Feedback talk:Game updates/20130516
So much for eventually seeing the skills rebalances that we were told were already in progress... Oh well, I'll keep playing GW1 periodically. I still have a lot of content good to play. (A lot of not-very-fun content, too. Like most of GWEN...) But the skills rebalances like they did for Dervish and Elementalist were needed. ---17:39, 17 May 2013 (UTC) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 136.142.214.19 (talk).
- I think they ended well for the most part. I didn't think the Elementalist rebalance was really needed (whereas the Dervish's was) but I still would have liked a lot of things addressed: Paragons, perhaps. I haven't played in quite a while now, but maybe the week-long bonuses will be incentive to max a few titles [again]. It is a little disappointing that my excited visits to GWW to see the update link become blue were, and now will be, in vain. It's still a good game, unlike its successor (opinions ahoy!), so I can be thankful for it's availability, still.--66.41.90.94 19:29, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
FA and JQ weekly bonuses[edit]
Hopefully Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry will each have their own separate weekly bonuses, instead of a shared "competitive mission weekly bonus" like it was when there were weekend events. It wouldn't make sense for these two PvP formats to share a weekly bonus, since they aren't connected (unlike Random Arenas and Team Arenas that use to share a weekend event, but also shared a title and RA teams would encounter TA opponents after winning 10 consecutive in RA) and it would split the players that would like to take advantage of the weekly bonuses between three different areas (FA, JQ, and the PvE weekly bonus). Also, if it was a problem of too many weekend events and not enough weekends in a year, the weekly bonuses have a PvE and PvP bonus happening at the same time (instead of a PvE or PvP bonus happening at one time), so that shouldn't be a problem. --108.162.180.242 21:03, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Seriously? You now have weekly PvP bonuses and you cannot give FA and JQ their own events? --108.162.180.242 20:16, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
Weekly bonuses bug[edit]
The login screen announcements and Foreman the Crier state that it is currently Random Arenas bonus week, but Balthazar faction isn't doubled (still says I'm getting 50 Balthazar faction for a victory and 50 for flawless in the chat window). I'm not certain about Gladiator points since I wasn't paying attention to it. --Silver Edge 22:54, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- We just looked into this and you are correct, the RA weekly bonus is 50% broken: the title points are being doubled but the Balthazar faction isn't. Because many of the devs are headed out for the weekend, we're going to let this run its course until the PvP bonus changes on Monday. In a bug fix build in the coming weeks, we'll correct this so the RA bonus works properly the next time it comes up in the rotation.
- Thank you for the report, but be aware that we're not always watching the wiki comment pages. In the future, it would be best to make bug reports on the official support forums: http://forum.guildwars.com ~ Matthew Moore (talk) 00:23, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- I suspect a bug in the key drops also. 4 times the rate is still not extremely high, however I've yet to see a single key/lockpick drop...and I've been vanquishing nost every zone to get to every chest, as I am seeking to capitalize on the luck bonus. I realize that drop rate is completely random and that the odds are far from any sort of guarantee...however, as with previous key drop weekends, I am personally seeing less keys than is normal, and an abnormally high rate of bosses dropping unique items. Not that I'm complaining about getting the greens (I generally go the entire weekend of double greens without seeing any...less than the typical one per day I normally see) however with the extra loot from locked chests and these extra greens, it becomes difficult to cart drops...especially while vanquishing large zones when no merchant is present. I have always assumed that the green drop and key drop weekends were for whatever reason, reversed (at least for me), and while ArenaNet is taking a "last look", perhaps this can be investigated. - -update: I have had one lockpick drop over the course of the "event"...although it dropped right about the time I was having my Monday morning coffee (around 05:00 EDT...when the event changes) Gwynna Vive (talk) 23:01, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
