Talk:Diessa Chalice
Drop research[edit]
Observed drops for Diessa Chalice in Cathedral of Flames.
- Since Cathedral of Flames is the only place where you can find them i changed the Location list to the Level where you found a Diessa Chalice. - Wikke 17:50, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

??[edit]
I suspect all Charr, if not everything in the dungeon, drop the Chalices. The Blademaster was the only one that dropped for me. Dancing Gnome 11:02, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
I can confirm its not only Charr in the dungeon that drop these, I got mine from an undead creature near the Steward of the...Lady person. LunarEffect 00:04, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
I pulled one off an Enchanted Spear as well. --Rururrur 05:08, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Bone Fiend drop. Paddymew 14:46, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
Diessa Lowlands[edit]
looks like the dungeon or the charr in this have to do something with them? Zerpha The Improver 01:15, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- There is a collector at the entrance of the dungeon who trades 50 of these for a blindfold, a new headgear for all classes. That would be why they only drop inside this dungeon. Dancing Gnome 06:52, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Drop Rate[edit]
These things have a horribly low frustrating drop rate. I took a party of 8 people into the dungeon and we cleared the place, we saw three drop in the entire time. Thats insane to try and get 50 of them when 8 people with a full clear over 200 monsters and only 3 dropped. Dancing Gnome 09:12, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- I've cleared that dungeon three times and only one dropped. D= -Hopefulaltruist 02:34, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- I know that henchies lower your personal drop rate...but you would think that after 7 runs through I'd see at least one of these, or the Rin Golden things drop...but i've yet to see either of them drop :( 68.104.205.160 05:59, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- The Gold Rin things are interesting. I've not even seen someone wtb or wts them. Is it possible they don't drop at all? I think these are bugged and their drop rate is too low. Dancing Gnome 07:09, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Well, about the Rin Relics, I've seen pictures of people wearing the Dread Mask, so someone must have found something. LunarEffect 12:48, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Definately think the drop rate of these needs to be fixed, it's lower than destroyer cores, same with the rin relics, drop rate is horrid. Ghostun 01:16, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Drop rate seems to be around 1%, so if you kill 5000 enemies here you'll get your 50, of course if you're in a team of 8 that's 40,000 enemies, or about 1200 runs. I think that like many things in the game, you're not expected to farm them, but to buy some of them from others who don't want the blindfold, making it a prestige item. --Maestro Ed 21:02, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
- Prestige items are like 10k or 20k. You need to offer AT LEAST 2k to get someone to sell one of these which puts you at 100k minimum for head gear - that's ridiculous. I can understand rarity but this is too rare. Compare this, someone is in Doomlore Shrine buying Golden Rin Relics for 20k each - it's ridiculous not rare or prestige. 58.110.139.72 04:03, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Not really, FoW is the ultimate prestige set, and it costs far more then that. Vizu, and other rare minis cost far more then 100k. In comparison this is fairly low on the cost scale.Kypp Duron 16:30, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well I usually pretend minis aren't a part of the game but with armour like FoW, I have never had a problem getting any of the mats for FoW. If you offer enough to buy, they will come. Diessa Chalices can have you spamming in town for a month before you get the 50, even if you offer enough. Dancing Gnome 05:53, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Not sure if this helps, but I've received 2 lots of these (10) as gifts from Lt Thackeray during war in Kryta when you try to set him up with Gwen and have to sort him out with various items. See http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Keiran_Thackeray to find out what items can be exchanged for multiple bags/gifts. 10/2/2012
Better Image[edit]
If someone can put up a better image it would be great. Something a long the standard of Glacial Stones. Dancing Gnome 09:14, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Do these Sell[edit]
Do people sell these, if so how much and what town is most popular for them to be sold?
- yes people sell them frequently... they sell in either spamadan or outside the place where they drop/are used... the latter is the better... they sell in range from 1k to 1.5k from what I have seen... actual costs may vary MrPaladin talk 13:56, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Non-salvageable[edit]
Should it be noted this item cannot be salvaged like other trophy items? Kaoz|talk 14:32, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
is this item scaled based on party[edit]
I was wondering if this item is scaled based on how many people are in your party. Noting that this item is a white collectable, I'm guessing it is rarer than Globs of Ectoplasm.--Dark Paladin X 18:40, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
