Talk:Kamadan, Jewel of Istan
First draft, based off the Lions Arch page on this wiki. Most of my chars have passed through Kamadan already, so I shall look at starting a new char to check the quests etc. shortly (unless another contributor beats me to them!) Nothing has been copied from the gamewikis section, any resemblance is purely coincidental.
Are the categories good / appropriate?
Does each npc need a subpage? Merchants / dye traders / materials are by and large the same except for localised stuff such as keys at merchants...

Party of Eight[edit]
Can you get a party of 8 from Dajkah Inlet go to Kamadan? Even with the right Henchman, Hero, or real people.--King Ranik 13:16, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- Nope. It only happens as part of quests or missions that automatically dump you into an outpost or town. -- ab.er.rant 08:07, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- yes my flend he is right--92.2.174.14 13:32, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Permenant charcters[edit]
Dark terw stays online for days in a row and then logs off. he usally has his head bowed.he changes guilds and dyes his armor differnet colours and i am scared that he may be a hacker. so can some-one confirm that he is not --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Flameronone (talk).
- We can't do anything. Did he do something bad to you? If yes, go to support. If not, why are you even scared of someone who just likes to afk? -- ab.er.rant 12:28, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- no it is all he ever does is afk doesn't ever move so what is the point of being logging in unless you are going to do anything unless you are a tester or hacker?--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Flameronone (talk).
- If you're concerned then contact support and they will access the situation and deal with it as required.- TheRave (talk) 16:36, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well i was i kind waiting for someone from the company to answer my question but i may have to go to support--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Flameronone (talk).
- The Arenanet staff don't check every page of the wiki so they will be unlikely to respond. They will only normally check their talk pages or dedicated support/suggestion pages. TBH, there is no where on the wiki to report this kind of issue.- TheRave (talk) 17:00, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Heh, I'm not the only one wondering about that guy. He's always the same level (18) too. Haven't seen him around lately tho. 85.19.140.9 00:10, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Spamadan[edit]
Shouldn't the notition be made that if a player wishes to travel to Kamadan without having much lag, they should change their districts? 84.85.197.187 16:15, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
The name Kamadan may be a reference to the word Ramadan etc.[edit]
...I still don't see the connection here. 'Overlord Frosty' 09:20, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
- They like, changed a letter from R to K and suddenly had a name? Why's it important to you?Demonic Fahrir talk 09:27, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Probably just doesn't like the Islamic connection Anubis Athul 02:22, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- Or it could be that there's no merit to the reference except that if you change a letter around, it makes another word. You know, I think we should say Istan is a reference to Istanbul, I mean, just add "bul" on the end and it totally fits. --71.72.231.80 02:33, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- There's no merit to the reference except that it references something by changing a letter. — Skakid 03:00, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- The point is that just because one letter makes it another word, doesn't make it a reference. There's probably a million different things in Guild Wars where I could change one letter and it would be a brand new word, that doesn't make it a reference to anything. I would say get confirmation on it, otherwise start including references to every single thing on the wiki where changing one letter makes a brand new word. Charr? Replace that a with an e and we obviously have a Cher reference. --71.72.231.80 04:33, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
- That's blown out of proportion. Kamadan and Ramadan sound extremely similar. — Skakid 18:56, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
- Sounding similar does not a reference make. --71.72.231.80 21:15, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Qamadan[edit]
Qamadan is the Gellerse name of an Arab nation that is the subject of the IMF's efforts in The Brothers, an episode from the 4th season of Mission: Impossible. (See also: the episode's details.)
Coincidence? Almost certainly. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:48, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Does the Dimedeh method still work?[edit]
Page needs to get updated, I've tried all the methods to get in with more than 4 and it "splits" the party into two or respectively kicks out heroes/henchies without notifying the player. Anyone care to confirm this? Sable The Master of Bei Shun 10:40, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Tested the Dockmaster Dimedeh method and it still works. Read the Notes section again. --Silver Edge 05:26, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
