I lold at the entire thing! ~Shard 23:50, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
This is just an ineffective SFway wannabe. Morphy 16:00, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'd say it was probably more effective than Searing Flames; SF is easy to beat by shutting down two or three eles. If you shut down 3 RtL eles, that meant 5 people were still getting soloed. One might get protted if the prot's not on his ass all game (lol QZ Earthbind Shock), but it was still utter bullshit back when RtL had no aftercast (you couldn't kite Shock). Not anything close to unbeatable, but leagues beyond SF in terms of "fuck this, I'm playing WoW" factor. — Raine Valen 17:56, 27 Jul 2010 (UTC)
- I have played with and against both builds and SFway was way more lethal when played well. Of course, unlike RtLway, SFway requires a competent caller to be effective but meh, if you change targets frequently and sensible and get your team to spam T you can come far. - "When played well"
- See, that's the thing about RtL: you didn't have to play it well. You just facerolled and got fame. SF requires a competent caller and competent t-spacers, and that's just downright balanced next to what it took to win with RtL.
- I agree that SF is potentially better than RtL, but there's this thing with builds that I like to call an effectiveness range: the effectiveness of a build when executed horribly to the effectiveness of the build when executed flawlessly. RtL has a tiny, tiny range: it's always going to go more or less the same way, and it's stupidly effective considering that letting your hamster walk around on your keyboard can get you wins. SF's minimum effectiveness is way lower, but it's also got a bigger range, so it's better on the high end. For reference, balanced has a *huge* effectiveness range: it's pretty pathetic when terrible players run it, and it curbstomps everything when marvelous players run it.
- Ideally, every decent build would have about the same average effectiveness (midpoint between high and low ends on the scale), but most gimmicks have stupidly high minimums and maximums not too much further up. — Raine Valen 23:07, 28 Jul 2010 (UTC)
- Is this a joke build or does it actually work? How do you heal through a HA battle with AoR?? Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷаІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 23:48, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- Match lasts 15-30 seconds.
- Also, RtL aftercast makes this build not work anymore. — Raine Valen 23:54, 28 Jul 2010 (UTC)
- Well damn. Is there anyway for someone to start getting into the HA/GvG scene without joining a guild? Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 00:19, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- For GvG, you might be able to get guests if you're good and people know you (read: SUPASTAR!).
- For HA, there's an app for that, if you're willing to put some work in. HA is really about networking - PUGs, as a rule, suck, so you're probably not going to get far without being on someone's flist. Of course, you can always pick some gimmick (IWAY still works and probably always will) and grind r3-4, but I don't advise that because (1) I'd feel bad for putting more gimmick players in the game and (2) you don't l2p that way.
- Or just PM me whenever and I'll see what I can do for you. — Raine Valen 0:27, 29 Jul 2010 (UTC)
- What's your ign? Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 01:35, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) You may want to note that this build will be absolutely crushed by IWAY and Sway-like builds because it won't be able to penetrate their massive defenses before it exhausts itself out. Morphy 06:50, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sway and iway have bad anti-caster prots (1 spirit bond on a monk with no channeling, if that, and 0 copies of infuse). You can smash their damage and their backline can't do much about it. They don't even have infuse. Once that's done, there's no one to take down frozen soil, so you can farm prism eles at your leisure. — Raine Valen 18:24, 30 Jul 2010 (UTC)
- Doesn't work. The strength of this build lies in the fact that it's spreading damage and shutdown across the entire opposing team, making it hardish to heal your way out. If you target their frontline, you're giving that up, which means the backline isn't getting disabled. Even without anti-caster prots, Pot spam and Spirit Transfer is enough to keep up your high-armor frontlines (try it yourself). BBway and sway have an even easier time because they can simply ball up in their traps and wait till the eles blow themselves up, which always happens because RtLway is ran by retards. 83.163.190.111 21:44, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
- Now that sway meta is a Soul Twisting rit, RtL won't do anything against them. Union + Shelter om nom nom nom your damage.
- And 2 prism eles couldn't heal through 2 RtL eles on each of 4 wars. They just didn't have the redbar speed for it. — Raine Valen 22:36, 23 Nov 2010 (UTC)
