One question: I heard something about GW2W not synchronizing the usermerge until I make an edit? I've noticed the usermerge hasn't had an effect there yet, but I'm reluctant to try and set it right before I get a confirmation I don't break things. — Why 20:07, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

No, that was only about preferences; but it seems that it was always like that (that preferences only sync after making an edit). But in general merging an account here has no effect on GW2W. poke | talk 21:24, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

What's the limit on number of accounts?

No real limit, although it's likely the bcrats will oppose to merge multiple 3 posts socks.. So if you want to have some socks merged, focus on the most prominent contributions that really make sense to be moved to your main account. poke | talk 19:02, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Archiving

Can we archive some time after the issue is resolved (i.e. the merge is done/refused)? A comment saying what the result was is more useful than archiving straightaway. -- pling 19:50, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Meh, ok. I don't see these as super important, especially as the old account had been abandoned for over a month, but I can do that. I only really thought to check it because it could be relevant with the upcoming election. Misery 20:15, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Ignored Merge Request

Hi all, just wondering how I could get someone to look at my merge request - it seems to have been skipped. If there's anything I can do to help speed up the process, I'd be glad to help. Thanks.

Not skipped for forgotten, I just seem to be the only bureaucrat checking this at the moment and I am very hesitant to merge when both accounts cannot be logged in to, for licensing reasons. Gares was a little more gung ho, but I'll ask a few questions and get back to you. For now just keep using your new account. If the contributions get merged over they will slip nicely into the start of your contribution list, so it doesn't matter if it is delayed. It is not going to affect your eligibility to vote in the current bureaucrat election, so it makes sense to take the time to ensure all our ducks are in a row. Misery 09:00, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
