AoE[edit]

Please note that for skills, such as Signet of Creation, that don't affect targets within an area of effect but "check" for certain targets within an AoE are manually placed in the skill table at Earshot#Skills with effects that trigger if certain targets are within earshot. So those skills shouldn't use the aoe parameter in {{Skill infobox}}, which would automatically place them in the Skills with earshot area of effect table. --Silver Edge 02:30, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

I think "checking" is an area of effect of a sort, but ok. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 09:58, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

I can't recall since when you'd been away, but it's Raine and Greener who both had successful RfAs. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 14:11, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

"Morale boost" in skill infobox[edit]

Hello! I noticed a problem with output of the information about skill recharge when it's due to morale boost in this table Celestial skill, and attempted to found out the roots of this problem. You carried out some experiments with visualisation of morale boost with an icon Morale Boost Morale Boost approximately on 19-20 February, but later you gave up this change by some reasons which you should know better. However, some traces of those changes still have place. In particular, the Template:Skill_infobox/Documentation still contains the values "m", "morale" or "morale boost" as posible options for the parameter "recharge", which isn't supported with current code in Template:Skill_infobox. Also, skills in the Category:Morale boost recharging skills still have the parameter "recharge = morale boost" which is shown as unformatted text in the infobox. I suppose that it would be correct to ask you as the inventor of the mentioned changes for fixing these inconsistencies in some way. --Slavic 05:10, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

First of all, i didn't have the idea of using the morale boost image in the first place. I just tried to expand it by adding the categorization (which came from the same user, who i can't recall now).
I didn't change anything how the "recharge" parameter works. I tried to change the parameter so when the value is either m, morale or morale boost, it would result as: Morale BoostRecharge time
But i didn't find a way to implement it propelly :( - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 16:34, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Well, I see that your intentions were good, but implementation wasn't. I would suggest to try it again, but slightly in other way. First, need to make a "sandboxed" copy of the template Skill_infobox somewhere in your space (I think that usage the common Wiki sandbox for this test isn't a good idea). No need to copy all the page, only the main code should be enough. For experiments, also need to use 1 skill with morale boost - you can make a copy of such skill to another sandbox or temporary use one of skills as "guinea pig", like you wish. Then it will be possible to test the modified code without interference with current template. If you decide to do this, please leave the comments about changes near the code, I will look after it too, maybe will be able to help somehow, at least as beta tester :) --Slavic 19:02, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Believe me i did that. It's about my inexperience in coding :D - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 20:46, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

wut[edit]

it was a table for this. You can delete that now. You can also delete this: File:User Previously Unsigned IE table idea.png. And what the heck is the code for SPEEDY deletion. It should not be this hard to find. I looked wikipedia and several sites, even {{delete}} is buried. Not a good thing. Previously Unsigned 12:24, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

I'm not a sysops, so i can't dlete anything.
And what you're looking for is {{delete|reason|speedy}} - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 18:10, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Tag (you're not it)[edit]

Thanks for removing the {{icon}} tag from my user space images; after the first few the other day, I went through the images but didn't see evidence of the tag. Obviously, I should have looked more carefully on the remaining ones.

To prevent this from happening again (to someone else), I updated the usage notes for the template. (I suppose a better name for the template would be {{in-game images redirect}}, since icon by itself is somewhat ambiguous.) If you have a chance, perhaps you could take a look and make sure the new text leaves the correct impression.

Thanks again for cleaning up my detritus. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 15:54, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
