Yeah. Go to My Preferences in the top right corner. Check the Raw Signatures box, and insert the signature code in the box above it. Then, signing with 4 tildes (~) will give [[Image:User-Wandering Traveler Sig.png]] [[User:Wandering Traveler|Wandering Traveler]]. Calor 22:29, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Comfort Animal

Rampage as One Rangers are the only things that use pets in high level pvp, the only reason they bring Comfort Animal is so they can follow it with RaO, without regard for keeping their pet alive (if the pet dies too quickly after a res, nothing gets disabled.) The blackout I want to put on comfort would prevent those builds from being able to shrug off their pets as "extra baggage," and instead force them to actively heal their pets. Ok since I prolly won't be on at that time here's a couple of tips :P

*Durations and maximums enclosed with brackets have periods outside of the parenthesis' unless it's at the beginning of the skill. This is commonly seen in stances and preparations.

*Show preview first to make sure no brackets and what not are out of place.

*When a condition is inflicted via a skill its in past tense or present (i.e. Inflicts Poisoned/Crippled or Burning/Blindness)

that 'perverted' story

Not to cause more trouble, but I have a complaint about your complaints regarding the story on grinsh (or whatever)'s user page and now on his friend's. Namely, I think labeling it 'perverted' muddles the issue, since you're then branding anyone who supports it (though presumably for reasons of freedom rather than a particular liking of the story) a pervert as well. This isn't conducive to a reasonable discussion on the issue. If you find the story off color or what have you, that's fine, but I don't think the pejorative language is helpful. (though I suppose if you see no redeeming value to it or the freedom to post it, then that's your call. Personally, though, I'm a policy-libertarian). - THARKUN 05:14, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Yay, a policy! How does it differ from the user policy? The justification given by Brains when he wiped the page and issued the warning was that it fit within the 'offensive' clause of the userpage policy. While I personally don't think its a big deal - as you can always stop reading, and the content is pretty clear early on - I also fail to see the need for a policy to cover this specific issue... unless you insist on absolute policy literalism and deny admin interpretation of existing rules. (then again, we can debate this on the policy talk page too if you prefer) - THARKUN 05:22, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I don't know.. I think the reasoning is there if one wants to find it. I just think the first admin or two on the case didn't want to act. At least, that was my impression from the logs and from reading the policy. Is just a matter of policy lawyering. Current policies (and GFDL) would be put at troubles if one were to remove content just because someone doesn't like it, so the "offensive" part has to be called, but that does require the case to be reviewed by a sysop who thinks the content may be deemed offensive. A different case is if Emmily confirms that the Rules of Conduct for Guild Wars (and its websites) are to be followed by this site. I got jaw surgery to fix my massive lower jaw overbite. there were some complications in it (namely muscle spasms that kept ripping off the rubber bands), but they were able to get through with it. right now its pure hell, because I can barely talk and can only have liquids for 10 weeks. but hopefully it'll fix what was wrong >.< -- Wandering Traveler 02:42, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

The image I have in my first message uses this code [[:Image:User Shadowsin Sockpuppet.jpg]]. mmk, your best bet is to take a look at the image policy. that will tell you how to upload them. As for the screenshots, you want to just upload one, because there is a way to change the size within the wiki. You are not one. Please don't act like it. Friendly, one-time reminders to other users are fine; if you see policy violation, leave a short note saying "hey, are you aware of this policy?" and leave it at that. This, for example, is passable. The last line is unnecessary, and probably just encourages further trolling, but the idea in general is good. Then you post this, which is anything but good. It's not your job to request he remove things from his userspace, nor to tell him to do it quickly. Also, since you lack the ability to block, telling him of impending danger (a possible block that may or may not come, based on how other sysops see it) is a bad idea as well; basically, it's an empty threat. At best, a bluff. Either way, try to avoid comments like that in the future.
Again (I can't stress this enough), friendly reminders are awesome. They let people know you're there and you care. They also quite often educate unknowing users of policies. Hypercam isnt too hard to use, but its a pain in the butt if you have a slow computer (like me >.<). Just install the demo, tell it to play, then have a recording of your music up. Or use an alternate method. I just did one on Windows Movie Maker with some GW screenshots I had on archive. Its uploading to youtube as we speak, so you can probably see it there soon. Hello. How hard is it to learn Latin? It's my aspiration see, and I was wandering if you had any tips to make it easier?

Latin isnt too hard, but the concepts are very difficult to memorize. For example, the vocabulary is not very hard to learn, mainly because the english language has derived from latin. However, a lot of the endings that determine things like tense, person, case, number, gender....those are a pain in the butt to memorize XD. I reccomend you take a latin course before trying to do any work on your own, just to get the basic idea down. Please, I need help! In my semi wiki-n00b life, it seems i neglected to learn how to change the color of things like userboxes, sigs, etc. Help would be appreciated. Mmk. The userbox code will give you parameters for colors. Lets look at one of mine, for example.

|{{userbox :| id-c = maroon :| info-c = darksalmon :| id = [[Image:User Lensor CanthaMissionIcon.png]] :| info = This user is a '''[[Cantha|Canthan]]''' at heart!<br>

What happened here is the ID-C parameter and the INFO-C parameter. I set ID-C = maroon, which set the userbox backround to be maroon. This is the same for INFO-C. INFO-C however, will change the border of the image.

As for signatures, its rather difficult. I can give you the basic coding for a signature such as yours. Here.....

User:Mcdetr|<font color="blue">Mcdetr</font>

This would give a signature like this: --Mcdetr

See what happened? I set the font color parameter to "red", so it tinted it red.

Remember when...

I said norton sucked blah blah blah? Well I'm trying avast! again and the Avist skin is working for me :). I would be using AVG atm but..well rootkits...:(. But you use ZA? Sunbelt personal firewall is much better (it helps to block ads,cookies,NIPS,HIPS..), plus ZA is conflict after conflict. As well the <50 days left of norton have just made me go free XD. Avast likes to hog startup (scanning) so it might be a problem for vista, but its better then AVG (only protection wise may I add). Well paying for anti-virus's can be good. If there's a outbreak the software will automatically relay the infected file so a definition can come out fast (SONAR in norton is perfect at this). Faster updates, they usually have cleanup tools and other performance fixers (Norton 360/Onecare etc). Support right there...when you need them. Subst'ing doesn't leave the template code in there, it actually replaces (substitutes) the {{subst:Unsigned|blah blah}} with the code in the unsigned template. This is basically useful because the unsigned template is used so often, so if it were to be changed, it would have to update every single page it's used on, which would add to server strain. Hmm, your signature looks fine to me. You have been signing with four tildes? It should come up like the one you posted...if not, make sure the "Raw Signatures" checkbox is checked. That should do it. And to your other question: You'll have to upload any images you want to use on the wiki. To conform to GWW:IMAGE, you'll have to name it under the format [[User:Username/Image]]. Haloween

Are you going to be on, on Halloween? As well...GW/GWW is no longer worth it. To many assholes, to many OM*G people, and its time to move on. So...well Halloween maybe my last GW holiday. The only thing that could change it is if this months update kills off the GW population and starts a brand new one again. (Fun and happy days>full miserable guild).
