Weekly bonuses

PvE

Elonian Support

"Adventuring in the Land of the Golden Sun is twice as fun or at least twice as rewarding. You'll earn double Sunspear and Lightbringer title points while this bonus is active, for almost everything except completed books. Marshal your resources and join in the defense of Elona!"

Extra Luck

"It's your lucky day! Well, technically, it's a full week and it's lucky for all of us...and unlucky too. To be clear, while the bonus is active, you receive double Lucky and Unlucky title points. Also, lockpicks drop at four times their normal rate!"

Faction Support

"There's no better time to prove your loyalty to the Luxon or Kurzick cause! Exchanging faction with a Kurzick Bureaucrat or Luxon Scavenger will give you double points on the respective title. Personally, I don't take sides, but I do envy the bureaucrats' hats..."

Factions Elite

"While this bonus is active, heroes may travel to The Deep and Urgoz's Warren for free! Why one would want to travel either place is beyond me, but if you're a brave soul looking to challenge Kanaxai or Urgoz, head to Kaineng Center and speak with Vash or Eurayle."

Northern Support

"To the tall and the small, your assistance is twice as important right now. You'll receive double reputation points while helping the Norn, Deldrimor, Ebon Vanguard, and Asura with almost everything except completed books. Take a warm coat!"

Pantheon

Before the September 26, 2013 update:

"While this bonus is active, so are all the statues of the gods. Not only can you receive blessings, you can also gain free access to the Underworld and Fissure of Woe! Fancy a day trip to the land of the dead?"

After the September 26, 2013 update:

"While this bonus is active, access to the Underworld and Fissure of Woe is free! Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if that's really a blessing. Fancy a day trip to the land of the dead?"

Zaishen Bounty

"Fancy yourself a bounty hunter? While this bonus is active, you'll get double copper Zaishen coins for completing Zaishen Bounty quests. Check the signpost in Embark Beach to see which villain is being sought for justice. You can check back each day for a new quest and another chance to double your coins!"

Zaishen Mission

"While this bonus is active, you'll get double copper Zaishen coins for completing Zaishen Mission quests. Check the signpost in Embark Beach to see where the Zaishen are sending heroes this week. And be sure to check back each day for a new quest and another chance to double your coins!"

Zaishen Vanquishing

"While the bonus is active, you will receive double copper Zaishen coins for completing Zaishen Vanquish quests. Strap on your foe-stomping boots and check the signpost in Embark Beach to see what's on offer today. Don't forget to check back each day for a new quest and another chance to double your coins!"

PvP

Alliance Battle

"While the bonus is active, all those who fight in the Luxon and Kurzick alliance battles [sic] receive double Imperial faction for their efforts. [sic] To participate, talk to the Kurzick Kommandant or Luxon Navigator in your guild hall. I won't take sides, but I will wish you good luck!"

Codex Arena

"How well do you know your skills? While this bonus is active, you'll earn double Balthazar faction and Honor points for fighting according to the Codex! Gather your team and head to the Codex Arena outpost in the Battle Isles."

Competitive Mission

"Those who fight in Fort Aspenwood and the Jade Quarry, no matter which side, earn double Balthazar and Imperial faction while this bonus is active! Head to the respective outposts to get started. I'd give you some of my jade, but I'm carving little turtles."

Guild versus Guild

"Until the bonus ends, those who participate in GvG battles receive double Balthazar faction and Champion title points. To learn more about guilds, you'll want to speak with a guild registrar. I know I've seen them in the Great Temple of Balthazar, Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Monastery, and Kamadan."

Heroes' Ascent

"As long as this bonus is running, combatants in Heroes' Ascent get double Balthazar faction and Fame points, good toward the Hero title if I remember correctly. Those who win a battle in the Hall of Heroes also get double loot from the final chest! Form a team and head to the Heroes' Ascent outpost in the Battle Isles to get your share."

Random Arenas

"The match-ups may be unpredictable but the bonus is consistent: you'll earn double Balthazar faction and Gladiator title points while fighting in Random Arenas while this bonus is running. Head to the Random Arenas outpost in the Battle Isles and be ready for anything!"

Special events

Canthan New Year

"The people of Cantha invite us all to celebrate the coming of the new year and the blessings of the celestial animals. [sic] Kamadan and Lion's Arch are both decorated for the occasion, but the real party is at the Shing Jea Monastery! Festive quests, Dragon Arena, and Rollerbeetle Racing; there's fun everywhere you look."

Lucky Treats Week

"I'm not sure if I believe the Scribe's stories about little orange-haired men, but I can verify that four-leaf clovers and shamrock ale mysteriously appear all throughout the week. Is it luck, magic, or just a side-effect of the season? Go fight some foes and study the effect for yourself."

2014:

"It's the anniversary of all creation! Send up the fireworks! Major towns are decorated and the Shing Jea Boardwalk is open. Plus, you can head out for adventure and find drops of all kinds: sweets, drinks, and party supplies galore. Oh, and birthday cupcakes! You have got to try one of those. If you don't find any out in the world, Elite Xunlai Agent Isa Ku has some. Sprinkles!"

the Dragon Festival

"It is a testament to the perseverance of the Canthan people, from their settlement on Shing Jea Island to the triumphs of the modern era. To really get in the spirit, head to Shing Jea Monastery and join in the historical reenactments. Though Dragon Arena and Rollerbeetle Racing are also open if you just want to skip to the games."

Wintersday in July

"The snowball arenas are open and magically still frozen despite the heat of the Season of the Phoenix. Start collecting those candy cane shards and watch out for flying snow!"

the Wayfarer's Reverie

"The Wayfarer's Reverie is a time when adventurers all across Tyria pause to reflect on the travels behind them and the road ahead. Find the festival coordinators in Lion's Arch, Kamadan, Kaineng Center, and the Eye of the North; they'll set you up with quests that circle the three known continents. Also, most of the weekly bonuses will be active, so it's a great time to be adventuring."

Pirate Week

"Yo ho ho, hoist the anchor and we'll sail in search of grog and a worthy pirate tale! Those you meet, from the mountains to the beach, will greet your wave with some salty pirate speech!"

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

"Throughout the month, heroes wear pink to promote breast cancer awareness. Vials drop throughout the world, but you can also buy some from Sadie Salvitas in Lion's Arch."

Halloween

"There is hardly enough time to tell you about all the wonderful things about Halloween. Decorations cover Lion's Arch, Kamadan, Droknar's Forge, and the Tomb of the Primeval Kings. You can participate in the Costume Brawl by talking to Bobby in many of those same places. There are tonics and cookies and trick-or-treat bags and candy corn. The Mad King visits! But perhaps most importantly, this is the festival during which you can get a sweet hat like mine."

Special Treats Week

"The Fraternal Order of Bakers and Brewers have been hard at work turning the seasonal harvest into wonderful treats. While you're adventuring, keep your eyes peeled for hard apple cider [sic] and slices of pumpkin pie. The pie in particular will leave you ecstatic!"

Wintersday

"Whether you like the cold or are praying for the thaw, Wintersday has something for you. Join the forces of Dwayna or Grenth for holiday quests in Lion's Arch and Kamadan. Talk to a Wintersday Priest to join the snowball fight. Stock up on seasonal treats and save your candy cane shards to get some stylish headgear!"
