- they are the same: non-elite exhaustion removal, spamming mind shock/mind freeze all day long would be overpowered, exhaustion is there for a reason, to be able to use the skill more often than 30 seconds, BUT if you do so over a long period of time, you will be fucked over in the end so you have to think about it... if you can just use skill to counter it, then that breaks mind shock/mind freeze's concept and makes both of them stupidly overpowered and MINDLESS, i do not need others permissions to remove retarded stuff - Wuhy 17:57, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

ArenaNet talk:Art bugs[edit]
thank you for your contributions to ArenaNet talk:Art bugs. however, i would like to ask you to be more specific with your reports. for example, you address that spears clip through capes; could you narrow that down to which spear(s) in particular and provide a screen shot to further prove your point, using the given template on ArenaNet:Art bugs. also, there is an entire section about weapons that the report could be a part of. thank you. :] azalea||chat 15:45, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Achieving your goal?[edit]
Is your constant harassment of Linsey actually gaining you anything? Just in the past several hours, you have started 3 separate whining topics on her talk page. Does it honestly make you feel better? More important? Happy? Is it getting any results? Are the things you'd like to see happen happening? The Messengers[edit]
Don't shoot them. — Jon Lupen 21:42, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- :3 - Wuhy 21:45, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- Why not? It was a common practice in the olden days. Either bring good news, and be rewarded; bad news, and be punished; or no news, and be ignored. When you bring "news" that is essentially trying to compensate for your company's lack of balls, prepare to get your ass kicked.
- Welcome to the video game industry, Anet. You've fucked up enough to make us just like every other community. Congrats. *shakes fists at sky* Karate Jesus 21:47, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- If you're going to shoot anyone, shoot the source. — Jon Lupen 21:49, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- The source isn't here. Plus, half the time, the representatives of the source ignore us. Karate Jesus 21:50, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- One, Linsey is busy. Two, not being able to contact the source does NOT give you the right to attack their representatives who are guilty of nothing. Three, "common practice" and "in ye olden days" are not valid reasons and nor do they make it right. In the old days it was common practice to discriminate based on gender and race, but did that make it right? Not a chance. — Jon Lupen 21:54, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- (1) It's her job. Of course she's busy. I'm busy at my job too, but I still do it.
- (2) We are allowed to do what we want w/in the rules of the site. Wuhy didn't personally attack Regina. It was obvious that he intended to address Anet as a whole and not specifically her.
- (3) Tradition actually sets legal precedent for practice. Why do you think homosexual marriage is still "illegal"? Because it's immoral? It's because of the precedent set in the 50s not allowing legal marriage between blacks and whites (no joke, that's the actual legal case in most states). I would agree that it's not "right", but it is still valid and funny.
- Regina should have known better than to make that comment. As a CM, it's her job to know the community, and she should have realized how pissed most of us are. If she were good at her job, she would make comments intended to appease us and make us see her company in a better light rather than using veiled comments to explain away her company's intentions. A CM's job is to at least "pretend" to be on the side of the community. Right now....she looks like the enemy to a lot of people and that's what happens when you work the way she's worked. Karate Jesus 22:00, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- 1: No, it's not. Linsey's job is to design stuff for GW1, not to cater to the community's every whim and want here on the wiki. She is not bound by her job to be on the wiki at all. She is here of her own free will and on her own time, which is almost non-existent.
- 2: Shoot the messengers and you will quickly find yourself without any. Honestly, I'm surprised Regina even bothers with the wiki given how the community reacts to everything, such as her hiring and first appearances as a CM.
- 3: If tradition is wrong, break tradition. — Jon Lupen 22:08, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- (1) In the video game industry (especially this market) it is.
- (2) Again, it's her job. Regina's job is to deal with the community. She could easily have us all on her side if she would only act like most other game's CMs do. The responses she gets here are her own fault, no one else's.
- (3) The last one I agree with....obviously, that's why I brought up something that is so easily justifiable as a needed "change". But I wouldn't encourage Anet to break any more traditions....it seems like every other month we're "taking a new approach" at things....and getting the same results. Karate Jesus 22:12, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- 1: Umm, no it's not. It's not the designers', artists', and programmers' responsibility to even interact with the community, that's what the CM crew is for.
- 2: The community's initial reactions to Regina are entirely the community's fault. I'm surprised we even got her back after that. No human should have to endure that kind of abuse. — Jon Lupen 22:18, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- (1) I'm not going to go any further with this "yes, it is"/"no it isn't" bullshit with you. Obviously, this is a matter of opinion. However, by having a feedback space and responding in the past, she opened herself up to it.
- (2) CMs have to have thick skin. Saying "no human should have to endure that" doesn't mean that it's not part of her job. There are plenty of jobs in this world that I wish no human had to endure; however, at the end of the day those "humans" signed up to "endure" those jobs for a paycheck. I'm sure Regina knew what she was getting into and hopefully she doesn't take things quite as personally as you seem to think she does. Karate Jesus 22:22, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- Where you around to see that explosion oh so long ago? — Jon Lupen 22:24, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I was. And I hate to repeat myself, but it's her job. I've been threatened with a gun twice at my job, stabbed once (btw, plastic shivs hurt), had to come to work with H1N1 (because, I'm the boss and had the vaccination), had to testify in 2 rape cases (not my own), etc. Sometimes jobs suck. You act like an adult and either stay in the job because you love it or you quit it. Karate Jesus 22:29, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- Just double checking so I don't jump to any wrong conclusions. Also, what do you do for a living? I'm guessing either property management or law enforcement. Also, just because someone is prepared for and expecting the worst, does not give you the right to exact it upon them. — Jon Lupen 22:34, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'm the staff director at a state-run group home for teenagers [read:Foster care]. It also doubles as a drug-rehabilitation care center sometimes. Texas tends to do that with their facilities (which is apparently why I needed a masters degree for the job).
- And to address your second point, I was in no way implying that we should exact something upon someone because they should expect it. However, if she comes here and says something with obvious intentions to excuse something away in an atmosphere that wont allow it (at least, not when it's gotten this far), how can you not expect what she got?
- Look at it from my perspective. If I know a teenager has a knife and is mad at me, I'm going to try to calm him/her down and take it from him/her. I'm not going to walk past him/her and just make some nonchalant statement about how he/she should drop the knife because it's not my fault that [blank] happened and they're mad at me. She could EASILY make all of this easier on herself. If nothing else, she should just look at other CMs from other games or hell, even the past experiences or Gaile. It's not THAT hard. Karate Jesus 22:46, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'm rather familiar with foster care. I used to know a couple who would be caring for a foster child or two, maybe three at any given time.
- I'm not implying that you specifically are implying anything, "you" being an unspecific direction at whoever is reading, not you personally. Receiving and being the victim of injustice does not give you the right to commit and deliver injustice. Yes, we are getting the short end of the stick, but that does give us the right to be a dick towards the person giving it to us. It's a lot easier to give someone the fair end of the stick whenever possible when they don't explode in your face in the event that the only thing you can give them happens to be the short end. — Jon Lupen 22:59, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- Again, I agree with you. But still....there's something to be said for holding them accountable to what they did. There are cause and effects with these types of things. Like I said, I don't knowingly put myself into situations where I can get stabbed....that's just stupid. Regina shouldn't knowingly put herself in situations where she knows the people will become angry at what she's saying....and if she didn't know that that statement would cause that kind of reaction, then shame on her for not knowing her community.
- I hope we can all get something positive out of this experience and hopefully this doesn't escalate more.....however, if something isn't done....I fear the old fashioned maxim of "ignoring the community until it goes away" isn't going to work this time. We all need to be responsible and fair....and work this out. Karate Jesus 23:06, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'd love to see both sides be reasonable and fair, but I can only address one side at the moment, which is what I'm doing right now. — Jon Lupen 23:11, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well, like you said earlier, I recommend that you start with the source. There's very little that I can do at the moment to be fair. The "ball's in their court" so to say. Karate Jesus 23:13, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

- Where you around to see that explosion oh so long ago? — Jon Lupen 22:24, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- The source isn't here. Plus, half the time, the representatives of the source ignore us. Karate Jesus 21:50, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- If you're going to shoot anyone, shoot the source. — Jon Lupen 21:49, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

You know that suggestions are to be posted in the Feedback namespace, but you choose to post on Linsey's page anyway. This is bannable as sysop discretion as per Feedback:Rules.
