Earth Magic[edit]
Magnetic Aura[edit]
Current:[edit]
Proposed:[edit]
145.94.74.23's Proposal[edit]
- 5 1 10 Enchantment Spell. (1...6...7 seconds.) Target ally has a 50% chance to block melee attacks.
- For pretty much the same reasons as Swirling Aura. It will also make it a viable alternative to the other anti-melee skills that Earth Magic already has. Will be balanced compared to Guardian or Weapon of Warding, because it is less powerful but saves attribute points. 145.94.74.23 11:40, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Boro's Proposal[edit]
- 5 2 20 Enchantment Spell. (1...10...12 seconds.) While you are enchanted by Magnetic Aura, all nearby allies have 50% chance to block.
- As a real aura it would help all nearby allies so it gives much more protection at the cost of positioning. Boro 14:00, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Ward Against Elements[edit]
Current:[edit]
- 15 1 20 Ward Spell. (8...18...20 seconds.) Allies in this ward have +24 armor against elemental damage. Spirits are unaffected.
Proposed:[edit]
145.94.74.23's Proposal[edit]
- 10 1 20 Ward Spell. (8...18...20 seconds.) Allies in this ward have +30 armor against elemental damage. Spirits are unaffected.
- The current Ward Against Elements is outclassed by Ebon Battle Standard of Courage, which provides the same amount of armor for less energy, no attribute investment and against all types of damage. In PvP, the skill is also deemed undesirable, partly because it's energy cost is too high for its effect (and most don't consider the effect worth a skill slot in the first place). The suggestion lowers the energy cost to fit the power of the effect and the small armor buff will give it at least some advantage over Ebon Battle Standard of Courage. For PvP, it will partly answer the much heard complaint that caster damage is too high; while it's certainly not enough to fix that problem, it will at least be a start. 145.94.74.23 12:06, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
