same creature. They are the only drakes in the Northern Shiverpeaks (Whiskar also appears in Griffon's Mouth, but as well as the only drake). Therefore i think that during development, it was planned to have regular creatures named "Ice Drake" in the Northern Shiverpeaks, and these bosses were the only Drakes eventually left there. Since the Ice Drake boss and Whiskar are duplicates, i also think Anet actually intended to remove it from the game entirely by replacing it with Whiskar in the Borlis Pass mission. A contradiction of this theory is the description of the bonus objective in this mission, though. ("*BONUS* Kill the ice drake.") —ZerphaThe Improver 14:25, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- I only really count as 'unnamed' those that appear with other similar non-boss creatures. The ice drake not only appears alone, but it seems that there are only two, and they are both bosses, so I don't count him as unnamed. But a minotaur boss called 'Minotaur' that is accompanied by other Minotaurs that are also called 'Minotaur' is what I call an anonymous Minotaur boss. MithTalk 16:48, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah i know, i never asked you to add it to this category, i just thought i might point out that this foe could possibly once have been an unnamed boss before Ice Drakes were removed during development :P —ZerphaThe Improver 12:42, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- Im Sorry but what do ice drakes and Minotaurs have to do with the placement of the Shining Blade Camp? :/ --Neil2250 , Render Lord 12:44, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- i didn't quite get the relation either when Myth came up with these NPCs, but my opening paragraph above creates some sort of connection if this makes you happy :P —ZerphaThe Improver 13:04, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Racoonish
Hi Gaile, How are Franklin and Winston doing. Still making faces to the backyard racoonish friend? Wondering what adventures they had past months. Everything fine? Didis 21:19, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
- Their raccoon friend has not been back in the weeks since Franklin wrote about him. I guess that was a drive-by raccooning, and not a sign that he was setting up housekeeping in the backyard. (He would be more than welcome to do that, btw.) Thanks for asking after the boys, Didis. I told them you'd posted to inquire about their welfare, and they looked quite proud. :) -- Gaile 01:58, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Long time no See Gaile!
Have a little Question to ask here, Since we get rewards in GW2 from GW1 HoM and we can 'transfer' Names, it seems pritty easy right? Email to Email adress along the lines of 'Do you want to put your Archievements from HoM into GW2? y/n' (at least thats what i think it'l be like), What would happen if such an Email adress Didnt Exist or was abandond/forgoten, what would happen to the Transfer proces then? Please Respond, its been on my chest since...forever, becuase 3 years ago my brother Mis-typed my email adress now i have to press 'continue' every time i log in... just if you could reply- thx --Neil2250 , Render Lord 22:32, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

Some ideas and a small suggestion
Gaile, I was wondering if I could get some input on some suggestions I made for Guild Wars 2? The ideas are at: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedback:User/Miclee/Armor_Heraldry and http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedback:User/Miclee/Enemy_Skin_Diversity. Hope you can take a look at them and tell me what you think or what I could change/improve on them.
Also, an off-topic suggestion of a game some of you guys should try. :P It's an indie game that's pretty fun: http://minecraft.net/
Thanks! Miclee 21:13, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hey Miclee. You know, I'm not sure it would be appropriate or courteous for me to post my thoughts on a suggestions page, because really, I think you guys are making your suggestions for the designers, and I'm just not a designer. I guess I could comment as a player, or as a lover of the game, but I sure couldn't give any sort of awesome designer-type feedback and I wouldn't want to disappoint you by having you think that I could.
- Oh, and thanks for the game tip. We're always looking for fun things to play. :) -- Gaile 23:54, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
GW2 Wait
I recently stopped playing GW cause 5 years of playing does tend to get a bit repedative so now i guess il see if the new is any good in reviews......dont ask me why I posted this...
- We certainly do not expect every Guild Wars player to continue to play our games regularly until the release of Guild Wars 2. Our philosophy has always been that most players enjoy many games, and that, with no monthly fee, there's no pressure for someone to play Guild Wars every day, or to play only Guild Wars. Come for a festival, stop by for a weekend or to hook up with a friend or two for a couple of runs, build a new character... it's all up to you! So sure, I understand what you've said, and I hope to see you in Guild Wars 2. :) -- Gaile 19:52, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
- I usually pop back on for festival events myself and came back after two years full time to complete EtoN and fill up my HoM. The game will always be there right? Of course.
- Might I make a few suggestions to those that wish to branch out for the time being. Aion, published by NCSoft is an excellent game, and for all those that do not want to pay a monthly fee, there are games out there like Perfect World International and Jade Dynasty to pass the time until GW2 arrives.
- And Gaile, guess this the best place as any for me to say these GW2 trailers are kickin'. My better half and I have already picked our initial races. Gares Redstorm sounds pretty good for a Charr name. ;) Can't wait for the next one. =) — Gares 18:06, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- I have tried other MMO's like WoW, Silkroad Online, Perfect world, Rappelz... but they don't seem to hold my interest very long. I was only able to play the WoW trial for about 40 minutes before I was bored. The longest I played was Rappelz, I got one character to level 27. At the moment though I don't have a lot of free time so I don't play anything else other than guildwars; hopefully by the time guildwars 2 comes out I'll have a lot more free time on my hands... probably not ^_^. In anycase I can't wait for Guildwars 2. --Lania Elderfire 18:31, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah. I loved Guild Wars, love it still. Wouldn't have spent around $450 or become a major editor the wikis if I didn't. Had a blast playing and hope that my discoveries and documentation helped others. After diving in to everything the game can offer, all that's left are the grinding titles, like Drunkard or Sweettooth, that I just couldn't get into. Just wasn't my cup of tea. In any case, I am taking the week of GW2's release off and I'll be wearing out my SS button. lol. I'll know more about the Charr starting area than the designers by the time I'm done with it. ;) — Gares 12:48, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

- Hi Austin. So far I've just gotten a couple of commons. I do have 10 accounts, and up to a dozen characters on each account, but most of the characters were made later (and I did a lot of deleting of early characters *sniff* ) so not that many of my girls turn 5 on the 5th anniversary of Guild Wars. I keep crossing my fingers, though! Which ones have you gotten?
- I had a nice conversation with Linsey about the miniatures; she showed me what was coming and I have to say I think it's a good assortment. I'm hoping she'll add a mini I've been obsessing over for a couple of years. Dwayna knows, Linsey has sure been patient listening to me plead the case! ;) You know, I bet that one will come along someday, too. -- Gaile 22:40, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- I havent recieved my 5th mini since i didnt start playing till a year after it came out but still doesnt matter. I didnt expect a mini mox but there u go. And ur lucky gaile, if u have over 10 accounts then u have a higher percent chance to get a good one. yet ur frog dominates all minis so i guess u alone will always be happy with minis . -- User:Austin1
- Well, I've always been a big fan of the minis, that's for sure. I think that may be why the team decided to create my little companion for me, you know, because they knew it would be the most meaningful gift they could give. He and I still "travel the countryside" on a regular basis, and he still has that dry sense of humour. :) -- Gaile 19:06, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, but why a frog? just out of intrest why did they choose a frog? Did you choose the Frog or was it a random choice? And, is the frog being brought into GW2? It's kind of your symbol of power I guess you would call it. But if he is in GW2 he is going to be 250 years old. Uh and can you dedicate your frog? -- User:Austin1

GuildMag
Hey Gaile, remember how I first came her to tell you about my blog? Well, I scrapped that, as you might've seen. That was because I wanted to dedicate my time to something else, namely GuildMag. You might've hear from us already but I though I'd come here and see what you think of it :) You can find our magazine at: http://guildmag.com There has been quite a few people that have joined me doing this, and frankly enough I couldnt have done it without them! I hope you enjoy reading our magazine, and am curious of what you think of it! Dutch Sunshine 09:13, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

GW2 Skillbar
I just remembered something. On the official GW2 website, its says that, i think it was 5 skillz out of 10 are going to be weapon only skillz that u cant change. I doubt that its changable now but if you only have 5 skills of ur own then say for assassin, wont u not hav enough skills to stay alive and kill or do you have to rely on your team to make it more of a team based game? And for the weapons, do they have all the same 5 skillz as the rest of their range, for instince do all staffs have the same skills if they are of the same req type , i mean like are all air magic staffs have the same skills. I know it got a bit confusing but I could not think of any other way to word it. -- User:Austin1
- Hi Austin. I'm not sure that we can get into the details of how things work, because after all, many things are not finalized. Info is coming out, though, as you have seen lately. :) I would recommend that you scan through the new interviews that have been posted around the Internet to see if your questions are address, or watch for another update in the future that defines the skills and how they apply to characters/professions and weapons. -- Gaile 19:04, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

- Day of Dhuum? Botocalypse? Dhuum's Day? Nice blog update Gaile :) but can we have them a bit more frequently plz k tnx ;) --San Darkwood 15:09, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- @Tylenol Jones -- the thing is, every mark on an account becomes part of its permanent record. Naturally, a swear word doesn't get the same individual action as the use of a cheat. But... if someone has sufficient bad names or swear words or other "minor" breaches, he can get banned, anyway. With a "permanent record" system, a player can amass enough actions to earn himself a "Repeated Violation" account termination. (I see a few of those happen each and every week, sometimes more than a few.) So if someone thinks it's a joke to get banned, he may find the joke is on him when the aggregate marks on his account result in its permanent closure. :-/
- @San -- thanks for the kind words. I'm going to make a concerted effort to remember that page more than every few months. :) -- Gaile 21:03, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
- @Gaile, ha that's great news! Not great that people behave like it's some kind of badge of honor amongst their peers, but great that it can ultimately result in a permanent ban. BTW, new idea for banned accounts. Instead of having them completely inaccessable. Why not have all the accounts characters placed in an instance of a corn field they can't map out of, use chat, transfer items or anything else. But include a storage chest that just happens to be broken. Now I can forgive you for not knowing the show 4400, but if you don't know about the corn field, I'll be hurt. :D Tylenol Jones 02:21, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- The corn fields with which I'm most familiar are the Battlefield at Antietam (history geek here: Miller's Corn Field) and the one where Dorothy finds The Scarecrow of Oz. I'm not much for telly, as you can tell. :) -- Gaile 02:30, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- *holds back tears* lol. It was a place in the most well known Twilight Zone episode, where a kid would send people he didn't like. From which there was no way to return. It would be like the true afterlife of a Guild Wars character who had misbehaved in their life, they're own private hell (like include lots of farmable enemies, but no way to kill them, or tons of high end chests but no lockpicks). A cruel fate that I bet the designers would have a good laugh creating. Though now you mentioned it, perhaps an afterlife of being stuck in the Wizard of Oz would be far more cruel... Just kidding! :D Tylenol Jones 02:41, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Oh man, a Twilight Zone reference, and I missed it? Major booo for me! Heck, I remember Twilight Zone when things with "Twilight" in the name were actually good. :) I don't think it's the most well-known, except that it was replicated in the movie of the same name so it got some pretty major coverage then. I personally have many others I liked better. My fave may have been the one -- don't know the title -- where the people wake up in a deserted town that feels fake, like it's a movie set or something -- pretend trees, hollow walls, etc. And in the end they find out... oh, never mind, that would be a spoiler. ;)
- And watch it, TJ. The Wizard of Oz is my favourite movie of all time, so you have to be very, very careful to add that "just kidding" if you make snide remarks. Otherwise, I'll have Myra Gulch on ya in a nanosecond! -- Gaile 04:38, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Wait, I have to think. I can't find the one I mentioned, but dang, Time Enough at Last is a classic! Great, now I'm stuck in the wiki reading synopses of TV programs from the 1960's. :) -- Gaile 04:51, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hahaha, wiki's can be dangerous! :D I think I know the episode you mean, but can't for the life of me remember the title now, wasn't the pilot episode was it? Or the one with the alien invasion? Ok that's no help, there were a million invasion stories, in fact one of my favorites was The Invaders episode, genuinely scared me as a kid. I always preferred the B&W ones, and Burgess Meredith was always awesome, I know how he must have felt, I had a whole night set aside to play GW once, no distractions, no appointments... and my net went off, lol. Sorry for the Oz comment (visions of a ban screen involving the words "revenge, Wizard, and Gaile") ;) It's to hide the fact I like it really! :D Oh and another who's not a fan of the recent Twilighty things huh? Yay our numbers grow stronger, haha. Tylenol Jones 07:25, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- I liked that episode. I also remember A Hundred Yards Over the Rim. Not all the stories were spooky, but I usually remember the spooky ones best. :) This one was on the unspooky side, but does well with a traditional theme. And Cliff Robertson -- that's a plus. -- Gaile 04:25, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- Oh that was a great one, simple concept, well written and a happy ending without being bogged down with a dozen subplots and twists and turns. I guess that's why many of the episodes are so watchable even today, they didn't try to be something they weren't, and didn't rely on fancy effects or sets, heck some of the best ones IMO were often set entirely in a single room with just a couple of characters. They don't make them like they used to do they? Reminded me a little of The 7th is made up of Phantoms guess I like the whole time travel storyline thing. :) Actually, looking through them now, it seems most of Season 2 had a heck of a lot of classics in it, The Rip Van Winkle Caper, and The Obsolete Man for example, good old Burgess plus Fritz Weaver and a great ending to boot. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the one with Shatner on the plane btw :D Though I think the movie version of that with John Lithgow was better, since lets be honest, Captain Kirk losing his mind due to seeing a monster on the wing just wouldn't happen now would it?? ;) Tylenol Jones 11:32, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

- In the tradition of Anet's many cultural references
They should have banned 4400 accounts instead of 3700. Due to the canceled show of the same name, and it's episode "The wrath of Graham".... Oh ok, it's a stretch, but no more than some skill references! :) Tylenol Jones 10:59, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Actually
Is Glint OR Kunaavang going to be in GW2?, I know Glint would probably be dead [Old age] but Kunaavang was well, but the looks of her a young dragon still. just a Q i thought of. And i did enjoy reading that page on your own story, Race-Proffession-Backround-Random sympathy or other question-gameing --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 60.240.170.176 (talk).
- Dragons (in the context of GW, though in many other tales too), tend to be very, very long lived, and since the others have been around for many centuries but simply asleep, I think it's fair to say Glint will still be around in 200+ years, dunno about Kunnavang though, is she and the others of her type, considered a "true" dragon? Tylenol Jones 07:25, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- Please sign your comments. Jones is correct on that. By the fact that we have dragons waking up that have been sleeping for centuries, Glint should most certainly be around. If i'm not mistaken some article compared Glint and Kunaavang to children in reference to the ancient dragons. Personally i would bet we will be seeing more of them both. Siris/talk 07:32, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- Plus she'll make a useful plot device. The scientist who explains the difficult parts of the story so to speak (minus the removal of dark rimmed glasses each time, or the far too hot to be a genuine assistant who falls for the scientist after being saved from the brain eating slugs from Venus). Perhaps she'll also have a part to play in the linking up of GW1 character's HoH achievements with GW2 character bonuses we've heard about, since she knew them personally all those years before and might know how to activate the "connection" in what will probably be the ruins of the Hall of Monuments at that point. A fun quest chain where your GW2 character searches through the wilderness of the Far Shiverpeaks, eventually finding what's left of it, heading inside and discovering rare artifacts left by your ancestor and long since forgotten, which you can then pillage and WTS in Ebonhawk with the hundreds of others selling rare artifacts. ;) Tylenol Jones 12:36, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Take a break & Drunkard Max
Hiya Gaile, First I have to say what a Great Job the Support Team (of course as all staff is doing in their area's) has been doing with this whole Bot problem. Thank You! I will face any size Dragon or Mob to back ya up on it. I think you should Finally Max your Drunkard during Winters Day in July, since your so close and been letting it Chillax and Fermet, LOL. I know you are a non stop worker so Ct has to step in to say take a break and have Fun, so Winters Day looks good, LOL, Lets hang out & Party with the community Ct Pound 02:07, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hey Ct. You're right, I'm sadly overdue to max Drunkard. It's not like I'm not playing, it's just that it's the last title I think I'll be able to get -- at least for a while -- and I sort of enjoy the anticipation. Once I click over, it'll be like a birthday party: presents opened, thank yous expressed, cake consumed... now what? :) :)
- I was planning to get the title at the Halloween event, then Wintersday, and I flubbed it at both. I was there, I just got too caught up in the event, or in the MPB farming, and before I knew it, the opportunity was gone. I may save maxing for Halloween, though, since that is my favourite holiday of all, in real life and in the game. <3 MKT -- even his jokes! :) -- Gaile 18:58, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Ok, so i was just running around the shiverpeaks, taking pictures of interesting things on the maps with texmod (i have a conspiracy up there…) and was just clicking through the maps.. Sorrows furnace... granite citadel, and then, i found these.
it looks like sketches of the southern shiverpeak buildings that exist somewhere in live, mind explaining? o.o --Neil2250 12:34, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

- I don't think they're to do with LOD, or Billboards. Maybe just placeholder textures from early on (common thing to do) they look quickly sketched, probably with a wireframe in the background and were used to make sure things are looking ok before the artists have finished the actual artwork. Failing that, maybe, if there's more of them, they're used as part of the environment light-mapping. Though I'm gonna assume they're just placeholders that were left in by accident. I don't think there's any meaning behind them though, or the border around the first one. I'll put my money on placeholders that were forgotten. Just to be really anal though, they look like they were sketched with a brush from Corel Painter. *geek mode* Tylenol Jones 19:39, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- If you pulled them out with texmod, then they have something to so with current status, not sketches or placeholders. Looks like alpha mapping for lighting if I were to simply guess. Alphas don't have to look pretty to get the job done.-- Pyron Sy 21:56, 14 June 2010 (UTC)

Administration suggestions
Hia Gaile! I dont know im doing that in good place (if wrong - move that section), but I just want to ask you what do you personally think about some of my suggestions in feedback. I think reporting system for verbal abouses in foreign languages is still worse (for example, my report #100628-003264 at NCSoft Support is still under investigation after 4 days, but bannishing flamers after a week is pointless). Is there are any possiblity to introduce Volunteer Gamemasters or Diplomats and develop any of described functions? If no, why? Thanks for response. Demonical Monk 23:36, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- It seems like that would be too risky, since they would have to trust the users they pick for the job, and how easy is it to trust one person in a multi-million-player game? I like the higher-priority reports idea, that could also be slightly abused but would then be much more easily dealt with. The skill is also a neat idea, though maybe a little much until a volunteer would gain trust from ANet or something.
- I do hope something like this could be looked into. It could certainly make the report system a lot more efficient. --Kyoshi (Talk) 01:57, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- But about skill... There are still people that can be trusted. Just to avoid mute spamming it will be limited to one muting per minute and Diplomat should allways have to post reason of muting player with screens if he is asked by gamemaster... Thats imo better than bannishing player after 1...7 days from incident. Demonical Monk 09:56, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- Doesn't games like world of warcraft have some kind of limited volunteer GM system? I don't think giving people banning rights is a good idea, but giving them extended rights to help support the NCsoft administrative team might not be too bad. I don't think you need many GM's, and as for recruitment, I think the GWW B-crats might be a nice place to start... just kidding! :D they have enough on their plate. --Lania 18:40, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yep, main game designer James Phinney says their mission is to make stable, speed and friendly administration. But its not only about botting! There are a lot of rule violations and screens are not allways in English. Current system is more than bad, its omfgwtfcrap... Verbal abouse report at NC Support. - What would really be funny would be that all GM's turn into dhuum's and fly around the town like the wraiths from LOTR. --Lania 20:02, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- You all see that system in other games works well ;] Demonical Monk 20:55, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- I did say I agree; the system would just have to be implemented correctly. I like the idea, I'm just cautiously optimistic and stating the potential issues I see. --Kyoshi (Talk) 22:12, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

- The problem is, this is not an issue for Gaile. This is an issue for the game designers. Bringing it to her attention is nice and all, but there is nothing she's going to really be able to do about it. As it is, your suggestion is where it needs to be to be seen by the people who need to see it. While I agree that the support team would be consulted in some fashion, remember that other than Gaile, support is run by NCSoft, not ArenaNet. As for the suggestion itself, in Game Mods, are problematic. I am not convinced they are a good thing for GW, I don't even see them being in any way effective to alleviate the problems you are specifically addressing, i.e. language, unless they were to have 24/7 coverage in all supported languages, which, imo, will never happen. The fact that foreign language reports have to be translated is par for the course, and a 3-7 day turn around is absolutely within normal limits. -- Wyn talk 00:13, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

- That's not an ambiguous example at all. And spending time playing a game does not dictate a persons level of maturity or capability to fulfill a role in the community such as this, especially in an area as user friendly as hero's ascent. Any person selected for it is more or less just inflating their ego; a fancy chat colour and banning priviledges? C'mon! Even with constraints placed upon the user there is too much room for abuse of power and some of your criteria suggested for applicants just doesn't seem right, mainly twenty four months across all chars and having beaten areas in the game. Again time does not equal skill, at least not for an unbiased mediator. In theory it could work, but there is no practical or feasible way for it to be applied without creating an unnecessary amount of controversy over what essentially should be a non-issue in game. There is another temporary solution that is already available to every player that you can use to stop some one from harrassing you - the ignore list. It just seems assinine to give a select few from the community powers over the vast majority of players when agitators can already be disposed of easily, just to make foreign language issues processed faster. LunchboxOctober 12:54, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- Try to ignore every flamer/spammer in Kamadan Polish-1, like some other districts your list will get full after several hours. Demonical Monk 13:17, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- I think you have high standards if you're expecting something good in Kamadan. The greatest flaw is the limit, but you shouldn't have to fill your ignore list and keep it full. Most griefers don't hold on to grudges after a couple hours. But instead of adressing the only short-coming of a outpost population vs a limited list size of 100 arguement with a hyperbole I would appreciate it if there was some logic to your example of Kamadan. It is not mockingly called Spamadan for no reason, and is where most of the in game population congregates to sell items. They act out the broad spectrum of human emotion. But if you're sitting in Kamadan for several hours, you're inevitably going to meet people you like and dislike, some that spam and some that sensibly post. That's life. Instead of trying to address the issue in GW it would be better to lobby for an improved system for GW2, where the focus and manpower is. If server space can be dedicated to house an ingame auction system and improvements are done to the friends / enemies list it would help alleviate the issues. But as it stands, the idea of having one or more people to sit in Kamadan to hop districts keeping the peace is just unnecessary and having them be volunteers leaves little recourse or accountability for when the powers of it are abused. LunchboxOctober 18:10, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- Im not expecting something good in Kamadan. Game designers are expecting, new AN mission here is to improve ban system, so im suggesting several ways to introduce some small group of experienced and friendly players into little administration :P And GW2 is totally other and independing project, moving to GW2 because GW1 hasn't got good report system is stupid, better way is to fix it. Starcraft 2
So, just a couple of days left. Since I read sometime that you played Starcraft; are you going to buy it? :) InfestedHydralisk 02:10, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- I played the heck out of StarCraft. And I loved it sooooo much. I love it still. Little known facts: I was one of the small group of closed beta testers for the game. I was named one of their "20 Top Testers," which was a thrill. I wrote the first published review of StarCraft, and one of the longest written, as well. (And I'm told the team passed around the link like wildfire and that they were really happy with the review.) I had an amazing win/loss record, at one time. But I stank at Zerg, so I refused to play "random." :)
- I didn't apply for the beta test this time around. I've only followed the game lightly. Part of the interest for me was being involved in the beta -- seeing it from the ground up -- and a lot of the interest was in the social interaction with a group of friends with whom I've lost touch. It would be a difficult path to try to recapture the magic of that experience, and sometimes, it's better to keep a warm memory than try, in vain, to rekindle it. So in the end, while it calls me to my very soul, I am still unsure if I will play it or not. -- Gaile 19:03, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- But it's awesome! Forget about rekindling the old, make some new magic! Silmalel 13:18, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Guild Wars 2 and Gamescom
Greetings darling. The Queen attended the Gamescom recently and got a hands on preview of Guild Wars 2. I was most impressed to see what Tyria looks like in the future, and that future looks good. My darkest compliments to Those That Serve on a job well done. The Queen was silently hoping that she might run into you at Gamescom, but alas I did not see you there. The Queen had a lovely chat with Regina though, who was online from the states. I was quite glad to see a Tyria without any mesmers in it, everything seemed so peaceful. No frantic riverdancing, or painful green outfits. No mesmer ladies dressed like the kind found at Cantha's docks tending to lonely sailors. Just necromancers, warriors and rangers. Ah, what an almost perfect world! So please, give my compliments to the team, and tell them not to bother with mesmers in Guild Wars 2. Just necromancers is fine. The Queen had a delightful time commanding the all new Blood Fiends and Shadow Fiend, and I do like the new look of the Bone Fiends. Sort of like undead devourers are they not? The Death Shroud ability is a lovely addition, making a necromancer truly a force to be reckoned with. The Queen also enjoyed the many sights, like the beautiful and gigantic Divinities Reach. It even has an aquarium! Oh I think both Daniel Frozenwind and yours cruely will be organising some amazing events there 250 years from now. Depending of course on the state of Lion's Arch, because that is kind of the Queen's home. Oh there is so much to talk about. So many impressions and so little time. My compliments to the team. - Technically, it was written in the first person, she just played the part of someone narcissistic enough to refer to herself in the 3rd person. And, frankly, I find it offensive that she utterly failed to mention the presence of elementalists in Tyria. Especially for one who loves corpses so much, she should have been delighted at the presence of individuals that are so adept at producing a large number of corpses in a short amount of time. Mdm. Malafide, I strongly suggest that you check yo' self. (Satanael | talk) 22:47, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Just wanted to drop by your page to say thanks again Gaile for helping make PAX so memorable this year. :) (I was the ex-New Zealand guy with the longish blonde hair, and you also saw me in-game near the end.) Had a blast finding out what GW2 was like -- only gripe was that I didn't have enough time to go tweaking my armor dye to my satisfaction! (Yes, even after four sessions!) Looking forward to more of this game. -- Sirius (talk) 02:16, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hey, Sirius, it was great to meet you at PAX! Also, I don't blame you for the armour tweaking -- that's a great dye system and I have tons of fun playing with it myself! :) -- Gaile 21:51, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Why does'nt anything like this happen in Australia? Your all getting sneak previews and I am in the dark. Is there going to be an Australian preview? User:Austin1
- Is there a major Australian game convention? --Kyoshi (Talk) 19:57, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- I am more than willing to come to Australia and talk about...uhh... support issues. Yeaaah, that's it. :) Seriously, I don't know of any major game show in Aus, and the costs of our participation would be extremely high. Do know I love our Aussie (and Kiwi) players, though -- always have! -- Gaile 23:03, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- The closest thing would be the Armageddon Expo I think, although that was last weekend and is pop culture related rather than games... :o -- WarBlade 02:21, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Loved your article on the GW Music!
I've been a lot of playing Guid Wars lately and was tossing around the idea of submitting some music to Soule to include in his DirectSong expansions (I'm a former VGM composer myself). So I started searching around to see how much interest there is in the community for the music of GW (its sooo quiet by default!). The first thing I came on was your article. Some great ideas in there :) Lots of familiar ones that believe it or not go back some time. These days WWise is a cool editor that would allow a lot of the things you suggested. I wish they'd move to that (if they haven't already). Anyway, I share your frustration with wasted composition efforts because of engines that stupidly restart the same track over and over again before you get to hear any of it. I worked on a game where I put tons of effort into making the music variable every time you hear it...then another composer gets hired by the publisher (one who was renown for adaptive music even) and the music he adds ends up being completely linear in how it starts. 30 minutes of music that he wrote, probably only 5 of it gets heard in the game!
Hope you don't mind. Here's me demonstrating some of the fancy tricks you can do with game music if you use an old MIDI engine that was en vogue for a little while: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVjNRt9AaHQ
Here's an update I did recently of that music to make give it more luster and shine than music autogenerated on a 6 year old computer using only 11MB of RAM. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9264701
Oh and lol I actually applied to work on GW back before it released. They sent me a polite note saying they were using Soule ^^ Of course I backed down, his work is awesomely beautiful.
Working at ANET would be quite fun. User:Austin1
- There is music composed by groups like Tetsu Inoune and Fennez that in a quite obvious way makes a good example of new ambient music with somewhat ever changing and minimalistic sounds. Music like this must be easy to autogenerate and still sound as a premade compositions. I decided to put a link here with a track by Tetsu Inoune, a tune that has a length of 10 minutes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXop6zGUj9c. --Kram 00:49, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- Austin -- Thanks for the kind words! But to tell the truth, I've written so many articles, reviews, interviews, and so forth over the years, I don't think I remember that one, although music, and game music, are and have always been close to my heart. I'm pretty sure I penned several on the subject. Basically, umm... It's sort of embarrassing to have to ask this, but could you send me a link (to my own article)? *lol* -- Gaile 02:39, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Other games?
I'm sure the artists and developers of Guild Wars play other games, but one in particular keeps coming to mind because I've run across quite a few things (both visual and story related) that remind me of an old MUD I played back in high school. Just wondering who, if anyone there, was a fan of the BlackMUD world. I played that game for 8(!) years, and it had a small player base, so chances are I probably "know" them in a gamer friend sort of way. Sparkfly Swamp, in particular, reminds me of this: http://tinyurl.com/3axx794 Maybe you could ask around the office sometime! Sorry for posting anonymously but the Wiki won't let me log in today for some reason.
- Interesting question. As with any creative process, a lifetime of experience and exposure colours a contributor's ideas, be they designers, artists, musicians, etc. It would be impossible to "develop in a vacuum," and I don't think it would be a good thing, either. For instance, I love classical music and if I were writing a score for a game -- something for which I hasten to mention I am imminently UNqualified ;) -- I would probably be influenced by Beethoven and Tchaikowsky and Bach and Orff and all sorts of composers without thinking, "Oh hey, here's my Brahms Moment." :) Our development team is made up of gamers, you're right. I'd venture that someone on the team -- maybe several people -- have played just about any game, MUD, RPG, RTS... any game out there, bar none. So I don't know about any direct tribute to that particular game, and the team's really too large for me to ping them individually to ask, but I guess it's possible. Hope that helps answer your question! -- Gaile 23:01, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
NY Comi Com
Hello Gaile, I was planning on attending ComiCon this year in New York, because it is much closer than California (where it was last year). I read on the GW2 Website that Friday October 8th, there will be GW2 demos. Is that the only day there will be GW2 demos? or will they be available all weekend.
thanks --dark chaos 19:45, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi there. I believe that the demos will only be available on the 8th. If you read the news page about it, that seems to be the case, don't you agree? If I find out differently, I will let you know. -- Gaile 08:19, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Back with the info directly from the Community Team. The demo is available only at the Meet and Greet, and first access goes to VIPs. If you don't score a VIP pass, you may still be able to demo, but that's first come/first served. I hope you get to go, and get to demo. Please let me know what you think. :) -- Gaile 22:55, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
Archived
Well, it's been some sorta Sunday. :) I just spent about six hours archiving the Support Issue page as well as this personal talk page. There are a lot of categories of archives, so if you look for something, poke around in the buckets to find it. Likewise, posts for the Support Issues page are archived by the initial post date, so even conversations that started in June may be found in the July-August archives.
Now, this is all so sparkly, with just current or ongoing discussions, I'm quite proud of myself. Sooooo... everyone should hold off on posting on this page so it stays tidy. -- Gaile 23:43, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, and I was just kidding about that "hold off on posting" thing. :) -- Gaile 23:52, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Increased activity of Virus, Worm, and Trojans in the last quarter
This is probably old news to you, but some of the latest reports of malware activity published by symantec, cisco, and threatexpert indicates significant increases in activity of various viruses, worms and trojans designed to steal online game credentials in the last quarter. Specifically the malwares Gammima, Gampass, Gametheif and their associated aliases are back on the rise in terms of propagation and activity. There are currently multiple versions of each of these malwares out on the wild and each versions propagate using various methods.
Gammima is mainly a worm but some versions are also viruses, and propagate via removable flash USB drives and through the local area networks. The virus version also propagates through e-mails and website downloads. On the other hand, Gampass and Gametheifs are both trojans that propagates through e-mails and websites downloads. None of these are "new" malware, and has been known since 2006, but there are many new versions that have come out that specifically target games likes guildwars, and the new versions can evade detection on systems with old anti virus definitions.
Also of note is the recent upsurge in spam and clickjacking in social networking sites including but not limited to myspace, facebook and twitter. This is also another vehicle in which these game credential thieving malware are propagating. Analysts predict increased activity and propagation of these malware in the coming quarter into the holiday season. Again, this is probably old news to you, but I thought you might find it useful :). --Lania 18:38, 04 October 2010 (UTC)
Chaos
Hey, Gaile although I am overjoyed with the HOM info that was released why was it released so early? It's chaotic, white first year mini's are going for 10k? And hero armor has sky rocketed to 19k each? Oh and I'm not american but I enjoy haloween in gw so when's the date for haloween? User:Austin1
- I'm not Gaile, but I think I can help anyway. Halloween has historically run October 29th through November 2nd, so it'll probably be pretty close to that again this year. As for the HoM info, the insanity would have happened whenever they released it. Give it a week or two and things'll settle down, they always do. -Keiyakins 01:06, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
Question about 2010 Halloween Art Contest
Hey Gaile, is Australia included in the art contest? On the website it does'nt specify if they are or are not. User:Austin1
- This question has been asked before, and if I recall correctly, Australia is not eligible due to some legality. You'd be better off asking Regina or Martin, since this is a community matter, rather than a support issue.-- Pyron Sy 22:33, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
- ......great User:Austin1
- Very sorry, but each contest has specific eligibility and this one does not include Australia. As the rules state: "Eligibility (location): Entries will be accepted from legal residents of the United States (excluding the State of Rhode Island, Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, military installations and commonwealths), Canada (excluding Quebec), and Europe." -- Gaile 17:14, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for Attending the Horrorween
- I don't know where you always find the time, but thank you so much for attending our Horrorween event darling. It was splendid having you over. Without you and your green hopping friend, Halloween just wouldn't have been complete. Just letting you know that Miya and myself have arrived safely on our home world. But not to worry, we'll revisit Tyria whenever possible. And I shall certainly be back 250 years from now. Mad Queen Malafide 02:39, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was a nice surprise seeing you there. MithTalk 15:06, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Oh Mal, you know I won't miss your party! :) It was a ton of fun, and I thank you for keeping me up to date on the "dos" that you're holding. Will I see you at Wintersday, or have you and your hubby booked a tropical vacation? (Imagine Mad King Thorn in bathing trunks! :) :) ) Mith, it was nice to see you, too. Take care, both of you, and see you soon! -- Gaile 04:59, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
- I shall certainly be there at Wintersday, darling. I wouldn't want to miss Grenth's frosty season for the world. I'm not sure what my husband Thorn is up to lately, but it is probably something diabolical and it probably doesn't involve me. Lets pray to the Gods that he doesn't end up destroying the world... well atleast not until after Wintersday. And maybe my snowman companion will drop in as well. Hope to see you there and Grenth's blessings upon you. Have a lovely Wintersday and a creepy newyear! Mad Queen Malafide 20:29, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Quick Question
Who does the voices for female and male npcs in Ascalan and Lions Arch? Trying to get this all out of the way for this ta da -- Wings of Blood 05:35, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- The NPCs have been added over time. I would imagine that we don't have a comprehensive list of voice actors. There are some listed on this wiki, and I've done a Google search to find a fan put up a very detailed list of voice actors for Guild Wars. I think if you poke around, the info is "out there." -- Gaile 04:57, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
Friendly Contact!
Hi Gaile! As a guild wars player for 4 years, I have noticed my lack of communication with...anyone!I've never been one of those people chilling with a large group of people in some outpost just chatting it up, and my largest community has been the Holy guild, which I left due to them being waaaaaaaaaay too strict (I got kicked for saying that I preferred a custom build to Discord's Way builds, and apparently "antagonizing")and now my own guild have started being complete JERKS.(We had a conversation about furniture.I'm a chair lover now.We were doing Underworld, and after hearing "I'm going to trap here, Dragon (me) go pull those Aatxes" and doing as told, they yelled at me.Also, I'm a leecher according to them because I got 1 ecto in 3 runs)So, moral of the story, I need someone to be a friend. Now, I've seen you being pretty awesome before, and I have to ask this---Would you be my friend? My primary character is Dragon The Ninja, so if yes, please talk to me! Thank you, and in regards, Ryuk Silverblade.
- Hi Ryuk. I'm sorry you've had difficulties -- maybe it would just take another conversation to smooth things over and become comfortable with the guild again? (Just wondering, anyway.) I'd be happy for you to add me to your Friends List if you want to do so. I sometimes go into the game to do research on an issue of one kind or another, so if I don't respond to a message that you send me if you happen to see me online, please don't take it personally. Silence just means I'm super busy. I'm in the game pretty often. I play on various other accounts, but if you see "Gaile Gray" online, send a greeting. Hope to see you around sometime. -- Gaile 01:31, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Your Favorite Holiday?
Gaile, I was just wondering...What's your favorite Holiday? Both Guild Wars and in real life. Thanks! --Malchior Devenholm 05:31, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- I bet she all of them are her favorites. :P InfestedHydralisk 05:04, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- It's a tough call for me. I love Christmas, and I decorate nearly ever corner of my house. (Yes, even the bathroom! :) ) I have about, oh 15 huge boxes of decorations for inside and outside the h ouse. But I am very, very fond of Halloween and I'm the only person I know who has 8 huge cartons of decorations for that holiday. I like Easter and St. Patrick's Day a bunch, as well. Since my family is (partly) Welsh, I only wish St. David's Day got the attention that Green Guy from Ireland got but I've a bit of Irish blood, so it's cool. :D
- If I had to pick, I would say Halloween is my favourite Guild Wars holiday, and Christmas is my favourite real-life holiday. But it's close, and I could easily switch that all around. :) Which do you like best, in the game and in real life? -- Gaile
