Guild Wars Wiki talk:Elections/2009-12 bureaucrat election/42
Um[edit]
This user does not understand policy and thinks that he does not need consensus to make changes he thinks are needed. Not to mention he was recently banned for disruption. Drogo Boffin 18:54, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
...[edit]
I thought we were done nominating candidates as a joke after Lena's nomination. --*Yasmin Parvaneh* 18:55, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yours was kinda funny too. Drogo Boffin 18:59, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah...good times. Does Shard still have the records of most opposing votes or did Lena beat him?--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 19:01, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Not sure but its not hard to look up. Drogo Boffin 19:02, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Meh...I have eviction warnings to serve, I should probably do those instead. And, in my defense, I took my nomination seriously. Just because I married a troll didn't make me one...I'm a princess.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 19:04, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah but I had other concerns. I dont really have anything against your husband anymore or Shard. I finally got to get an impression of them off of the wiki. Drogo Boffin 19:11, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Record is 39 opposing votes btw: Cursed Angel. — Jon Lupen 19:14, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Who holds the record? Drogo Boffin 19:16, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Already linked and said, but to be clear... — Jon Lupen 19:18, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- You've talked to Adrin outside the wiki I thought...like on msn I thought. Oh, and Jon, you're never on msn anymore.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 19:23, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I dont know if Ive talked to him on msn. @Jon yeah I completely missed that. Add me to the list of users who cant read today. Drogo Boffin 19:25, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- @Yasmin: There's a (not-so) legit reason for that. I forgot to reinstall it when I wiped my computer for a Windows 7 install. :P I'll be sure to have that taken care of when I make it back home.
- @Drogo: I'll be sure to do that, I've already added myself to that list.
- Shard and Adrin are reasonable people, but the do have a slightly abrasive edge, something the internet magnifies, focuses and exacerbates something fierce. — Jon Lupen 19:30, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- I think they scared Reckoning when he came on vent one night to play with me...they get loud when they play GTA.--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 19:33, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't actually break the old record. People think I would make a better BCrat than Eloc. ~Shard 19:36, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Its not just that Jon the only way I could get an idea of who they were was to read their posts on the wiki. We all know they made it ease to not like them. Drogo Boffin 19:38, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- A fair point. If I had to judge people based purely off internet interactions, I wouldn't have any friends. Also this. — Jon Lupen 19:42, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- I'm likable though, right?--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 23:38, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- Neigh. Vili 点 01:27, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well...
- maybe...
- >.>
- <.<
- RUN!
- Jokes aside, I'd say so. — Jon Lupen 01:32, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- Possibly as long as there is no Duran Duran playing or being hummed/sung. Drogo Boffin 02:09, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- Not even "Hungry Like the Wolf"? Though I tend to favor their more obscure songs like "Secret Oktober"--*Yasmin Parvaneh* 06:52, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

So...[edit]
When can we start throwing in our opposing votes? ~Shard 02:10, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sunday. — Jon Lupen 02:12, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- How about after the candidate declines, so people don't look like jerks? elix Omni 02:12, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Questions[edit]
Please answer these to the best of your ability and honestly.
- Why do you want to be a Bureaucrat and what qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a good Bureaucrat?
- What is your opinion on strictly literal interpretations of policy vs. "spirit of the policy" interpretations?
- How might your decisions in previous ArbComm decisions have differed from those given by the Bureaucrats?
- How would you define the Bureaucrat's role on GWW?
- What is your stance on trolling/disruption/incivility/harmfulness? How is that stance justified given the current status of those issues within our system and culture?
- What do you think the proper role of ArbComm is?
- How might you use the Bureaucrat position differently than other Bureaucrats have?
- In what way(s) would your decisions in arbitration be affected by the weight of a user's general history of valued contributions (or lack of such)? Would user valuable-ness reliably translate into some extra degree of leniency from you?
- On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest), what would you say your actual understanding of our guidelines/policies?
- Why should we vote for you having recently been banned for disruption? Drogo Boffin 02:29, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
Accepting the nomination[edit]
Do we assume when a candidate hasn't replied to a nomination, it counts as an accepted one? - J.P.Talk 09:53, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
- No. That being said, nominations do not need to be accepted before voting starts. Sometimes people have left it undecided until after they have won/lost. Vili 点 09:56, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
