Caroline is a relatively unseemly woman, not outwardly beautiful or extrordinary in any way. In Shing Jea she worked as a servant, despite her apparent visions into the future. She was not looked well upon to become an official student, and honed her own abilities in secret when time permitted. Her abilities would not be worthy to walk amoung any reknown heroes, and she's content with this.
She is not, however, content with her life being as a servant, or slave. She wishes for a higher testament of her life's accomplishments.

Luckily, her departure from Shing Jea was not a violent, escape aventure. She was merely let go, as she became too old to work as a servant, too old to become a student, and thus was given an all-expenses paid trip to the Mainland. Not a real exile, but they did not want her.

She heard very little news of the Canthan Mainland, and took sincere interest in History, that she heard in rumors. (As a reminder, she was never an official student so never got any real teaching, everything she does was self-learned or seen). She was eventually able to put the puzzle together between the exaggerations and truth, and figured the Kurzicks could be sympathetic to her plight.

She is content to sit in the background as bands of heroes and adventurers carve a path for her. Her road to House zu Heltzer has warped her ethical scale, to the point where she can manipulate, either by speech, or giving false information to her visions, to get what she needs out of people.


Affiliation with the Vanguard[edit]

Unaware of their existance, and probably wouldn't care even if she was.
