Future Update Order
I don't really care when, but is this the order/combination they announced for future updates? 1. Dervish 2. Embark + Hero Update 3. Winds of Change. And did Anet anounce that they had other class reworks in mind (like paragon), or did they just announce dervish?152.14.218.16 02:08, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Don't play anymore but still check updates
Sign if you have months/over a year without playing Guild Wars but still check the wiki anyways, to see if a skill update will make it worth playing again. 201.174.194.88 19:33, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Massive Lagg?
I and many others I have partied with today have been receiving large red pings, average of about 2000ms. Is there some kind of server problem at the moment? (Also wiki is responding more slowly than usual..)--File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 16:45, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- I wouldn't qualify 2K as extraordinary. I haven't seen any increase tho. 82.95.65.117 16:32, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- I would urge anyone experiencing (what they perceive as) widepread and/or extreme lag to file reports with ANet with the time/place details. (This can be done via email.)
- There's little that ANet can do with anecdotal evidence from a single person.
- The powers-that-be at ANet are much more likely to spend more time/money tracing issues if have evidence demonstrating the issues and that can be used to help troubleshoot.
- There are oodles of potential points-of-failure that can cause lag that have nothing to do with your connection or ANet's servers.
- The powers-that-be at various internet infrastructure companies are similarly disinclined to act unless ANet can show them evidence that the problem is at their end.

- There was a problem a while back with our cable internet connection and it turned out that one of the cable nodes near our house was failing and causing the massive lag. Before anyone reports anything, you can try using tools like the Pingtest and speedtest to various servers to see if the problem is your connection or some other connection between you and Anet. Other times, it turns out that entire regions of the net gets slow for unknown reasons and Anet can't do anything about it. I think most of the time people attribute it to sudden increase in net activity or something that disrupts connections like solar flares. --Lania 17:37, 03 March 2011 (UTC)
- /Agree with Lania. Worse, some of the internet infrastructure wasn't designed to handle the current capacity (constant streaming, MMOs, etc.); the pipes of the internet are (in some areas) in more dire need of upgrading than the sewage systems of urban North America. Each, in their own way, is going to cause a stink before the relevant governments and service providers start spending enough money to alleviate the underlying conditions. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:20, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- Had a (personal) record of over 280k ping last week. Today was fine though. Waar Kijk Je Naar 18:25, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

- My personal record is a firm 640K, but internet was just gone at that point. Only have proof of up to 360K, though. Harrier C. Goodman talk 20:54, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- 800k :| It was a bad night, at a peak hour of a festival, during a Halls match. My internet literally did a dance trying to figure out what the hell was going on. - Adark 22:58, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

Update 1st June
Hey ! Anet is back :) http://www.guildwars.com/support/gameupdates/default.php Joeyw 20:47, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'm wondering which name this page should take, because on the GW site, is says June 1st. ~Farlo Talk 21:30, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- The date on GW.com is an error. We're correcting it right now. I'd recommend keeping the June 2nd update and adding a GWWiki note saying "This was originally posted with the wrong date."~ 66.162.136.17 21:33, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- (Apologies. The above comment was me, I'm just having trouble with staying logged in right now.) ~ Matthew Moore 21:34, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Update 9/6
What is it? I had to download files today, so it's been up today or yesterday late, anyone know?--Mark, het Beest 14:46, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
- Nope, nothing listed, I made the page expecting it to be updated on guildwars.com but nothing. Pretty strange, I hate when they do "mysterious" updates like that. Go Go .dat scanning!! Devi Talk 14:47, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
- ANet performed some sort of emergency maintenance starting at midnight PDT (0700 UTC); players were kicked (without warning) from the game for an hour. The main website gives the impression that this work was scheduled it advance, but I'm 90% certain the announcement wasn't there until just before (or perhaps just after) the work began. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:26, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'm pretty convinced that there was a zaishen coin duping hack.. I hope there wasn't :(( --Eclipse143 16:50, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Update 10/6?
I had a small update when I logged on today, after doing an -image yesterday. Very small - but still there. 78.149.10.243 19:49, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- There were two updates yesterday. It appears you got the first one (which took place at 1 am Pacific time), but not the second (which I believe was mid-afternoon Pacific time). — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:57, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hm... I assumed I'd caught the second update yesterday, but you could well be right. In the absence of any other evidence, it probably was just the second update :) 78.149.10.243 20:03, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
Xunlai Chests in HzH
When did the chests in HzH get moved.. They used to be right in the top right corner. Now one is still there, but moved slightly, and the other has moved 1/2 way to the door. Don't see this mentioned anywhere. 86.17.72.80 10:27, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
