Talk:Extend Enchantments
This skill is useless. How about a buff? Don't lose any enchantments, but make it "For 20 seconds, Enchantments cast on you last 10...35% longer." 71.50.50.244 22:01, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
You can use it to trigger a large AoE spike with damage that occurs when some enchantments are removed, or extend normally short enchantments, like Shadow Refuge or Feigned Neutrality, making a D/A have very high survivability and PBAoE spike capability. It is NOT useless. Ojamo 22:19, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- When you cast it, does the 100%boost effect itself?Falcon Assassin 03:52, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- No, since it would need to be active in order for it to affect itself. It's somewhat like with Awaken the Blood, you won't get the boost to blood magic until you cast the enchantment, so you won't be able to gain the duration boost from it. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Doombringer (talk).
- This could be nice if you had a smiter monk using Balthazar's Aura, I suppose. Not sure of other uses, although if monks had to cast Guardian or something on you it would help a bit too. Elder Angelus 20:38, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

If you have this skill lasting 21 secs, with 16 mysticism. If you cast it again straight away, will you lose no enchantments? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 92.10.119.218 (talk).
- No, because when you cast it, it removes all enchants on cast and on end. So no you cant keep your enchants up.
Great synergy potential with Mark of Protection or Healing Hands for a D/Mo, from what I can see. Not so much use in PvP, but being as a fight in PvE is usually finished in 25 seconds. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.15.15.120 (talk).
- Maybe with this on a Dervish, a monk could maintain Aura of Faith while using Blessed Aura and an enchant mod. Eth 16:49, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- Doesnt work like that, buddy. Like any stackable increment/decrement effect, there is a cap to the stack, and if a specific skill goes over that cap, it takes priority. Enchant buffs stack to +50%, but extend enchantments buffs to +100%. Extend wins, Blessed aura and enchant mods do nothing.--Ipsen 19:25, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Works well with enchants that don't last long. ;) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 121.54.92.54 (talk).
i guess if they remove the end effect well be seeing a lot more perma dervishes with essences of celerity lol.--Hubbard The Dervish 21:19, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- You still lose enchantments when you cast it...--Glory 18:58, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Removed Seed of Life from the synergy list. This enchantment only affects the caster, and seed of life cannot be cast on self. This skill is beyond bad...--Ipsen 19:16, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- The idea is that someone else casts it on the Dervish for 10 seconds of nigh-invulnerability. elix Omni 19:42, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Does this work with Order of Pain or Order of the Vampire? Or Aegis, for that matter? Or would it only affect the OoP/Aegis that's on your character? --76.166.187.131 08:44, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

the dervish update 2/17/2011[edit]
this+enchanting mod makes another updated skill, Intimidating_Aura last 150 seconds and Vow of Silence 30 seconds, all using same attribute line @15 mystic. just random note... 98.134.29.245 21:55, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, if you can afford to use a skill slot, then this is a great way to make certain enchantments maintainable. It is also more energy efficient, since instead of reducing the recharge it flat out lengthens the enchantment. I quite like it with Vow of Strength and Aura of Holy Might, to name a couple. Also, forgot to ask, has the icon always looked like this? FleshAndFaith 03:00, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- The icon has not changed. I've found that if you can spare a slot, such as in AB and CMs where the Res is dropped, that it is useful for extending Fleeting Stability on Earth Prayers builds. -- Oiseau | 03:29, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Bug[edit]
It doesn't apply to watchful intervention cast on an ally, but what if another ally casts Watchful on you while you have this on you? — Raine Valen 16:21, 22 Apr 2011 (UTC)
- It would appear that rather than extending your next dervish enchantment, it extends the next dervish enchantment cast (or renewed) on you. Kormon Balser 23:22, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
Note[edit]
Should be noted (i don't know maybe it already somewhere has been) that if the duration of the enchantment cast is lower than the enchantment already on you,it will not be renewed (the old enchantment's duration will remain). Example is using Extend Enchantments + Grenth's Aura, then after it recharges, using GA again, the effect on cast still applied to adjacent foes. The recast enchantment also didn't fill the bar completely, which means that the recast's duration will be compared to that of EE+enchnatment's.So far i've tested it only for flash enchantments, but it should work with all enchantments (maybe works for all enchantments, can try using Glyph of Renewal on long-lasting enchantments and getting weakness, or just removing a +4 runed head to test). Anyways,it's not a big deal, but it's interesting to to note. 95.180.84.110 00:20, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
