Date Inputted / Noted in the Table

When inputting the date, keep in mind that; depending on your time zone vs. the 'UTC time' will vary greatly, thus possibly causing the date shown in table to be off by about a day. So, it is your, best bet is to wait between either; waiting; 30+ or 60+ days for those particular chest(s), and/or completer run(s).

Age of the Character(s)

Is it better to do the run with the 'youngest - oldest' character?
Yes, and no.
You will eventually get to a point that the item(s) dropped have become purple; possibly even blue, regardless of time spent beyond 60+ days; which to me, has seemed to be after about the 10^th or 12^th completion of the full circuit; for that particular character. To brighten thing up; or, just to see if the drops are better, amount, quality, run the regional zones from the bottom - up (per chart). Having done this on my "full" regional capable characters; the quality seemed better, with 4+ gems. Your mileage may vary though. Tikka LeFem talk (talk) 11:56, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

After the completion of this last run (xxxxxx) - Having mixed up the rotation / order; I did receive a "Gold Item" from a chest. Fluke? Perhaps so, but it is, still encouraging to do these; bi-monthly treasure chest runs. Tikka LeFem talk (talk) 00:29, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

Fluke in the Matrix?

Although this was only with one character; from Nightfallen Jahai as a start and ending the complete run at Issnur Isles, I seemed to receive more 'gold items' and 'gems' then previously experienced in past runs, plus, plus I was able to get a 'gold item' drop at Mehtani Keys - so is the mechanism for drops of the treasure chests actually resetting? I will see with other runs how it pans out.

Discovered from my last run [25/05/2023]; that on the character I expected to receive a "purple item", as usual, to actually received a "gold item" instead. A fluke? probably not, since that particular character had not done a full run for more than a year or so; so, the game may possibly reset your character to receiving a gold item. As for the currency amount, about as to be expected; for having already made previous runs on that character before. Fluke or otherwise, I still enjoy an occasional treasure chest run now and then. Ran my last 4 characters; and with the one having not done a recorded treasure run for about 11.2 years, had all purples from the chests, though did receive a gold weapon drop while zone traveling. Younger to Older Character vs. Any Sequence of Runs

When running your character(s); do you run any particular sequence?

Yes. I prefer to run my characters from the younger [newest created] to older [oldest created].

Why and how so?

Why? It seems to me, that by running youngest to oldest to work best for me. Your mileage may vary though.

My attempt is to maximize the potential for "gold items" and highest possible platinum gain + return.

How so? Starting (generally) with the youngest character; I will run them from "Map zone 1" up-to the farthest map zone that particular character has been to. Then the next character, and so on.

I always start from the "Map zone 1 Issnur Isles first. Again my attempt is to maximize the potential for "gold items" and highest possible platinum gain. Again, always waiting a minimum of; 30+ or 60+ days, from the last treasure chest opening before resuming another run. Tikka LeFem talk (talk) 16:53, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

30+ 60+ or More Days?

Are you one to bet on a possible sure thing?

Wait till after at least 33 days elapsed since last completed run @ minimum. Tikka LeFem talk (talk) 23:37, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

30+ Days Minimum for the chest / chest's to reset.
60+ days "Best minimum" for the chest / chest's to reset.
Greater than 60 days Still good option too; since the chest / chest's, have already reset since the 31^st day, since the last openings.

How Come the Difference Varies so much per Characters?

Question being ~ How so much per character?

Each item p/u, acquired is sold back to the corresponding merchants', including dyes, common material / rare material, etc.. Tikka LeFem talk (talk) 23:37, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

Nightfall vs.Faction / Tyria Born Character's - Any Difference?

Treasure Chest payout's do not seem to discriminate when a "Native vs. Foreign born" character opens the chest.
So, the answer is no.
