Suggestions[edit]
It doesn't matter who you talked to, the fact is that suggestions belong in the suggestions section. In fact, the suggestions pages were created specifically because people were posting too many suggestions on ArenaNet employee talk pages, causing them to be cluttered. And like I said, if you're allowed to run things by Linsey, why can others with their suggestions? Why not, you say? Because then we'll end up where we started before the suggestions section was created. No one's moved it thus far because it's considered rude to the person who owns the talk page as well as the original poster. As a responsible GWWikier, though, you could have moved it right after you were informed it was in the wrong place. You say you're still not sure where it belongs, even though several people have now told you that Linsey's talk page is most definitely where it doesn't belong. Kokuou 05:49, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Because, frankly, I don't have any idea who you are besides a user with a registered account (The same goes for every other person who's made that suggestion, they all have it in common -- whoops, missed an anon saying it. Same difference though since it's not hard to have an account, even I have one). If an admin of the wiki or someone else with more authority than me (ie, direct ArenaNet employee *particularily* Linsey herself though any would do) says to do it, I'll get right on it. Until then, I'm waiting for that feedback. -Binary 06:28, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- You're misinformed. No one user on this wiki, even the employees of ArenaNet themselves, have more authority than anyone else. That's what a wiki is; things are decided based upon a consensus (note that this doesn't mean "majority" or "vote"). Administrators and sysops here have a few extra tools that allow them to keep the wiki organized, and bureaucrats help iron out issues such as user disputes when there is no alternative, but every single user, registered or anonymous, has equal say and rights here, as on any other wiki. So waiting for what Linsey thinks really has no bearing on where your suggestion belongs as she doesn't have "final say" on anything that relates to content organization. Kokuou 08:10, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- ...For the records, I hadn't even read your section above mine on Linsey's page. The fact it's a suggestion is just a coincidence. Erasculio 11:10, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry to have misinterpreted your post, the timing just seemed extremely suspicious given a bunch of other users that kept asking the same thing (Usually right below where I'd explained myself) without responding to anything I'd said. -Binary 17:18, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- If I have really equal rights and say to you, then I shouldn't be letting myself get railroaded on where something goes just by a few people that think it's wrong. It isn't necessarily even a matter of "authority" directly (So I'm sorry if that word was a poor choice) for why I'd listen to an admin over a regular user, but more of trust: Anyone, regardless of their maturity, can have an account and tell someone to do something. If someone is an admin (Or ArenaNet employee, sysop, bcrat)) I can be much more certain that they're not just trying to bully me based on their opinion of something. In the case of the talk page, no, Linsey doesn't have more say over where most things go for content organization, except that it's her talk page and she should have more say on how she wants to receive thoughts about the game via it than other people do. Given that it's people talking to her, and all. -Binary 17:16, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- I give up; you obviously don't understand the fundamentals of a wiki. The suggestions pages were created because there was a problem with people posting too many suggestions on dev pages, the very thing you are doing. If you can't trust other users, then maybe, I don't know, you have trust issues and should work on that. Most, if not all, of the people telling you that your suggestion is in the wrong place are established wiki contributors, and you still refuse to follow wiki policy. At this point you sound like a child who just wants their opinion to be heard over everyone else's. Kokuou 20:49, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Could you provide a link to the wiki policy page you're referring to? Mortimer 02:35, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- I don't mean policy in terms of an official policy (perhaps it wasn't the best word), but there is a consensus on the wiki that suggestions go on the suggestions page(s). You can see it in the information boxes at the tops of this page and this one. After all, what's the point of these pages if people start posting suggestions all over the place? The fact that Binary first posted the suggestion on Linsey's page isn't an issue; I admit that some things can be confusing for new users. It's the fact that s/he refuses to move the suggestion after repeatedly being informed that Linsey's page isn't for making suggestions, supposedly because of trust issues (?), even though you should assume good faith in other posters. Kokuou 05:21, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think anybody's assuming that you're acting in bad faith, just that you're possibly incorrect. I don't see what the big deal is. If Linsey has a problem with suggestions on her talk page she'll say so, and that'll be the end of it. Mortimer 06:31, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- It was Binary that wasn't assuming good faith in the rest of the users trying to give him/her information. And making more work for Linsey, who is already busy on the GW Live team, is hardly efficient wiki practice, hence Erasculio's subsequent section on asking if she wanted help or not. Kokuou 06:43, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- Given that the general quality of people telling me to move it left messages along the lines of "You suck your idea sucks move it." I'm not quite sure what's been done that would have any good faith built up for them. Yes, you're an exception (And Erasculio apparently isn't even talking about my suggestion directly) but that doesn't change that you're in agreement with a bunch of people that are coming across primarily as trolls, and I'm extremely hesitant to trust their opinions on where things should be. Oh, and I note another suggestion has popped up on the talk page just today. I await people saying it too should be moved. (Bias against just my suggestion most definitely does not impress me about people's "good faith", either.) -Binary 19:38, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

asfd[edit]

Not a bad build, do you have any comments on it? -Auron 02:15, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- Wow, Auron failed at asdf. That's pretty pro. -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 04:21, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- Saw some interesting things, so I put up a wall of text. I suspect the claim of being able to apply max degen to the entire enemy team is a bit exaggerated. I'll be able to check that with some testing later, though.-Binary 17:53, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
