Dervish Rune of Superior Scythe Mastery
hey i am a some what veteran at this game and i recently acquired the 130 hp build for a dervish and i was wanting to know which creatures drop dervish specific runes like the Dervish Rune of Superior Scythe Mastery... any information would be cordially accepted--Auzyboy 20:05, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- Runes aren't dropped. Exactly what is your definition of "veteran", out of curiosity? Calor 20:10, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- uhm? poke | talk 20:12, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- I assume that our friend doesn't want to pay for them, but what I think he/she meant was which ones drop armor giving said rune. While there are no creatures that give runes specifically, you would have good luck with dervish enemies, particularly of higher level, as they would need to drop a gold armor for even the possibility of a gold rune. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 20:13, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well, after checking with a Rune Trader, I believe that this rune was specified because the other three are under 150g, while this one is (at this present time at the one in Kamadan) above 200g. I must say, it is really a terrible chance to get this specific rune from just farming. So yeah, Rune trader unless you want to spend your day looking for a needle in a heket stack (I write my own material, folks, no matter how bad it is). --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 20:18, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

salvage tool
after using the salvage tool a couple of times the tool disapears and in the bottom left courner it says it has been destroyed. with 98 uses left and at 2 plat each this is becoming expensive. can any one help cause my partners salvage kit doesnt do that.--86.154.112.63 23:10, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- I don't believe there is a salvage tool with infinite uses. Sorry. Your friend might be referring to a Perfect Salvage Kit which will not break an item, but it only has 5 uses. --People of Antioch 23:53, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
its a Superior Salvage Kit and it is destroyed several times after only 5 - 6 times thats not normal--ellegon
- The workaround is to only buy expert salvage for the time being (does it do that for them as well?), and the other options seems to be to contact support. (mendel 84.128.219.181 10:07, 1 June 2008 (UTC))
i will try it on an expert kit and see if it happens again thanks for the time i will repost --ELLEGON
freezing
my computer keeps freezing in eye of the north, first it was in the charr lands now its in rata sum. What should I do?
- I had a similar problem in teh HoM when EOTN first came out. Just reinstall the game client (which can be found here), and you should be fine. If the problem persists, it could be your graphics card. The areas you mentioned are filled with graphical doodads that can easily fry an old graphics card. ~ Wandering Traveler 05:28, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Run a simple test to see if your computer meets minimum requirements. You can run a game lacking such things, but it will be really bad. Also, download latest drivers for your vid and sound card too. --People of Antioch 05:30, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Freezing in the Shiverpeaks, now that I could understand. Erm, anyway, your computer freezing may have to do with summer approaching: computers freeze when they get to hot (ironically). So make sure that all your fans in the case are working (including the graphics card) and that the air can flow freely into and out of your PC case (including the sometimes somewhat hidden vents at the front). If your PC has been overclocked, turn that down. Oh, and try whether reducing the graphics options or the screen resolution helps any. (mendel 84.128.219.181 10:43, 1 June 2008 (UTC))
I have the worst excuse for a vid card ever. It fails that test that Antioch linked to for every single incarnation of GuildWars (I've run the test before). See what I mean? Oddly enough, I can still run the game perfectly. Or, well, I could until GW:EN came out. During the GW:EN previews I could run around fine but my game would randomly freeze, as the original poster has mentioned. At the time, there was a page somewhere on this Wiki that listed which graphics cards that had this issue, but the issue had supposedly been resolved by the time the actual game came out. Sure, my game stopped freezing... but my FPS shot down to 2-4. Not 24. Two to four. I am not even kidding. It used to only happen in GW:EN, but now it happened even if I'm standing in a nearly deserted district of Lion's Arch. ^x__x^;; But anyway, I guess my points are that: 1) you can still play GuildWars (not including GW:EN) perfectly fine, even if your card fails that test, since I have been doing so with this crap vid card ever since the game came into existance, and 2) GW:EN kills computers. Or, at least, laptops. --Dragon nataku 18:13, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hello fellow intel chipset member! Anet cannot nor will not offer support for non-supported chipsets. I will hunt down the drivers for you. (I have a slightly better 945). You are having problems in eye of the north due to the new shaders in it. Eg. the forest fires. The lastest driver fixed my problems. And there was a fix right after eotn's release for intel chipsets.Dominator Matrix 18:47, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Here is the link For Intel 915. Select your os and away ya go. Dominator Matrix 18:52, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- My computer laughs at your pathetic attempts to get it to allow me to play GuildWars again. I installed the latest driver. And these are the results: BEHOLD, fair reader, and despair! And that is while I am just standing around in a district of Lion's Arch that contains all of five people, all of whom are AFK. Moving even a couple of feet forward is an exercize in futility, as I somehow end up walking backwards along some diagonal axis, when I am merely pressing the up arrow key and nothing else. I will not regale you with my tale of how I managed to beat GW:EN like this, because it is enough to make grown gamers cry. It is suffice to say that the only way I managed to get from point A to point B was by clicking on my partner in crime and button-mashing the spacebar. I would not have even gotten further than visiting the HoM the first time if he had not insisted that I absolutely needed to finish the game. Somehow he got it into his head that everybody else he knew ingame was too stupid to be of any help to him in the dungeons, and that someone with an FPS like mine was the obviously better choice to actually beat those dungeons. I hypothesize that he is, in fact, insane, although we did manage to finish Slavers' Exile somehow. But enough about me and my problems, as we don't know if the original poster even has an Intel chip. I just wish I could find that page on here that listed all of the graphics cards that had that kind of problem, but it seems to have been eaten by a grue. --Dragon nataku 20:09, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- I did as you suggested. I can only assume that that command or whatever forces the game to use DirectX8 or something. I restarted GuildWars. My computer did not like this. It informed me of its displeasure by immediately sending me a cease and desist order in the form of a BSoD (Blue Screen of Death). And then promptly restarted my computer for me. At which point I tried opening GWs again. And again was struck down by the Dark Blue God Himself. My computer has since discovered that it was your idea and has sent law ninja to track you down. I only hope you read this warning in time before they get to you. Avoid all windows, and for heaven's sake man, DO NOT ANSWER THE DOOR!! --Dragon nataku 20:52, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Nataku, are you looking for this page? Then there's Command_line_arguments, the -dx8 is in there and -noshaders looks quite promising as well. I hear they took out the -dx7 option before release, it made the GW background music sound like a synthesizer from the 80s. Oh, yeah, -nosound is probably worth a try, if GW has the CPU mixing the different sound sources because your sound card is crap. (mendel 84.128.213.207 14:17, 2 June 2008 (UTC))
- Yes, mendel, thank you, that is the page I was looking for. Perhaps it will assist the original poster. Maybe. Dominator Matrix, I did as you suggested and uninstalled GWs and then reinstalled, even though the BSoD only occured after I used the "-dx8" command line and not before. Downloaded everything. Started up the game without the "-dx8" thing to make sure. Logged in fine. Everything "worked" (in that I still had a crappy FPS, but no BSoD). Closed GWs. Re-added the "-dx8" command line. Started the game up again, logged in again... aaaaaand.... BSoD. So please do not suggest again that I have a corrupted .dat if this only happens when I use the "-dx8" command line, as I'm sure summoning The Dark Blue God so often like this cannot be very good for the future of the Universe. :o\ mendel: I will try -noshaders now, thanks. --Dragon nataku 18:28, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- ... mendel... -noshaders worked wonders. And you got the grue to vomit back up that page with the list of graphics cards on it. You are my hero. I love you. Marry me? Otherwise, I will raise an army of mendel fangirls (Gogo Father of Genetics!!) to stalk you til the end of time. ... get it? Stalk? Like, peas? (Do peas even grow on stalks? Ah, who cares) <3!! --Dragon nataku 00:14, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
GW Mission - possible bug
- → moved from HELP:WIKI
my assassin was doing the mission call master of corruption, and has atm 4 heroes not long acquired, after drinking the chalice and following tosai to undercity depths, it was just continuing plague mobs, constant re spawn, after 6 deaths with heroes and henchmen, left it till next night, trying once again but this time with a more exp guild member and her heroes , her pet, and one of heroes with summoned 4-5 minions, we still died 7 times over , which made me thing it was bugged, with continual spawnage, im tried to abandon the mission, the go get it again but decline drinking it, so then all that would happen is the nearby am fah mobs just attack u, and that was it except for turn it but this time i didn't have the chalice, , ,/sigh i don't know, maybe just abandon try for another chalice off the guy before tosai, minister i think its was or just dump the mission altogether, ---- just on a side note, is there on on gw wiki i could view the quest or mission info to see how it sposed to be done or how others have done ?? like a thottbot for warcraft, as such ?? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Sky (talk).
- You may want to take a look at Masters of Corruption for answers to your questions. I don't believe it's a bug.-- Wynthyst 10:20, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- It is not a bug, as far as I know. When I did it around the time that Factions first came out there were also seemingly-endless crazy legions of afflicted coming at me. I died lots. Somehow, my henches did not, which is just odd. (I had no heroes, as Nightfall had not come out yet, so I had the henches from the city with me) They killed everything while I just stood there and died. I guess I should thank them for finishing the quest for me. ^<__<^;; That was my only character that ever did that quest. The rest haven't gone anywhere near that Tosai dude cause he is EVIL. --Dragon nataku 18:34, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- That Tosai guy is mean, but his quest is nice. I did it coming in from the Vizunah side and clearing the resident mobs before talking to Tosai at all. (You could probably do the same coming in from the Byway). But I never talked to Tosai to claim the reward, so the Am Fah in the Bazaar are still quite friendly. If I ever want to, there's a strange dude called Senjo Wah near the Vizunah entrance that would also give me the reward. Tosai in disguise? Creepy. (mendel 84.128.193.225 01:39, 3 June 2008 (UTC))
- 1) You can also make the Am Fah in Wajjun be friendly forever by taking all of the quests leading up to the Brother Tosai thing, but just not ever talking to Tosai. Ever. 2) That Senjo guy is obviously Tosai's younger brother trying to usurp his big brother's power in the Am Fah guild by giving rewards for Tosai's quests. He's hiding near Vizunah so that his brother won't find out, since Vizunah is nowhere near Am Fah territory. He's safe, probably forever. Unless one of the myriads of other non-Am Fah things around there decide that he would be fun to "play" with... --Dragon nataku 04:56, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Vizunah is nowhere near Am Fah territory? Where are all the ninjas and afflicted in Vizunah coming from, then? Must be trick of the mind, I may have drunk too much orange dye.. or was it the green one? ... never mind, don't ask. Erm. Your theory makes sense,he's probably called "Brother" Tosai for a reason, and "Wah" is probably Canthan for "brother" as well. Those translators at Arenanet just fail. (mendel 84.128.193.225 07:56, 3 June 2008 (UTC))

- You don't say! Really? Who'd have guessed. And I thought Brother Mhenlo and Sister Tai were... oh well. I found a neat sentence while googling for "Am Fah" and religion, though. A neat sentence with the words "Am Fah", I mean. Can you make a sentence with "Am Fah"? I bet yours won't turn out as well as this: (hover your mouse over the link to see the text). Questions

I have two questions.
1. What is meant by "ganking"?
2. What is a "meta weapon"?
--Colonist 12:40, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- You might be interested in the Ganking article. But a Meta-weapon is essentially a weapon that everyone is using at the moment. its like the Flavor of the Month syndrome, but with weaponry. ~ Wandering Traveler 12:45, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
GW.dat
My friend also wants to play GW but he's got a slow internet connection, so I figured that he wont have to download the maps and files if I copy my gw.dat to his comp. But is this allowed or do you get banned for it?

- nope, there's nothing wrong about it. but i'd think about playing guild wars at all if the connection is that slow :)> - Y0_ich_halt 16:45, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Nothing wrong with it, just warn the person that he'll get your user configuration when he loads in rather than the factory default, though I think there's a button to defaultify everything. We tend to do this when reimaging from scratch, as my computer can sit there and download while I'm at work and not stop my mate from playing. --Star Weaver 17:55, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Title bar for Character history
Don't know if bug or what But when doing missions I noticed when I hit H for history of my character and then hit the Titles folder I noticed that my Mission completed is incorrect I know I have done 19 Because the only way to get South Shevering peaks is complete mission before. As far as I can tell My skill points is correct because I see them adding up. Everytime I complete Mission the Shield with Sword shows up. I also now the number of treasure chest opened is incorrect. I know for a fact that I opened more that three. The unluck count has my character at 75 don't kow about that I think alot more.My titles for the other list appear to be OK since I am now Asuran level 4 and climbing. My hero book seems to ok. I finished Ola Lab and that showed correctly. Am I doing something wrong? What kind of info do you need. My Character name is Zagreus Titan. I have spoken to someone else who has been playing and they just noticed the the same thing with the Thirsty River mission. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pemerick (talk • contribs) at 19:44, 2 June 2008 (UTC).
- First, sign (Four tildes). Second, the Protector title only goes up when you get Masters/mission and bonus on a mission. Treasure Hunter goes up with chests above a certain value. Unlucky also has its own rules. Try searching these titles, get a better understanding of them, then see if you still have any bugs. (It's H for Hero, by the way) --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 19:50, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
If that is the case if H is for Hero then the Title for mission done is incorrect because i did not get any Hero until I entered Lions Arch which at that time the Mission completed was correct at 8. So how do I find out how many mission completed if not "H" for your character?
- the "hero" in this case refers to your character. also, you can't track how many missions you have finished yet. you can only track how many you have completed (i.e. master's or with bonus). - Y0_ich_halt 15:19, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Still not answering the first initial question. I know for a fact that I have finshed more than 12 mission so why does the mission completed in titles display the correct amount of missions completed? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pemerick (talk • contribs) at 17:47, June 3, 2008 (UTC).
- did you check whether you had all those mission finished with bonus (that means the icon looks like this )? as said previously, only then will the title count go up. and about the treasure chests, maybe you opened them with a different character. those titles only count for the char who opens the chest. or maybe you counted all chests? because for the title, only high end chests count (the chests which need keys with 750g cost or more). - Y0_ich_halt 18:12, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

- Actually, the Tyrian missions count one point towards title for mission complete, and one for bonus complete, each. Hence 25/25 for Protector of Tyria. Also, it is possible to get to the Southern Shiverpeaks without having completed many of the missions before then... --Dragon nataku 18:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry Dragon, but that is not correct. There are 25 actual missions in Tyria, each counts one point toward Protector when completed with the bonus. The one that is often missed is the Augury Rock mission (killing the Doppelganger) because it does not appear on the map as a mission until it has actually been unlocked by completing the other 3 Crystal desert missions. (edit) As for treasure chest count, Tyrian chests don't start counting toward the title until you reach the Southern Shiverpeaks.-- Wynthyst 18:56, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, that was my case of The Crazy acting up again. Just call me Lady Senile the Great. Back in myyy daaaaay..... uphiiiiiill..... both waaaaaaays..... YOU KIDS GET OFF MY LAWN!! --Dragon nataku 19:20, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
No, for some missions I did not complete the bonus. For example in Crystal desert when I was doing them the all three were counted as missions completed even without doing any of the bonuses but then when I did Augury rock for Ascension it was not included in the count. Then when I did Dragons lair mission completed with one sword, have not been able to kill glint yet.
So if that is the case that you need to do both to get credit then their is still something admist
About the keys i would have to try that next time when i get a key value of 750 then open one with it --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Pemerick (talk).
- It's keys worth 600 or more, actually; so starting in the south shiverpeaks for tyria. Also, the bonuses in the crystal desert are all a giant pain, IMO. --Star Weaver 22:06, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Help with Consulate Docks
Hi I am currently having a minor problem with the game, I own both proph and nightfall and am playing through nightfall after completing proph. However, I am stuck at Consulate Docks and it won't let me do the mission. I was ferried there by another player and have Dunkoro in my party, but it still will not let me try the mission or be part or a party attempting. I don't know what to do and any help would be greatly appreciated.--66.253.167.231 00:50, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- See the List of Nightfall missions, Section Istan, where it says Characters from other campaigns will begin here and follow this quest chain. Unless of course you are now playing with a native Nightfall character, in which case you need to do all the other primary quests and missions first - unlike Prophecies, you can't easily skip them. --84.128.193.225 01:07, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Why did you even get the ferry service if you're playing through for the first time? People want to get ferried to Consulate Docks because of the max armor there, not because they want to cut the story short. Unlike Prophecies, both Factions and Nightfall are stricter when it comes to storyline progression. -- ab.er.rant 02:05, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Weird "leaping" of Istan NPC
I have this weird "leaping" that all of the NPC's from Istan do. It is creating it to where when I try to complete a quest (Tihark Orchard) I cannot get masters because Lumo the Mime does not do any emotes (just this weird leaping thing)
Am I the only one having this issue? Is this not an issue and just a weird game thing? --67.61.190.11 04:14, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- The weird "leaping" is done using "/jump". See emotes for a list. -- ab.er.rant 04:19, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
It's constant like a loop...(I'm pretty sure it's not an emote) It is happening everywhere in the game with characters that are from Istan (like henchmen will do this) It's a leaping forward, leaping back (repeat) --67.61.190.11 04:30, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Gunnar's Hold
Where do I find Gunnar's Hold? Is there a special quest or mission that leads to it or do I just have to stumble across it? 24.98.69.202 20:22, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- First you have to get to the Far Shiverpeaks, obviously, via the appropiate transfer quest. Next you have to observe the first vision in the scrying pool to unblock the exits. After that, just look on map to find how to walk there. Backsword 20:29, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

lost mission/bonus
Help. i've brought my NF char to prophecies and have done all the missions up to bloodstone fen. I have achieved m+b on all bar 2 of the missions (and I've been back and checked which have the crossed swords) yet in my titles page it says I have only completed 8/25 not 9/25. - 1: im a bit confused the armor effect. If the armor does NOT say vs. physical - elemnt - slashing...and so on, is it then armor vs. all???
- 2: im aware of that the number is conectet to THAT part of armor it is written on (chest-boots-gloves...and so on).
But if i put on an Insignia with +10 vs physical on a helmet...is it only the helmet that gets the effect then, or is it allover???
- 3:and last, when armor comes from a weapon-upgrade or shield, is the amouth of armor allover then? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Lilleput (talk).
- To (1), yes, if it's not specified then it's "vs. all". To (2), only the helmet gets it on the example you give. To (3), yes, it's a global effect same as if it were a spell.--Fighterdoken 22:00, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- There is also damage that ignores all armor; obsidian flame, empathy, Chaos Storm are a couple examples, but many things thay just say "deals 10 damage" rather than "deals 10 slashing damage" are like this. See damage. Skills usually have notes in here about typeless or typed damage if it's not what you'd expect. Life Stealing is different than regular damage, too. Also: armor. --Star Weaver 19:46, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

long distance scythe? rits, are they defensless moving targets?
Hi, this actually is a questions and a complaint combined. The question - perhaps it is a latency issue but in a recent competative mission, i found myself being hit by a scythe wielded by a ranger. This ranger was just outside my agro bubble. I dont remember scythes having that long of a reach. Is this a bug? Could the ranger have been closer and his distance just a latency produce illusion? Now the complaint.. I understand why you nerfed Ancestors Rage in Pvp, but it still hurts for those of us who are not 'professional' gamers that can figure out all the loopholes. That was a primary self defense tool for my ritualist, now, like all th ritualist spells, with the long casting time, im dead before I get off the spell. Perhaps im missing something, but unless you invest heavy in your secondary, a primary rit needs to spend most of its time running until its attacker gets bored and goes away. Binding chains helps, but that is only a bandage. After a few moments your foe is on you again and BC is still recharging. The other casters have quick fire defensive spells, why not rits?
Im hoping i posted all of this in the right place.. Trying to find a place to post these questions and complaints is very confusing on this site.
Thanks for you time,

Sanctum Cay Ghost Glitch
the ghost says to take him to the "Vizier"... when you get there he just keeps saying to take him the the guy standing right in front of him. If I give the Vazier the Septer of Orr he is still there but of course won't follow me anymore which doesn't matter cause he's already there.
Is there a patch for this?

- The easiest way to make money in the game is to play the game. -- Wynthyst 19:42, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- Most people buying and selling accounts are scammers as well, as there's no way you can make them pay if you give them a key, and vice-versa. Even if it was allowed by the EULA, it would be a bad idea. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 22:44, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- Think about it for a second...if you wanted to sell a trial key, how would you securely set that trade up? This is true for any non-conventional in-game trade. (e.g. Buying guilds, Runescape gold, GW accounts) Your best bet is to steer clear of these types of things. Also, you're better off asking your guild members HOW to make money, not FOR money. You'll learn more that way, and you won't irritate your guildies. -- TERO talk 02:51, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- Not exactly, but people will report you if they see you doing something illegal. And exactly what do you need to buy? Everything you need to buy can be obtained by just playing the game. The rest is just what you want to buy. -- ab.er.rant 01:41, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
help me understand balthazar faction cap, please?
Hi all. I'm confused by the Balthazar faction points cap. The wiki page says that it caps at 10000 unless you have titles.. i have none of the titles listed. My meter bar caps at 10000 but if i mouse over it, it says my account has earned 176000 Balthazar faction. Am i over my limit? Will i no longer be able to get B faction? If it caps, will I not longer be able to spend or earn faction on the 10k meter to buy zaishen keys with? With none of the titles listed on the wiki page, how much more can i expect to be able to earn before it stops.. I thought B faction could be endlessly acquire, but only the 10000 listed on the graphic meter could be spent. What keeps people pvp'ing if they are no longer able to gain any rewards? Would i have to buy all new copies of the game and create second account, just so i can earn zaishen keys with B faction?
Thanks for reading this. Hope its not too confusing.
74.67.145.123 02:42, 9 June 2008 (UTC) milo
- Well, in the first part of the Balthazar faction, the titles are listed and linked, so you could follow those to see how to find them and increase your cap with those titles. If you reach 10k, you can spend some of it with a Priest of Balthazar or by buying Zaishen Keys. When you scroll over, that shows how much your account has earned as a sum, i.e. how much you have earned, then spent. Also, I don't think any faction earned over the limit is counted, even in the account sum (though I could be wrong), stopped short at 10k. That's basically all it is, and what keeps Pvpers going. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 02:49, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- That 176000 you're seeing is the cumulative amount of Balthazar Faction that you've earned since you started playing. The 10000 faction cap is the most amount that you can have at any one time. (without titles to raise it, of course) Basically, you can earn as much as you want, (with some exceptions, e.g. Zaishen Challenge) but your spendable amount won't increase until you buy something with that faction. For instance, you have 10000 faction, then you AB or whatever and get 4000 more. That 4000 will be added to the total amount earned on your account, but you still will only have 10000 faction. Now, say you spend 8000 faction, (leaving you with 2000) and you earn 4000 more, you now have 6000 faction on your account, and your total amount earned on the account went up another 4000. Make sense? -- TERO talk 02:56, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
So if i understand this correctly, the cap, referred to on the wiki page, is just in reference to the maximum I can hold on the spendable bar, not the maximum i can earn on my GW account? So i could continue to earn millions in total for my GW account, with no overall limit? Thanks all the help everyone.
74.67.145.123 09:25, 9 June 2008 (UTC) milo
- I don't do much with Balthazar faction, but I would check to make sure that you continue to earn faction if you have the 10k limit on your account. With Kurzick/Luxon faction you stop earning faction until you spend down the 10k. -- Wynthyst 09:29, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Stacking of Bonds
I was wondering whether or not bonding skills (life bond, life barrier, angelic bond, symbiotic bond) stack, along with how they stack. Also, if it applies, do some of them only stack with certain others. For instance, what would happen if you bonded a pet with all four (yes, it would take multiple people because both life barrier and angelic bond are elite)? Or if you bonded a person with all except symbiotic bond? And so on. Thanks in advance. 68.81.251.195 03:27, 9 June 2008 (UTC) Elendor
- One thing I know on skills like that is that it makes a difference, what order the bonds go up in... I believe if you put Life Bond and then Angelic Bond on a target, Life Bond redirects half, then Angelic Bond redirects half of what's left (total of 75%). Without actually testing the skills in action though, I'm not sure... not all of them work exactly the same. best way to test would probably be in a guild scrim; have one guy be the opponent, using, say, Wild Blow (so you have an even damage number for testing). Hit the target, count the damage, bond up, then hit again and see how the damage gets split up... -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 03:49, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Collectors edition
I was wondering if I purchase a collectors edition for a campaign i already own would mess up my previous edition, or could i just use the key for the special items? Would it be like using the /bonus, /special command or would I have to install the campaign all over again to gain access to the bonus material? --68.34.199.223 22:20, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, it doesn't mess anything up from your previous version of the campaign. The game will popup a warning when you try to add the key, though, something to the effect of "This is a key to a campaign you already have. Adding this key will only add the following bonus features (list of bonus features). Are you sure you want to add this key?" But that doesn't mean it will mess anything up, trust me. I have done this several times and know many people who have done the same, because we're weird people who like to have both the pre-order editions and the collector's editions. And yes, it's /bonus or /special (which command it is depends on which collector's edition campaign you're adding. Check the campaign's Wiki page for which specific command it is). --Dragon nataku 01:28, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yay! We were going to get around to asking this question but haven't had the money to do it anyway. --Star Weaver 18:40, 10 June 2008 (UTC) :)
- Well, I just realized that /bonus and /special or whatever are only for the pre-orders. I think the minipet(s) for the Collector's Ed. show up automatically on the character you first login with after adding the CD key, as long as that character has a free inventory slot. Also, when you first login after adding the CD key, the game should give you a message about whatever items you get. --Dragon nataku 03:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
