Talk:Master Togo
The only reason I play is to hear Master Togo say 'Ah, Mhenlo, It is good of you to come!' (I really have no idea why I like this line so much...) --Jasmine 01:03, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Burn out?[edit]
Why is factions Togo such a muppet, when young Togo was such a bad ass? Sadie2k 10:48, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Old age? -- ab.er.rant 10:51, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- All those years working in the monastery with the students making his life hell, I'd agree with burn out. Anon
Togo, the smart?[edit]
So, Togo is wise, right? And honorable? But is he "smart"? I mean, he says in Minister Cho's Estate that "Our strength lies in our numbers," but in Zen Daijun, after you see that Yijo got himself killed by Afflicted, Headmaster Vhang says that "Yijo should have known he could not handle this on his own," to which Togo counters, "Yijo gave his life protecting those around him. There is no more noble act." So, is Togo forgetting the numbers thing, or is he just plain stupid? Azalea Ina Dorada 17:35, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
To the topic "Smart", I just did the Minister Cho's Estate mission im HM... and Togo always runs the path with the most foes, so he is almost certain to be killed, if you don't stick to him like glue. I did it with NPCs, and didn't even have time to ress my monk, as Togo was running straight on... I don't think that is very smart...--Aquila Noctis 11:52, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Dont forget, he is always getting stuck in almost every wall he walks into. 71.109.112.157 22:00, 16 August 2010 (UTC) GasMaster
Togo also gets lost whilst walking from Monastery to Cho's Estate. He is not fit to be in charge of a lemonade stand. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 80.189.136.51 (talk) at 10:02, 23 January 2019 (UTC).
Togo also is incapable of walking in Zen Daijun mission. He needs a wheelchair. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 91.125.248.84 (talk) at 02:34, 3 March 2019 (UTC).
Map[edit]
Can someone put up a map of where he is in Tahnnakai Temple, because I've run all around there and couldn't find him D:Crimmastermind 20:20, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- He will be at the ritualist statue. 145.94.74.23 06:15, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Togo lives![edit]
Togo lives... Even after he get killed. I was in Tahnnakai Temple and seen his ghost. Thats correct. I decided to visit Linnok Courtyard for interest and have seen him alive! =D --Jagtiger 11:22, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- And how exactly do we care? : \ I mean, if he'd be removed from Linnok Courtyard because you saw him die; new players traveling along with a character that finished all of Faction's storyline would be tremendously suffering from spoilers as they will question where Master Togo is, since their quests state he should be in Linnok Courtyard... 84.27.152.108 21:57, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thats will be fine if he appear when char with Factions done come with char who didn't finished Factions. But when someone comes who finished Factions, without person who didn't done Factions, this is not good. --Jagtiger 12:33, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Meh, with that sort of logic, you shouldn't be able to repeat half of the Prophecies quests because you've killed Rurik or you've already allied with the Shining Blade.Crimmastermind 05:42, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- Shiro does too! Have you ever played the final mission again? Or all the henchmen we left to die just to get the green item a boss just dropped, they all live, too! I guess someone just ressed him...
- Look, it's just how the game works. If you want to be a bit more immersed in the story: It would take alot more than a ress signet to raise Shiro, not nearly because if you're that moronic then you can't work a ress signet, but because of him being locked up in the underworld (All-be-it, not locked up very well xD). 78.150.95.15
20 Restoration[edit]
Master Togo has 20 Restoration magic in Raisu Palace in hard mode, since Recuperation gave +4 regeneration and was a lv.13 spirit. I'm not sure if this is a trend for all ally NPCs, and I don't know if this is true for master togo in all of HM. --8765 19:13, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Togo in the Tahnnakai Temple[edit]
Is it worth mentioning that while becoming a Canthan hero in the Tahnnakai Temple, he does not get a statue made after himself? Instead, it's still a statue of Kaolai. I guess the previous tenants left some furniture behind (hyuck hyuck hyuck). Overrandom 07:14, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Master Togo Facts[edit]
Just wanted to let you all know, Master Togo Facts. Markus Clouser 12:19, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- PWNT! XD
I can't believe that no one in the entire history of Factions haven't noticed the obvious thing which is[edit]
Togo is Lenin! --Graahk 19:45, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm...Molenin Markus Clouser 10:44, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Erm... what does lenin mean? i have no idea --Frozen Ice Prince 09:05, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- I fail to see the resemblance.--Master Briar 09:08, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Small Suggestion[edit]
According to the page it has a link to Master Botah which states that Master Togo took over after him. Why not (I don’t have the skills for this, but) make a page for Master Khan in the first dialogue in the monastery overlook? --Pudz 11:51, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
Togo Staves[edit]
Has anyone else noticed how Togo seems to be constantly switching between various staves, one of which is a necromancer's Wicked Staff? Ahaceleb Tirisfaell 00:21, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Trivia[edit]
Golgo 13 (Golgotha the location of Jesus' cruxifiction) the legendary assassin, a.k.a. Duke Togo a possible inspiration for Master Togo/Factions? After all, there's a merchant named Golgo at the Tahnnakai Temple as well. Golgo 13 series intro youtube - Ander01 13:26, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
- I do not know why he is named Togo, but the firs thing that comes to mind is the African country called Togo. --'Mai Yi' {TC} 13:34, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Togo, the Unwanted[edit]
I wish I could leave Togo and his useless sidekick Mehnlo outside when doing those stupid babysit missions in Factions. Talk about usekess Mission failed if they die and for a Monk and a Ritualist you'd think they'd at least know how to resurrect you after you wipe while babysit those clowns. They could at least heal the massive bruise I have on my forehead from beating it against the wall after they die AGAIN and make fail the mission AGAIN. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 101.119.14.143 (talk).
Forget a Rez, I dont believe I've ever seen Togo or his Protege throw a single useful spell, as best I can tell all these two backliners do is race to the front, exposing themselves to all manner of Mayhem and then uselessly Wand the Afflicted. With such Allies who needs Enemies. Hopefully the Devs wont burnden the players with such baggage in GW2 as I expect they wont ever make the simple patch and point these twos behavior routine to that of an appropriate Henchie, as its surely a simple property adjustment in programing terms. --Blackbirdx61 21:52, 5 February 2013 (UTC)
Tahnnakai Temple Dialogue[edit]
Does anyone else agree that it might be worth mentioning that Togo's dialogue as a ghost in Tahnnakai Temple does not vary whether the character is from Factions or from any other campaign, and thus didn't actually canonically travel with him to Minister Cho like he says? -«troy.frostwind» 00:17, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Worst ally ever[edit]
Gameplay wise this faggot has go to be the worst. Rurik at least dies early. Kormir can't die. But this bald ass just follows you through the entire campaign like cancer. I was in heaven when he finally got killed, thank you Shiro. He's a level 20 on the newbie island, but has shit armor so he's completely useless. I thought when I saw a lvl 20 in a newbie mission filled with lvl 4-5 mobs that he's gonna run the mission for me and actually be a useful ally for once, but nope. He's another piece of shit of he dies, I lose tradition. At least Mhenlo can heal himself. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 188.26.145.143 (talk) at 23:01, 16 January 2015 (UTC).
