Update[edit]
This template was update to get the newest update automatically, so no change should be needed from now. poke | talk 00:02, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- I am really curious abou this template, how does it know when to change and what the change to etc.? I look in the source code but there was almost nothing there I understand. Lyra Valo 14:32, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's grabbing the first header on the game updates page and pulls the date from it. I think. - HeWhoIsPale 15:06, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Can we make it so it says "The latest [[Game updates|game update]] was..."? Sometimes it's handy to look at all the latest updates at once (especially when there's updates two or three days in a row). 69.109.189.35 00:08, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- There is a link to the game updates on the Main Page, and the "Guild Wars news" link on the left contains the newest update too. poke | talk 00:18, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see any harm in doing so. A fair few people use the template on their userpages and it's also on RC, so we can't assume someone is always on the main page when viewing the template. Adding a link from this template to the main update page would mean fewer clicks needed (and Poke - the Guild Wars news link contains only the newest update, not all the (latest) updates). Just to point out, though, that the image redirects to Game updates, but that isn't altogether obvious. -- Brains12 \ talk 12:51, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Parentheses[edit]
any change the parentheses could be removed from the year? They seem a bit out of place. horrible | contribs 01:03, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- I suggest we change it to match the format used on the current patch notes, namely
D MMMM, YYYY
. They stopped including the day of the week within the section titles in 2018. -Chieftain Alex 09:55, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
