Tactics[edit]
Deflect Arrows[edit]
Current:[edit]
- 5 10 Stance. (1...7...8 seconds.) You have 75% chance to block projectile attacks. Ends if you hit with an attack.
Proposed:[edit]
Raine's Proposal:[edit]
- 5 10 Stance. (1...4...5 seconds.) Whenever you would be hit by a projectile attack, a random nearby creature is hit by that attack instead.
- It wasn't terrible before, unless it was compared to Disciplined Stance. In this form, it "blocks off" all ranger interrupts (even Magebane), Burning Arrows, Stunning Strikes, and wanding. It has the added benefit (or potential drawback) of causing the projectiles to hit nearby foes (or allies), which encourages good positioning. Raine - talk 03:07, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
PoA's Proposal[edit]
- 5 10 Stance. (1...6...7 seconds.) You have a 75% chance to block projectile attacks. Whenever you would block a projectile attack, a random nearby foe is hit by that attack for 50...26...20% less damage.
- A variation of Raine's proposal. It provides the ability to still block without blocking all of them for 1...4...5 seconds. The damage reduction is there to keep things a little more balanced. --Antioch 18:47, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Healing Signet[edit]
Current[edit]
Proposed[edit]
- 1, 4 Signet. You gain 60...132...150 Health. You have -40 armor while using this skill.
- This skill was useless in all PvP formats because of it's long casting time. If a warrior ever used it against good teams he was screwed. By reducing the healing and the activation time, I hope that this skill may find some use. Boro 08:48, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Protector's Defense[edit]
Current:[edit]
Proposed:[edit]
Raine's Proposal:[edit]
- 5 20 Skill. (5...13...15 seconds.) Target ally and all adjacent allies have 75% chance to block attacks. Ends for each ally if that ally is not near you. Block effect: you lose 30...14...10 Health. Cannot self-target.
- This skill previously had the debilitating drawbacks of ending on movement and a having a terribly long recharge. The new function allows movement, so long as the user maintains a "nearby" proximity to those he or she is attempting to protect, and has a maintainable uptime. The life-loss (specifically not damage to prevent abuse with such things as Healing Seed) clause has been added both for flavor (it goes with the theme of self-sacrifice in the act of protecting others) and for balance reasons. Raine - talk 04:03, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Shove[edit]
Current:[edit]
- 5 ¾ 20 Elite Skill. Target touched foe is knocked down and takes 15...63...75 damage. Lose all Adrenaline. All of your other non-attack skills are disabled for 10...6...5 seconds.
Proposed:[edit]
Planeshift's Proposal[edit]
- 5 ¾ 20 Elite Touch Skill. Target touched foe is knocked down and takes 15...63...75 damage. All of your other non-attack skills are disabled for 7...3...2 seconds.
- This skill was clearly useless for a warrior, due to the complete loss of your adrenaline - the only interesting follow-up would be a lonely Crushing Blow or, even more laughable, Belly Smash. Moreover, the disabling of all other non-attack skills would force user to energy attack skills, if he wants to follow up with something. However, running this on a assassin is clearly a bad idea with the current skills (there are a lot more viable options, plus your enemy can run from you while you are shoving it). Removing the loss of adrenaline would make warriors able to use this skill efficiently. I reduced the disable time so the skill is still viable with the so usual 8 in tactics, the disabling drawback becoming just a potent anti-"kd spam". Oh, and it becomes a Touch skill, because I think you need to TOUCH someone to shove him. Planeshift 17:23, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Mally'x Proposal[edit]
5 ¾ 20 Elite Touch Skill. Target foe and up to one other adjacent foe are knocked down and take (current damage).
- Signet of Judgment is still better. Ranged, same recharge, no energy, no skill disable. This makes it competitive at least in PvE.
