Factions[edit]

- Has an IAS stance.
- Has effective adrenal attack skills.
- Since Talon is not a human, disease is mitigated.
- Cons
- Cannot block, has limited defensive skills.
- Cannot maintain his IAS stance.
- Healing Signet lowers armor during activation; which he will use whenever he takes more than 10% damage.
Eye of the North[edit]
- Pros
- Has an excellent mix of offensive and defensive skills.
- Can inflict conditions with ease.
- Quite durable due to his defensive skills and Healing Signet.

- Since Talon is not human, skills like Edge of Extinction are mitigated; however, Edge of Extinction will affect him when killing Tengu.
- Cons
- His damage is greatly reduced against non-fleshy opponents (e.g. skeletons and most elementals).
- Spreads disease due to bug.
Dialogue[edit]
Factions[edit]
- Sunqua Vale (to Factions warrior characters)
- "Greetings, human. I am Talon Silverwing of the Tengu, I will train you in the art of combat. Someday, if you work very hard, you might become as great of a Warrior as my good friend, Headmaster Zhan."
- Sunqua Vale (to Factions non-warrior characters)
- "A human, eh? Hmph. I am Talon Silverwing of the Tengu. I provide combat training to students who aspire to become great Warriors."
- Sunqua Vale (to non-Factions characters)
- "I am afraid I cannot help you. You are not a student here. And do not bother trying to become one... the honor is reserved for Canthans."
- Monastery Overlook
- "Now is not the time to talk. Please concentrate on your studies."
- Kinya Province
You show great courage for a human.
- Jaya Bluffs
No time for talking, human.
- Zen Daijun
- "Together we will stand against these twisted creatures, we must prevail. What did you need from me?"
- Kaineng City towns and outposts
- "There is little love for those of my kind in this place, yet I am here to help save them all. To those who matter, actions speak louder than words and my actions shall echo across this city for eternity until all recognize the honor of the Tengu race.
- What did you need?"
- Raisu Palace
- "Relations between Canthans and the Tengu have always been strained, even hostile, at times. By saving the emperor's life, perhaps I will inadvertently save the lives of some young Tengu Warriors."
- Shall I come with you and help save the emperor?
- Divine Path
- "Your name will live forever in the songs of the Tengu."
- The Jade Sea towns and outposts
- "I gave my word to accompany you on this task. I will do whatever is necessary to cure this land of what ails it.
- What did you need from me?"
Eye of the North[edit]
- Far Shiverpeaks towns and outposts
- "My people tell tales of the day when we will be free, when our lands will be revealed by a heavenly star and rise. When that day comes, human, only then will our races live in peace."
- Doomlore Shrine
- "Humans believe they are the only intelligent race. They are wrong. I wish I could teach them to open their eyes, but as the saying goes, "There are those who can awaken, and those who are doomed to sleep."
- Tarnished Coast towns and outposts
- "Hail, friend. Do you need assistance? My sword is faster than the zephyr wind of my people. I am here to help."
- Central Transfer Chamber
- "I cannot bear these underground passages, so dank and stale. The wind does not move. How can anything that lives down here be civilized?"
- Epilogue
- "As always, it has been my honor to fight beside you."
Bonus Mission Pack[edit]
- The Tengu Accords, before act II
- "I am Talon Silverwing of the Angchu. We have come to see if you humans truly wish for peace. Honor is our code. If your intentions are true, perhaps we can put this fight behind us. Cross us and we shall bury you."
- Tell me your view on the Tengu Wars.
- "Understand me, human: we are a valiant race, and are not to be trifled with. If you dare terrorize, deceive or oppress us, we will fight you with every weapon we possess. If you truly have honor in your heart, you will negotiate with us as equals."
- The Tengu Accords act II, while fighting
- "Stand down, human. Tengu do not need your featherless hides in the way!"
- The Tengu Accords act II, after the fight
- "I've witnessed human behavior in my travels. Your species rarely elicits the quality of trust."
Quotes[edit]
Factions[edit]
- Shing Jea Island
- "During the war I killed many Canthan warriors, and saw many of my own people cut down. That was all on the field of battle but this plague is something entirely different. Whoever is responsible must be made to pay for their crimes."
- "I hope that Aerie is safe."
- Kaineng City
- "I despise wasted opportunity. We should get going."
- "I miss the lush green lands of Shing Jea Island."
- "We attract attention standing around here so long."
- The Jade Sea
- "Shiro threatens the lives of all Canthans. He must be stopped."
- "The only way to stop Shiro is to sow more destruction. How ironic."
- "Why do you stare, human? Have you not seen a Tengu before?"
Eye of the North[edit]
- "All this waiting, and for what?"
- "Don't bother me. I'm contemplating victory."
- "I long to see Aerie."
- "Sure. You do that."
- "We should move. Idle wings attract evil claws."
Battle quotes[edit]
Factions[edit]
- "Death from above!"
- "Fighting you is my duty. Killing you is my honor."
- "For the Aerie!"
- "I may grant you a quick death."
- "Taste my steel, or perhaps my claws!"
- "You can do better than that!"
- "You can't defeat a Tengu that easily!"
- "You'll have to try harder!"
- "You've ruffled my feathers!"
- "Your death will be swift."
- "Your heart may still beat, fiend, but that will soon be remedied."
- "Beak, meet face!"
Eye of the North[edit]
- "Beak, meet face."
- "Claw, meet flesh."
- "Die with dignity already!"
- "Ever see a Tengu that could take a bite out of you?"
- "How do you want to die? Slowly or painfully?"
- "Let the Tengu soar, like they've never soared before..."
- "Out of my way, humans. There's killing to be done!"
- "Razor talons and silver wings."
- "Talon is my name. Shredding is my game."
- "That's the last egg you'll ever lay."
- "The vultures will enjoy what's left of you."
- "There's a bull's-eye [sic] on your head."
- "This ends now!"
- "You just made your last mistake, fool."
Notes[edit]
- He wields a Katana and an Embossed Aegis.
Trivia[edit]
- His henchmen skill sets were changed in the October 22, 2009 update. As an ally in Raisu Palace, he uses the "Canthan mainland" skill set prior to that update.
- "Let the Tengu soar, like they've never soared before..." may be a reference to former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft's song "Let the Eagle Soar." It could also be a reference to Phantom of the Opera, "let my music soar, like it's never soared before..."
