Hello, fighterdoken, and welcome to the Official Guild Wars Wiki! If you need help with anything, please feel free to add a message to my talk page. I highly recommend that you check out the "Welcome to the wiki" page - it's extremely useful as an initial guide. Best of luck and happy editing! --§ Eloc § 00:19, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Price research for runes/insignias
All unidentified rune prices are 25g I believe, if that helps you any.--§ Eloc § 13:55, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Yup, but that section is just to confirm that the data is acurate... (if someone puts a non-25 value in there, then that data input may be excluded :P)--Fighterdoken 16:56, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
and all runes have the same rarity as their source items. - Y0_ich_halt 19:39, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Same as before... one has to put a bit of redundant information if he wants to be sure the info is right... :)--Fighterdoken 20:26, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- ...k... xD - Y0_ich_halt 20:41, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- And if you want people to contribute, perhaps it would be better to make a subpage of that research in your namespace (User:Fighterdoken/Price research on runes and insignia?). Edits by others on the main userpages flag most sysops. -- (CoRrRan / talk) 20:11, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- *Goes and ninja CoRrRan's idea* (i mean, not like anyone will help, and not like i will finish someday with a 1000+ entries sample, but if changing the page every 5 mins shoots an alarm, then it must be done :P)--Fighterdoken 23:08, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, it's not that that will happen very fast :-), but it's just that I always check main userpages when edits are done by someone else. -- (CoRrRan / talk) 23:14, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- I've tested it for some time: All unidentified UPGRADES: 25g. Identified upgrades: From a Blue item: 26..50g. From a purple item: 26..100g. From a gold item: 26..150g. Yup, the system for prices is the same for both armor and weapon upgrades. MithTalk 12:43, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- That doesn't seem consistent with the data i have gathered so far. Blue upgrades coming from any rarity of item (weapons included) are at 26..50g, Purple runes would be at 52..100g so far, and gold runes at 104..200g. I still need confirmation for the max-value on purple and golds, and in any case haven't seen only once a purple or gold bellow the price i state here.--Fighterdoken 17:47, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry
It just occurred to me that I was very rude to you. I edited your comment on Help:Ask a game question as you had sever and gash reversed. I'm sorry about that, but my neurosis overcomes my social sense sometimes. - HeWhoIsPale 22:08, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

On a side note, you really should check people's edits historial before giving "helpful advices" (just to check if it was a mistake or lack of knowledge, i mean)... i think i can guess why so many people are getting on their nerves lately. Is easier to just fix the mistake silently instead of giving the change for starting a discution, as stated somewhere out there :) --Fighterdoken 06:32, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Talk Pages Archive
Hey Fighterdoken, just got round to reading policy on user talk pages (after spending time looking for the thing), and yeah, I see the error of my ways though I don't understand what harm could be done be deleting a welcome message to me. Well, this is basically to say thanks for been polite and it won't happen again. Draco 16:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think the same, but since the policy is still there, it has to be followed. In any case, there is a proposal for allowing deletion of certain items without need to archive them (like those welcome messages), so it may be a matter of time.--Fighterdoken 16:49, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- No one deletes my welcomes! :P — ク Eloc 貢 00:24, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

- Wow, you sure did your research :P. Also, welcomes have nothing to do with Beaurocrat or Sysop. I'm just being nice by welcoming people. :P — ク Eloc 貢 17:42, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Nah, had i done the research, i would have found the page with the "i am having fun with all this" comment after some suspicious argument, but i am too lazy for it.--Fighterdoken 18:37, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

I saw you tagged for speedy del cos its vandalism but I thought might be worth making a redirect to the real page. Failed abysmally and I'm too wiki-noob to understand why. Cassie 22:48, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
- The redirect is working fine here... maybe just a cache issue with your browser? In any case yes, a redirect may be a better idea.--Fighterdoken 22:50, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

- Just to settle this... No i didn't vote against because it's Eloc. I voted against because i don't feel Eloc's contributions since the last RfA/RfB are within what i would like to see from someone with admin powers (and i am not talking about content contributions here). Progress has been made since the "welcome template" and the "i have over 9000 contributions" times, sure, but there is still room for improvement... a lot...--Fighterdoken 06:51, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Editing my alliance pages
Why did you go through and edit all my alliance guilds to remove my template? — Rappy 00:27, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm guessing it was to get any red links off Special:Wantedpages and to be the same as the recently modified alliance nav. -- Brains12 \ Talk 00:30, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- That was the main reason, but only because of the "transclusion" thing-a-majumbo on the guild policy. If i got it right, guild pages are not supposed to use templates from outside the Template: namespace. In any case, the change should be easy to revert if i made a mistake.--Fighterdoken 00:33, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- I would have rather been informed that alliance nav was changed and allowed to do the edits myself... also, I created the template because at the time, my alliance was going through a lot of temporary guilds, and editing 9-10 pages alliance nav templates got old, so I created ONE template to do the work of 9. So if there is no objection, I will change my template to allieviate the red links and utilize if exists and place them back on those pages. — Rappy 00:37, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- So put it in the guild space instead? ;) — Galil 00:49, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Was thinking the same (because none has said yet that i got wrong what "transclude" meant :P)--Fighterdoken 02:16, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Transclude is right in the aspect you are thinking... mainly means 'linking' to a page that is not in it's own namespace or whatever, but a template is a template no matter where it is, it really doesn't make sense to me as to how the specific 'location' makes any difference at all. — Rappy 02:25, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Also, User:Rappy/Alliance has been changed to impliment {{ifexists}} and will no longer litter Special:Wantedpages — Rappy 02:28, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ow, i see (even though wording says namespace, but we know wording and what it means are not related XD). Actually i though about changing the template on your userpage, but since that would actually have been more invasive, decided to change the guild pages instead.--Fighterdoken 02:32, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) Actually, it means more like "including a text in another, as an instance instead of copying". Anyway, I'd agree that there's no solid reason for you to move it. I'd never tell people to follow policies to the letter and as long as you have a good reason to have it they way you have it, then I have no reason to tell you not to. As an OOP-programmer, I can't help thinking that it doesn't belong anywhere other than the Guild namespace though, but that's just me. :P — Galil 02:34, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Well as I said, I find myself the most active on the wiki out of my alliance, and find myself fixing the Alliance navs on my guilds respective pages. I created the template in my namespace and not in the Template: namespace as to not clutter it more than it is. I make one change in my template and it updates on 9 pages... so I'd really like to add it back. Takes up one spot in RC rather than 9-10 if we make alliance changes. — Rappy 02:37, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- I thought it was something like that, but my point was that you could have made it at Guild:Avatars Of Melandru/Alliance or Guild:Gods Of Deaths Sanctuary/Alliance (seeing as they're your alliance leaders) instead. Not gonna argue though, but I got the impression you misunderstood me, as Fighterdoken didn't quote the entire line in the policy. You are also allowed to transclude pages from the Guild namespace. — Galil 02:41, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

you do have a good point we'll have to figure out how to show what each collector offers, but I do think it would be best to do that on the collectors page to keep the original ones as simple as they can be thank --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Jonysmokes (talk).

Why..
Do you honestly care whats in peoples userspace? There is an X in the corner of your page for a reason, for that matter theres a green arrow that magically takes you away. Is GWW that immature? Sure the story was sexually explicit but it was funny, Dont read it if you dont want to, but dont get all offended when you decide to chance it.--Shadowsin 03:39, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- So you want reasons beyond the fact that the OP wasn't posting on his own talk page and was just trolling on someone elses with random garbage and also that at that time he was circumventing a ban which had already been placed on his account? You mean apart from all that right? -- Salome 03:48, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- Simple. Cookies have to stay in the cookies section. Poison rat on the poison rat section. I don't want cookies on my poison rat. (Meaning, this wiki is for documenting GW, not every thing that comes up into existence). I can't (because of lack of policies and pants) fight against everything that is not GW related, but i can at least try to get content that Anet wouldn't want on their sites out of here also. Plus, i don't get the last saying in anything.--Fighterdoken 04:30, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
