Any notes on what the new requirements are?--TahiriVeila 01:32, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- It's possible they're keeping it ambiguous deliberately in order to waylay exploitation of the new system. Lyra Valo 02:29, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
5 minutes[edit]
Till they drop, won't drop if GL dies before 5. Very BS. --Silven 05:15, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- ~Agreed. Now Teams very skilled and powerful on splits who are going for the Guild lord and really want strong boxes now have to WAIT. Bloody BS. Make it so that It only Drops if certain Win Conditions are met. *Need Sigiture* 01:33, June
- Why cause you can't cheat anymore? --Musha 05:35, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Or rig dummy guild teams to intentionally lose quickly? How bad a matchup must the teams be such that one will get steamrolled under 5min? They must not even be resisting. -Wrei110.175.241.56 05:39, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Matchups are bad because gw is a dead game. Now we've resorted to wiping their team and blocking their res until 5mins, apparently that's more interesting gameplay --Silven 06:13, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- But, it's PvP. And Arenanet loves it's PvP. ~~000.00.00.00~~ 12:22, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- The problem is 5 mins is the lowest they can realistically put it. Anything lower and people start match manipulating, and there is no real alternative way of determining if it drops (kills? one team just sits there and wipes) ~ PheNaxKian talk 13:12, 11 June 2011 (UTC)

- Bandaid fix is bandaid. Should've just checked total skill use or total damage dealt to make sure that both teams were actually playing. — Raine Valen 16:00, 11 Jun 2011 (UTC)
- again, easy to manipulate, everyone takes one spamable skill (some sort of short recharge stance or non targeting (or ally targeting) skill), and spams until the threshold is met. ~ PheNaxKian talk 23:35, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- That, and degen teams are screwed, since it's technically not damage. You sir, Fail. 82.176.8.4 08:03, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
- "Degen teams exist."

- They should just realize people are greedy and remove strongboxes from gvg. elix Omni 08:11, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
- They know people are greedy, that's why they put strongboxes into GvG! -- Hong 09:17, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
- They know people are greedy, which is why they should revert this change and let them continue to farm the strongboxes for the same reason they let people farm things with shadowform assassins. 64.35.202.151 01:28, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
- Nothing in Guild Wars takes skill to achieve anymore, so Anet has compromised by offering rewards in exchange for time commitment. Speedclearing is mindless drudgery but it takes 10-15 minutes, 30 with a pug. GvG resigning takes until the timer hits 0:00. elix Omni 07:43, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
