Diessa Chalices
In the Cathedral of Flames dungeon, i can never seem to get any Diessa Chalice drops from any creatures, i have gone through the entire dungeon, killed hundreds of creatures, yet nothing. Why is this? Im trying to get the blindfold, but those Diessa Chalice's are impossible to get.
- The item has proven to just be really, really rare. Check the article's talk page... people have been listing drops and discussing the rate there. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 12:20, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

how to register guildwars eye of the north
- Register? You'll have to be more specific then that, I'm afraid; did you buy Eye of the North, and need to add the game to your account? How did you buy it (bought it from a store, or bought it from the in-game store)? -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 12:20, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
nightfall
i have only just started guild wars factions i have all 3 games so how do i get to nightfall and after that how can i get aincient armour
- You need to get your character to Nightfall and go through the storyline. Until you get to Bone Palace. Drago 20:54, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Take a look at Elona#Getting There. Then you need to follow the story, as Drago said. The Bone Palace is quite a way in (more than half way). Biscuits 08:19, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm a monk in nightfall and need to know how i can get the assassin or ritualist as a second profession and Ive got factions
- first of all, see the FAQ on how you can get to cantha. once you're there, follow the storyline until you reach Senji's Corner. there you can talk to Senji to acquire those two professions. - Y0_ich_halt 10:15, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Deldrimor Armor
Why is this armor set not able to be displayed. myself and many others find this armor to be the best choice of the GWEN armors as it is the most visually appealing. Is there some chancew that you might make the armor a complete set and therefore be able to be displayed?--75.191.147.126 05:59, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- There is no such set, it's just what the community calls induvidual pieces from a certain crafter. Thus you can't dispaly them, just as other induvidual pieces can't be dispalyed. Backsword 08:28, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Character Apperance
Is there any way to change your characters basic apperance after creation? Such as hairstyle or hair color? If so, how would i go about doing that? and if not, why not? :)--75.191.147.126 06:01, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- Armour can be changed, but not the face. Presumably due to coding, as a hairdresser is a much requested feature. Backsword 08:28, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Eye of the North
I have the game eye of the north and dont know how to get there..I started in ascalon and have been to lions arch, the desert and southern shiverpeaks, but cant seem to get o th eye of the north missions!! My character is lvl 20, so can you please tell me what i am doing wrong??
Your help would be greatly appreciated
- there's two ways: a)see the FAQ or b)go to lion's arch and follow the instructions. and afaik you need to complete one campaign first. - Y0_ich_halt 16:58, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- You don't need to beat the campaign, I don't think. I've gotten to EotN with all of my characters, and only one of them has beaten a game; I also go there via Lion's Arch, and none of my characters have beaten Prophecies. You simply need to take the quest in LA (as listed in the FAQ, as Y0 ich halt mentioned. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:07, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Graphics Card For the Dell Dimension 3000--75.48.18.197 23:40, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
I recently uninstalled Guild Wars from my computer. Before I had uninstalled it, it had been working fine. But since I reinstalled it I cant play because it says I dont have the right graphics card. Can anyone give me a link to a site where i can download an upgrade or something like that?
Thanks
- You can't update your graphics card. Go to the Gw.exe file, right-click, go to Properties, then on the Target line, past the quotes, type in -image or -noshaders. Those commands, iirc, reduce the graphics quality of Guild Wars, so you can play and toggle the graphics levels to reduce the workload on your graphics card and PC overall. Calor - talk 00:37, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- You might want to try installing the recent driver software for your grafics card. Look up the manufacturer and download it from their website (I'd assume it is either ATI or NVidia). Then you should check if DirectX is installed properly. You do this by using "run" in the start menu. Type dxdiag in the field and hit ok. In the first tab under the system information, check the last line. If it does not say DirectX Version 9 (or higher), reinstall Direct X from the Guildwars CD, or download it from Microsoft. On a side note, -image forces your GW client to download all content so you don't have to wait for the steaming. I does not have anything to do with grafics settings. Help
We recently bought Guild Wars Gameof the year and don't have a clue how to begin. Can we start the game with a party of three? Or form a group? We want to play the game together. Thanks!
- I'm assuming it's you and friends that all bought the game? In which case, you can all party up in any town that you all have access to. Since you all have Prophecies, you'll all be in Pre-Searing Ascalon at the start of the game; add each other's character names to your respective friends lists, and go into the same town all at the same time. You can invite each other to your party once you meet up, and from there, go questing/hunting/whatever, together. :D -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:21, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- You will each need to own your own copy. If you only bought one copy of the game only one of you will be able to play at a time, but you will be able to party with other people. If you all have a copy then the above comment is more helpful. Dancing Gnome 05:47, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

- That seems really odd (and impossible to prove). If I only have one computer in my house and my wife wants to do something during the day while I'm at work (yes in this example I'm a chauvinist with a house wife) and she wants to play Guild Wars? What if we only have one computer and both want to play the game? Why can't she play when I'm not playing? That seems like a really odd rule considering you can't log into the same account twice. Dancing Gnome 06:01, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well, if you only have 1 computer, then you just don't play at the same time. You each could have your own sepearate accounts. But ya, think about it in a different perspective. 4 friends get together and create a character. They all take turns playing the character and can play pretty much nonstop overall. Then it's an unfair advantage if this one player can just be playing all the time.--§ Eloc § 06:14, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Delete Account
How do u delete your account, I never Had to delete any my stuff so i don't know
- You can't delete your account as far as I know, you can simply abandon it if you don't want it any longer. Unless you're talking about deleting a single character? In which case, you click the "Delete character" button on the Character Select screen, and type in the character's name to confirm. Deleting a character is irreversible, though, so make sure you're absolutely sure you want to do it, and double-check any items on the character before you lose them. You can place items into the Xunlai Box [Storage] for another character to pick up later, if you plan to delete the character. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:32, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Hero AI refuses to use Skill
My heroes refuse to use Signet of Devotion unless specifically told to do so. Is there any way to fix this? Does Anet know about this? Is Anet going to bother addressing this? Are there any other buggy skills that I should be made aware of? ~Giada

- it happened to me when i got nightfall if hes on Avoid combat put him on Guard or Fight.t priestess donut +13:05, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- There's a small list of skills that Hero AI won't use, or won't use correctly. As far as I know, ANet doesn't have any plans to rework the AI to handle these, so you'll just have to work around them for now; what I do, personally, is take my Heros out into Isle of the Nameless, open their skills bar, then get into a fight and see what skills they use. You can fiddle with the different battle styles too (Attack, Guard, Avoid), and see if anything helps... -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 16:44, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
- How does he refuse to use the skill? I have on it his bar and he refuses to use it under any situation. He could have zero energy and the guy just acts like there isn't a heal signet in slot 2. The only way I can get him to use it is by manually clicking his bar. And this doesn't seem to be a problem with any other skill besides Signet of Devotion. I have tried Signet of Rejuvenation and Signet of Synergy on him and those work just fine. Thanks for the help Jioruji! It's a shame... I get the impression Anet seems to have abandoned GW for GW2. You're probably right, this wont be addressed and I just need to work around it. ~Giada
- It seems that the AI only uses Signet of Devotion when it is nearly out of energy, thus as a backup heal. - HeWhoIsPale 16:48, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

- I'm not getting into a discussion on Human vs AI party members. I'm not suggesting the AI should be changed or improved. I understand that Heroes are too stupid to Arcane Echo/Spiteful Spirit or Splinter Weapon/Barrage. I know their limitations. But they should at least use the skills that you put on their bar. I'm not complaining about HOW he's using Signet of Devotion. I'm asking WHY he isn't using it at all. ~Giada
- From what HeWhoIsPale said, and from what I've seen myself, I would say the AI is simply programmed to save some Signets for when they're running low on energy. Signet of Devotion is in that category, it seems. Just about every skill has an AI trigger for it (condition removal if someone has a condition, "Charge!" if the party is moving, and so on). I would expect Signet of Devotion to trigger if a foe is low on health, but the signet status might mean the hero doesn't use it unless it has to. Does it make a difference if the Signet is the only skill on the Hero's bar? Maybe that makes a difference. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:15, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

- Just did some testing, slightly surprising results. Signet of Devotion; the Hero will only use this if there are no better choices. I brought two Monks; one with the Signet, the other, the Signet and Orison of Healing. The first hero used the Signet whenever possible, while the second Hero ignored it and used Orison of Healing instead. Even if every other skill on the bar is disabled, they still think they have a better option available, and don't use the Signet. Hero even prefered to use Protection Prayers spells simply for the Divine Favor bonus, rather then use the Signet. Long story short; don't give Heros Signet of Devotion. :P -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:30, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- That's actually something that I've wanted a fix for for a long time. I'm talking about the fact that heroes think that disabled skills are usable and will therefor not use 'inferior' choices or any skills at all. -- (gem / talk) 03:08, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking into it Jioruji. As I've said before, Ive used other healing signets and they all seem to work just fine. I guess there is some kind of conditional sequence that needs to happen for the Hero to select certain skills. I really didn't want to make a big deal about it, I just want my Heroes to function properly. Thank you all for responding. ~Giada

- The account and client are two separate things; you can completely erase the client software, and your account will still be there if you reinstall and log in. I personally have Guild Wars installed on multiple computers; it's simply a matter of logging in with my own account, on either one. If I need to, I can even log in on someone else's Guild Wars game (just need to enter my account name). I don't think you even have the ability to delete your account (A.Net has to do that), so there shouldn't be anything to worry about when removing/installing/reinstalling the game. :D -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 03:21, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

- Less specifically, you obviously need to own Factions. If you are the Guild Leader and you don't own Factions you will be unable to align your guild with the Kurzicks. The only option would be to give guild leadership to someone who did own factions, temporarily if you want - you will remain allied with the Kurzicks if he gives leadership back to you. 55 Monk aka Invincimonk
So I've been farming using the SoA 55 monk build for some time now from level 14-18. Now with all four superior runes and the -50 hp grim cesta my health is 90 instead of lower. Level 20 invicimonks have 55 health, why do I have so much? Im not using survivor or vigor insignias/runes, just radiant insignias for extra energy. I'm using a non-max Fiery gladius of Enchanting +20% longer enchantments) but no fortitude mods. Needless to say Im very confused. any answers? --Tulkas of Illuin
- You forgot one of the superior runes, you're supposed to be using five. -- Gordon Ecker 04:38, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
I've got, protection, smiting, healing, and divine favor, whats missing? As far as I know, you can only upgrade armor with runes of the same profession, so how can I add a fifth? The build only shows 4 runes on pvxbuilds.com in case anyone wanted to know -- Tulkas of Illuin
nevermind, I asked a guildy and he told me to use another rune of the same kind, I didnt see that on pvx since they dont show the additional bonus (which doesnt exist) you just get the health removal. thanks =]

rt/a/p/d secondaries in proph
Is there a way to aquire rt/a/p/d secondaries for a PvE character in the proph campaign? i have factions, nf and gwen installed
- You have to get ascended in the storyline, or closer to the stars in the factions storyline in order to change your secondary. Vanguard 21:38, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- You will have to take your Prophecies character to the correct campaign to change profession to a campaign specific one (Go to Factions for A, Rt, etc). You will also need to reach a specific outpost to access the Profession changer. Senji's Corner in Factions and Command Post in Nightfall. - anja 21:39, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- Or the Profession Changer (NPC) at the Battle Isles will do it for any ascended character for any available profession. See also Profession changer. - HeWhoIsPale 21:46, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- You can chose Assassin or Ritualist at Command Post, and vice-versa for Paragon and Dervish in Senji's Corner as well; easiest way would be Great Temple of Balthazar, though. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 23:49, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

- If you have ever logged into the ingame store, you have created a PlayNC master account (or you did manually). From this time on, you can never change your login name (which was originally an email adress) again. But as you will never receive any emails to that email adress, the login name is just a plain name for your account without any reason behind.. Guild Leader Auto-Designation
Our Guild Leader and a major portion of our Guild (his family) have been MIA for the past 2 months plus. My question is in Guild Wiki it indicates that "If the guild leader does not log in for two months, the guild leader will be demoted to officer and one of the officers will be promoted to guild leader, the selection method used by this process is whichever officer was logged on last."
Retrieved from "http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Leader"
However, when the new Guild Leader was auto-designated; GW chose someone who hadn't logged in for 3 weeks even though there were officers that had logged on the day prior to the auto-change. What are the REAL rules for auto-designation?
We like the group we have but would like to form some alliances and go about our "lives" until our fellow "Guildies" check back in. Any help? At least if we understood the rules we could anticipate when we can start really working our Guild again. Thanks AJ Quirrih Joneew 19:03, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
- I guess no one knows then if the article has false info. -- (gem / talk) 19:06, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
After contacting Anet I found the following information in their Knowledge Base:
"In cases where the guild leader has not logged in for 60 days or more, that guild leader will be auto-replaced with an officer—the officer who has been on the guild roster for the longest period of time. If the guild has no officers, the system will auto-select a member instead—the member who has been on the guild roster for the longest period of time. Simultaneously, the absent guild leader will be auto-demoted to officer status. (Note: Any character that has not logged on for 60 days or more is ineligible for auto-promotion to guild leader.) "
So I'm thinking the wiki should be updated to this new information. Based on researching my Guild Members this does seem to be what happened when GW re-assigned my Guild's Leadership. aj Joneew 19:21, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Stacking????
Ok I know that if you cast two speed reduction hexs the two amounts don't add up, and it's just revered to the higher one (i.e. Ice Prison's 66% plus Winter Embrace's 90% does not make foe 156% slower, only 90%). But does what about somthing like Amour Penitration add up through weapons and skills (like 20% AP on sword and 20% from Judge's Insight mean you have 40% AP)?
- As specified at armor penetration, these effects do stack. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 08:53, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Much appreciated.
,YeDi
- To elaborate, unless they're explicitly capped, effects stack multiplicatively rather than additively like you'd expect. If you slow someone by 50% and then another 50%, rather than moving 100% slower they would move 75% slower. --71.229.204.25 10:02, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

- you use Signet of Capture after you've killed a boss that shared one of your professions. then you can select its elite skill and - tada - you can use it, too (of course, only one elite skill at a time). if your account has all three campaigns, then yes, you can acquire all elite skills that are in the game and get the title Legendary skill hunter. - Y0_ich_halt 18:37, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Camera Problem
I have a problem with the camera angle spinning 90 degrees whenever i stop moving. it is annoying and hinders combat. can you help?
- Hmm. Perhaps your movement is rubberbanding slightly, so that when you stop your character moves backwards ever so little, and thus the camera begins to turn to follow it? You might try using click-to-move (enable it in the Options window, then left-click on the ground somewhere to move there) and see if the camera problem still exists - since click-to-move is managed server side, it shouldn't rubberband as much. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 02:42, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- The other option is to check your mouse and/or keyboard for stuck or glitchy bits, especially if you've got an optical mouse. There's a button to spin your character 90 degrees, if that's slightly stuck, it could be triggering when you stop moving. Or it could be your optical mouse, thinking it's doing something it's not. Try to fiddle around with using both, and see if you notice a difference (e.g., you only get the problem while mouse-walking, or vice versa). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:49, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey i just buy nightfall and I got 2 keys in side one is active card and one is budy and epic key so wath is the body or epic key use for.And if I make new accaunt with active card key can I leater upgreid with my faction accaunt with thet same key.--XemnasX 15:37, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- First, the buddy key is a trial key. You can give it to a friend so he can try Guild Wars for a specific time.
- When you create a new account with the Nightfall key, you can never use this key again, so if you already have a account (with Factions or Prophecies) you should add the Nightfall key to this account to allow your characters to travel to Elona (the continent of Nightfall). poke | talk 15:40, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Why is the max level 20?
I think that it is kind of dumb that we fight stuff higher level than us and get our butts handed to us. Please give me answer so I know. I was told it has something to do with attribute point system, but I didn't think that was right. --207.177.66.139 01:30, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Because this isn't WoW --- Raptors / RAAAAAAAAAA!
- Because level plays a very small part in GW. The game isn't about grinding levels. — Skuld 01:33, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- the game is skill based not lvl base so a lvl 1 has the same chance to pwn a lvl 20 in pvp if done right. 話す priestess donut 寄付02:21, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Because it's easier to get to max level, all players are are even footing early on in the game. You win by your skill, not your level; this makes it easy for a player to jump into the game on weekends and still have fun, while a player who plays every day always has things to do.
- Also, games like WoW and so on still have foes that are much higher level then players can achieve, Guild Wars just tops out quicker. Another way Guild Wars could have done it would be to raise the max level to 60, and have players level up three times as fast. It's really all in how you look at it that makes the big difference. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 02:57, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

- It's all about using the right skills with the right timing and response, along with team-mates that are doing the same, in combination, to overcome the harder foes. Skill and Teamwork (even if teamwork does mean bossing your heroes about). :) Biscuits 08:20, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

account name
If you change your email address how do you change it on guild wars so that any new news they send you goes to your new email address? I want to know how to change your email on guild wars.
- After logging into your game, on the Character Select screen, there's a "Edit Account" button on the bottom. Choose that, then check the "Change Mailing Address" button. I believe that should allow you to make the changes you need... you'll need to have or create a PlayNC account for that. Does anyone else know how this works a little better? help
i dont know what happened but when i logged in it seems that my files were reset. meaning i have to download every town that i enter again. takes a really long time. i have to wait a couple of hours before i get to play in 1 area.. then when i move to another area i have to wait another hour again. this really sucks. is there a way around this? im from the philippines, my connection is DSL.
- To be quite honest what would help you most is patience. :) I'm afraid I am unsure as to why it is doing this but if you can bare to just sit it out things will speed up over time! :) --Alien 15:37, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- There is a way, you can go to Properties (on the GW icon) and the "target" space, put a -images (or /images?) at the end and it will download the whole thing. It will take a good few hours but no more waiting after that. Vanguard 15:38, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) How long was it since the last time you were online? It may be because you missed a lot of the updates, so it is downloading those files. Also, a way to get around the problem of loading everytime you change zone is to right click on the Guild Wars icon -> Properties -> Shortcut tab -> Target and then enter -image after the text already in there. This makes the GW client download all the available updates at once. Details can be found here, and instructions on how to do it at the top of the page. br12 • 15:42, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
i was last logged on this morning. ok ill try the -images thing. sounds good to me. so is it -images or /images?
- It's -image. br12 • 15:51, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Just a note (in case you haven't read that page), make sure you delete -image once you are done with it - once all updates have been downloaded, the normal Guild Wars thing doesn't start because of the -image command. Or you can make a copy of the Guild Wars icon and keep them both seperately - one for updating (the one with -image) and one to start play. br12 • 15:53, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Also note that this could take really long. Since you mentioned that you wait a long time for the smallish updates while changing outposts, this is likely to take several hours up to days. However, as mentioned above, after that there are no more downloads till the next update. --Xeeron 15:59, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Which means you run very fast. For example, I've been loading -image on a three month old computer for about fifteen minutes now, and I'm 20% through. On a brand-new computer (almost) with above-average processor, RAM, etc. I don't wnat to know what it's like on a bad computer. Calor - talk 21:25, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

regarding what u taught earlier... is this for updates? or for the towns that i go to?
sorry if you think these are useless questions. im still a noob. need a little help.. :) cud u explain what those download things are? coz sumtimes theyre really slow. and it kinda sucks when u have to wait like 2 hours before u get to play, then when u move to another area u have to wait another hour again. isnt there a place where i can save the files so it doesnt have to be downloaded. i think WOW is like that.
- Yes there is. If you read the replies above, you will see the answer. Edit your guild wars shortcut and add -image to the end of it. Run the game and let it download everything. Then remove the -image from the shortcut again. You will now have downloaded everything, and won't have to wait every time you change zone. Biscuits 16:06, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

runes & insignias
SORRY-i forgot to write subject before so i reapet the question. hi. i need some help. what does (non-stacking) actualy means in the health rising runes? does your health, armor, energy rise if you use more same runes or insignias on diffrent armor parts. what about that (o leg,on chest...) energy or health insiognia-can you use more these on diffrent armor parts. i also need a good advice what runes and insignias shall i put on my paragon-he is half attack half helper. plz help. thx
Non-stacking means only one rune of the same type will count (the higher one). For example, a Minor Vigor rune gives you +30 Health, while a Superior Vigor rune will give you +50. If you wear both, you'll get only +50, because they don't stack. Two Minor Vigor runes won't stack either. Vitae runes also add health (+10), but they stack with Vigor runes because it's a different type (also, Vitae runes are weird because they stack with each other).reanor 19:41, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Now, your paragon...Centurion on everything should do. I suggest you get a minor spearmastery and a minor leadership on some non-headgear armor. Put a major or superior rune of your highest level Attribute in a matching headgear (as in, putting a Motivation rune on your "Motivation +1" crest). Only switching headgear should allow you to try different builds.reanor 19:44, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- Note also that the stacking restriction only work for the benefical effect. If you put 5 Superior Hammer mastery runes on your armor you will get only +3 to Hammer Mastery (only one rune works), but will get a penalization of -375hp (-75x5). Basically, the "non-stacking" mark only means that a rune/insignia will not give further benefit if combined with another of the same base name, independant of rarity (major, superior, minor).--Fighterdoken 19:48, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- That explanation is a little confusing. Put simply, the not stacking only applies to the writing it is directly next to. For example, a Sup Expertise rune reads:
- Ranger Rune of Superior Expertise
- Expertise +3 (non-stacking)
- Health -75
- If you have 2 of them, you only get +3 expertise, because that is non-stacking, but you get -150 health because that stacks. I hope that's a little more clear :) —Ebany Salmonderiel 21:19, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
Elite armor?
I is wondring if elite armor is beter than normal armor and beter than armor that do cost allmost at the same price as the elit armor??--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Ymmij12 .
- It works exactly the same as normal armour at maximum armour level (such as the ones at Droknar's Forge, Consulate Docks and Kaineng Center). The only extra thing elite armour gives you is bragging rights (and in some cases, cooler-looking armour). —Ebany Salmonderiel 21:14, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- It's generally a good idea to just type "[class] Armor" in the wiki and look at everything. There are some cases where the elite armor doesn't look as good as the basic 1k armor. Vanguard 13:37, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

- because skill balances happen for one niche use of an otherwise balanced skill. Instead of balancing the core reason for an abuse, ie the function of paragon chants, nerf fuck up the sympoms of these abuses and screw over many builds and professions, ie the b/p ranger. Because the skill balancers value PvP over PvE, balances screw over many PvE skills to uselessness in favour of PvP. 58.106.236.144 05:18, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
playing factions with nf char
hi. i have a nf char. i won nf. now i wona do factions. where do i get primary quests?
i just bought a used guild wars faction how do i tell if the key has been used or if i can add it to my existing account
- Before logging in there is an "add new key" or something option under where you enter your password. After you get the key activated on your account, your Nightfall character can enter Factions by doing a quest or two from Kamadan. It will alert you with a message "Please talk to [NPC] name for [Quest name] for entry into Cantha(Factions.)" Something like that. Vanguard 13:32, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- If you have bought a used Factions key, that key can not be added to any account. You won't be able to join it to your current one because it's already been used. br12 • 14:23, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- Have a look at Cantha#Getting_to_Cantha. You can check if the key is used by trying to add it to your account. If you bought a used copy, it's almost certain it will have been used. Check out key code for details on access keys. Biscuits 14:32, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- It's safer to add additional keys through the Edit Account button after you've logged in. -- Gordon Ecker 04:41, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

- No one. Foreign characters start in a more advanced stage of the storyline (from Kaineng). All you can do is travel to the Mission outposts and "re-live" the missions.reanor 15:22, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
