Hell Nirvana[edit]
Could you please sign as your username Jope12, instead of as Hell Nirvana please? The signature policy says you have to either sign as your full name, or a shortened version of it. If you want to use a shortened version (like just Jope or something), then you need to register that account name and redirect it here. More details can be found on the above link. -- br12 • (talk) • 15:52, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

User Boxes[edit]
Fixed them for you, with one small change. Your sandbox user box directed to my sandbox, so I had it redirect to a new page where you can make yours. Hope you like it. — Wolf 00:29, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Question[edit]
There's a problem with image redirects (in that they're not working). The techies are trying to find a solution. For future reference, you can ask questions at Help:Ask a wiki question. -- Brains12 \ talk 01:25, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Image tagging[edit]
If you are going to be adding tags to images, could you also fix the {{user image}} tag to include the username? Seems a waste to have to go back and do it later. -- Wyn talk 23:14, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

some of the image moves[edit]
still have links to the older pages. Don't tag a page for speedy deletion until the links are fixed, since it is not an "unnecessary redirect" until there are no such links. I don't even know what project you're doing this for, but someone overlooked some important stuff. You might want to bring it up on that project page before continuing tagging redirects for deletion. -Auron 13:03, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- We had multiple discussions before, that we don't fix signature images if the image name is outdated or the image no longer exists, so please don't do it. poke | talk 14:53, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Why did you move that to Zora's userpage? I thought that he/she uploaded that for the inventory icon of the staff.... Correct me if Im wrong =) |Cyan LightLive!| 19:45, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Just curious?[edit]
I saw you'd edited a couple pictures I put up for my characters, and I was wondering what exactly it was you did, and what it adds to the functionality of the wiki, so I can replicate it on any other pictures I add and save you (or whoever else does these things) the work? And also understand what it is I'm doing. And, I really hope I made sense. ‹Lady Chani› 22:54, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- I added your username in {{user image}}, in your case {{user image|Lady Chani}}. Doing this on any user image makes that image categorized by username. - J.P.Talk 23:02, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- I see! Thank you for explaining it to me. I very much appreciate it, and will try to remember to do that in the future. ‹Lady Chani› 23:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
When uploading a new image[edit]
Is there a way to program the user name in the {{username|______}}? Since most, if not all people are logged in when they upload images, wouldn't it be possible to code it in a way like {{username| {{SUBST:Current_Login_Name}} }}? (Sorry if I'm not clear :( ) File:User Moo KittyMoo.jpg 16:37, 8 July 2009
- No it's not currently possible. - J.P.Talk 16:38, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm asking if it'd be implament-able (is that a word?) File:User Moo KittyMoo.jpg 16:39, 8 July 2009
- It's actually being looked into, and yes, eventually I believe it will be possible. There are just a few other things that are higher priority atm. -- Wyn talk 09:52, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
moving images[edit]
You don't need to rename images simply to correct capitalization of usernames. You are creating a lot of unnecessary redirects. -- Wyn talk 09:51, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well i also fix the links on them and mark them for deletion after that. I must say i'm a bit of a perfectionist. This is just what i am. I would do the deletion myself to save others for work. - J.P.Talk 09:56, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Please stop. Aiden uploaded the image and it only links to a page in HIS userpsace, I happen to know Nemis Troy, And that is NOT his image, it should not be named as his image, or tagged as his image. -- Wyn talk 10:12, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Why the sandbox is all about Nemis troy then? - J.P.Talk 10:14, 9 July 2009 (UTC)- Because Aiden was showing Troy something. You will notice that neither of the images are linked on any of Troy's pages. You can't just arbitrarily assign ownership of an image when it clearly points to being something different. -- Wyn talk 10:17, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Image name corrections[edit]
Sorry, I know you probably hate this subject now :P I just wanted to ask of you, could you put a clear descriptive edit summary when you are just fixing image names on pages? Its Shard's fault. I happen to catch the page between his editing. When I saw it, he had "I am the Strongest!", and changed it 30 seconds after. Erm...[edit]
Perhaps I'm lost to something privvy, but why reupload all those guild images? cropped or not, they're going to appear pretty much the same on guild pages, and from what I'm seeing its just spamming the upload log. Am I missing something obvious? -- Wandering Traveler 01:36, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- I do think that many uploaders, who have uploaded a screenshot with interfaces in that image, want those without interfaces. But what comes to that mass revert, i know it was a stupid move :S - J.P.Talk 01:42, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Could be. To me, it just seems that the general idea of what the uploader wants is already expressed in what they uploaded. I don't think theres anyone out there who can't figure out MS paint. :S -- Wandering Traveler 01:44, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- For me it looks like there is... - J.P.Talk 01:47, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- I was also curious why the upload/revert actions were taken. This only makes the issues with the image cache more pronounced. If you wish to crop an image for a guild, that's fine, but to then why revert it? -- Wyn talk 07:40, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Many times picture looked weird after upload, both the image and thumbnail in some cases and after dozens of refreshes, on file page though it showed the correct one on pages it linked to. I thought double revert was the answer to fix it, but i soon noticed it wasn't. As i said, it was a stupid move. - J.P.Talk 16:45, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- I would seriously suggest you purge your browser cache. By reuploading and reverting you are simply messing with the server image cache in instances where it isn't necessary. If you are having problems seeing a correct version of an image, post on the talk page and see if others are also experiencing the problem before reuploading. -- Wyn talk 17:32, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

I thought double revert was the answer to fix it, but i soon noticed it wasn't. As i said, it was a stupid move. - J.P.Talk 16:45, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- I was also curious why the upload/revert actions were taken. This only makes the issues with the image cache more pronounced. If you wish to crop an image for a guild, that's fine, but to then why revert it? -- Wyn talk 07:40, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- For me it looks like there is... - J.P.Talk 01:47, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Could be. To me, it just seems that the general idea of what the uploader wants is already expressed in what they uploaded. I don't think theres anyone out there who can't figure out MS paint. :S -- Wandering Traveler 01:44, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Jope[edit]
You are not an admin, and you did not have the right to redo the deletion of my own comment. I was perfectly entitled to revert my actions (read the reversion rules), since nobody had had the possibility to read my comment in the short time that it was on there. After all, it was a comment based on a misunderstanding from my part. Now, I am going to ask of you to let this rest. I am going to delete my comment, and I am asking you to leave it be, on ground of that it does not add anything to the wiki (or the community on here) at all. This is not trolling, nor is it vandalism, nor is it a breach of rules (read them very, very carefully). Nobody benifits from having wars on here, nobody benifits from having silly comments posted by mistake on here crossed out for whatever silly board rules sake - there's nobody going to lose any sleep over this. Are we okay now? 84.104.78.155 19:36, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- In Jope's defense, you're not allowed to remove any content from talk pages, EVER (except MINOR typos.). Assuming that's what you were talking about. Ryuu - talk 14:32, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- In my own defense, I am allowed to undo my own actions one time. And I did. In your assumptions, bear in mind that a comment based on a minor misread equals a minor typo. If you are linguistically inclined, that is. 84.104.78.155 15:12, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- You're mixing policies here. There are three policies that come into play, and you're only concentrating on the one revert policy, when others are considering the talk page policy and the deletion policy. Really, the deletion policy and talk page policy are at odds, I guess the general opinion is that the talk page policy takes precedence, but the one revert policy has little to do with this discussion. --Freedom Bound 15:17, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

sig image[edit]
Can you redirect your sig image to something other than your contributions please? When you redirect it to contributions, the only way to view it is by URL because it doesn't leave a link at the top saying "redirected from <x>". – Emmett 21:44, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- According to GWW:SIGN#Links, he can link it to wherever he likes as long as it's user-related. Just right click on the image, Copy link, and add
&redirect=no
. Titani Ertan {{Snappy the Turtle}} 21:48, 20 August 2009 (UTC)- Technically, it says that the image has to redirect to the userpage or talk. --67.240.83.137 21:55, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, if you look down a little further, under the images section, the image itself is supposed to map to either the user page or talk page. ---- FreedomBound 21:57, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

- We need more Wiki drama. Making people think is by far the best way to do it. Titani Ertan {{Snappy the Turtle}} 21:25, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I thought things like the feedback namespace etc have provided enough drama to last the next several years. In fact, didn't Anja post on her userpage that she thought that the wiki is so consumed with drama that she's considering leaving or something?... should be a pretty clear indicator that there's enough going on. – Emmett 21:27, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not a reader of policy talks or Sysop blah yada. And it's not disruptive; it's just... mandatory. It's a big red button that says "Don't Push Me", and under it in fine red print, it's stated (Oh yeah, there's cookies!). After you push the button you found out that the cookies were eaten, but you realize the point.
- Right? Titani Ertan {{Snappy the Turtle}} 21:30, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- If you choose not to involve yourself in other discussions about policy etc, then that is your own choice... it's not really fair to force even more drama upon those who do choose to participate in other wikidrama-inducing situations, who may already feel overwhelmed. It's like the decision made about GW2W: let's take each hurdle as it comes up, rather than trying to jump them all at once. – Emmett 21:41, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- But we need to know what will happen with the 2 guilds. We can explode if we won't know. Maybe we will. Titani Ertan {{Snappy the Turtle}} 21:43, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Like I said, if it becomes a problem, we will deal with it if/when it does become a problem... there are tons of theoretical arguments that could be started, and until they actually become relevant (such as, when an identically named guild appears- so far there is nothing to suggest that this is a pressing issue afaik) there's no reason to have them- if the decision never applies to anything, then it's just wasted time and space. – Emmett 21:46, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

(Reset indent) The need for touch is a significant development and distinction between Humans and other creatures. The developing of "Arms" was the big change that determined the fate of the Human race, as the Homo Homo Sapians (aka Humans) were able to build tools and mechanisems that helped them and made them superior to other beings. The needing of Touch is some sort of instict, as the urge to explore derives a human creature in daily life, and Touch is some form of perceiving the environment around an individual, just like Sight of Smell.

Zzz pointless corrections[edit]
Okay. Not that this is a huge deal or anything, but I invite you to read. here for the information regarding a G1. And here for information regarding a A1. The page is purely vandalism, so technically G1 would apply. There also isn't any appropriate information no that page, but there also isn't any "topic", so A1 (to a lesser extent), also applies. Also, it isn't a major deal to begin with. When a page is tagged for deletion, an admin will list the correct reasoning within the deleting summary, as long as it's tagged and it's viable for deletion and you use a generally correct speedy deletion tag, it's all good. About Rahse Windcatcher's location[edit]
I originally thought of cropping the existing picture, but wasn't sure about it due to copyright crap, so I took that screenshot you reverted, since Rahse only spawns in front of Durheim, never on the other location shown in the old ss. Razor39999 17:44, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

- Hm ok if you say so, but I've been trying today going out of Durheim and out of Amatz and got him in front of Durheim every single time, not once in front of Amatz (and since there were ppl posting the same on the boss' talk page I felt it was ok to change it). Would still prefer a ss of him there but k. Razor39999 17:58, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed some time back on the history of my User page, you redirected an image or something, I'm positive I don't use that Image anymore so if it is still around you can delete it, I'm not that savvy with the wiki. - Chrisworld 05:31, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not an admin so i can't delete anything. And i'm not sure what image you mean... - J.P.Talk 13:59, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Sept. 17 Update[edit]
I know that they are PvP updates. However, the skill icons are the same, no matter which version it is. Thrain | talk 00:48, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- But since the changes are about pvp, the links should be to pvp versions of those skills. - J.P.Talk 00:53, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Quest map image cleanup[edit]
Thanks for the housekeeping! Since I'm grotting through all of the quests (and locations, and missions…) anyway, is there anything I could be doing to help you out? --DryHumour 14:33, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

File names[edit]
(Move log); 16:53 . . Jope12 (Talk | contribs | block) moved File:Waeng map.jpg to File:Waeng location.jpg
I thought the former name was correct, i.e. File:NPC name map.jpg. A number of other moves look similarly unnecessary. Also, why are you uploading duplicates under other names instead of just using an existing file (File:Ratsu location.jpg, for example)? -- Brains12 \ talk 16:08, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- Also for the first part: Using the quest map is completely fine.. That's why we have the ability to set the map name manually in the npc infobox.. poke | talk 16:10, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- Why we have to upload the same old monster skill icon for each monster skill? I just like the idea of being able to know where an image is used just by looking at it's name. And having NPC location images named as File:<NPC> location.<extension> seems natural to me, as it shows the location. - J.P.Talk 16:15, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- Skill images are required because 1. all templates that create the icon with the name assume that the image exists and won't be able to parse (monster skill) or something out of it, and 2. a unique redirect is required on each skill icon to redirect to the correct skill page so you can click the icons.
- And what is unnatural about "map" when you see a map when you look at the image?
- Also moving this is really a bad idea; don't make the image names ambigous when you can add simple and useful information there.. poke | talk 16:23, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Ehmm... Can I ask you what you actually change to the images i've uploaded. I can't figure out what you changed to them :D -- Magamdy 11:10, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Errrm[edit]
Why are you uploading duplicate images of hero armor? It's not necessary. Unless you have a specific need for the naming format to be just "so" for a template etc. -- Wyn talk 14:06, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- Since almost all of the heroes got duplicate images just for armor gallery, i thought i could do it for the last few that were left. You can see what i mean if you check the hero armor galleries. - J.P.Talk 14:28, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- They don't need duplicate images. You also had no reason to remove the armor render tags off of them. They were all properly rendered images that Emily uploaded, I simply resized them for consistency. You are giving me gray hair I really don't need! -- Wyn talk 14:31, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- I added those tags and there where some duplicate images that Emily had done herself. Tell her this problem too XD
- You just worry too much about what i do. I could understand you if there would be some real damage :P - J.P.Talk 14:44, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- If you want to help clear out the problem, then the pages that link to the other hero armor images, should be cleared, so that we can get rid of the duplicates, rather than creating more. Emily knows about the problem, which is why she stopped uploading duplicates with the EotN heros. -- Wyn talk 14:46, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

RC Spam much?[edit]
Is there some reason you feel it's necessary to add wiki links to 2 year old update pages? You are creating soooo much RC spam! -- Wyn talk 22:57, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- They were all minor edits, which seems to be as good as shit nowdays. And i'm done with it already. - J.P.Talk 23:05, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
Re: File:Guild Freakoos Freakoos cape.jpg[edit]
When tagging images with {{copyvio}}, please include the link to the source. Otherwise we won't know where to look before we delete! Thanks, -- Indochine talk 15:35, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
