In-Game THEFT with shadow-step skill
The account "Sir Kage Assakura" uses an unknown method of stealing valuable items with a Shadow-step skill. The account states interest in the item. In my case a R9 Zealous Dryad Bow 20% enchant, +15 damage. He tells you he can not see the stats and asks to see it outside. To see the statistics of the item he asks to drop it. The virtual character is way in the distance so unprepared i drop the Bow. Before i can pick it up myself the player "Shadow-steps" in, takes the item (Bow) and loggs out. afterwards blokking the person he robbed the item from.
Gaile, please do something about this? How can i get my bow back? I wasn't prepared for this kind of offensive theft possibility with a skill? Let it be know to players? Not even save in-game from cruel behaviour? Nerf all farms/selling but violation issues in-game is not within the scope?

- I hate to break it to you, but ths is a well known method of scamming. People often use Ebon Escape or even recall to pull this off. I don't believe there is anything support can do about this, but I may be wrong. The best way to avoid this is to NEVER believe what players claim about bugs/glitches without proof, especially if it puts your trade at risk. The best way to avoid scams is to read up on them. See Scam. Ashes Of Doom 23:31, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Basically, the best protection is to use the trade window. That's what it's for, to prevent this. Sorry to hear about your loss. -- Alaris 23:51, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry to hear that. Have you made a report yet? Did you take screenshots? Always take screenshots to support your claims and submit them to support asap. Also... never drop anything, unless it's something you don't want. -- ab.er.rant 03:59, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- I've updated the scam section with shadow step skills. -- Alaris 05:07, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- We're taking a good look at more serious outcomes for this sort of thing. I'd encourage you to complete a Support Ticket (that's the "Ask a Question" section of the Support page). We truly do want to look into these matters and handle those who are abusing other players through this means. -- Gaile 07:03, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you Alaris, noticed it in the scam section now. Yes Alaris, Ab.er.rant & Gaile, i made an official report Incident:(080428-002157)with screenie and got a very wel written standard used reply saying they can not help me and asking me if i wanted to report the player for violation in Rules of Conduct. Will not translate my initial responce. This account user was practiced and will keep using this "skill exploit" to keep on abusing trust and ruin game-fun. --Silverleaf 10:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- No, this isn't a skill exploit. Sorry to beak this to you, but it's your fault you lost the item. Just like in real life, if someone where to ask you to show them you wallet and drop it on the ground, would you do it? If someone would take it, would you write a post that someone should nerf his Boots of Escaping? Scams will exist as long as people exist. Games have safety measures to prevent them, and here it's called the Trade Window. It's for trading. It gives both people the item at the same time, and allows you to double and triple check if you're trading the right thing. This is all to prevent scams.
- Read the Scam article. Every scam can be avoided by using common sense, using built in trade systems and looking over the offer of another person twice to make sure it's what you want and looking again if he changes the offer. It looks like you already filed a report about the scammed, so your work is done. You'll probably not get the item back, but at least the scammers account will get banned. — Poki#3 11:41, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- That, plus you as seller make the rules, you can just refuse to trade outside town. How ever not every one who wants to see an item outside is a scammer, there are plenty of people who buy looks over stats and don't always know what they want or need. Biz 12:04, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- True Biz, but those people won't ask you to drop the item, just seeing it equipped on the other person is enough. Honestly, no offense Silverleaf, but dropping an item you want, for any reason is a bad idea. -- Salome 12:10, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Never ever ever drop items, there is a trade window to provide secure transfer for a reason :( --Lemming 16:20, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) It's true we do have a trade window. It's also true that we can't protect people from every possible trick of this sort. We do try to remove potential scams, like amending the trade window to show "Hey, that person you're trading with just swapped items" and so forth. But sometimes things are outside our power to control. However, if we can't prevent it, we can take action. I am talking to our support lead just now, and he tells me this is something they want to hear about, and they will take action on this, because it's scamming a player. (And, I might add, the person doing this will not receive just a short time out, either!)
When I think about these situations, I get really angry, because the likelihood is that this will happen to the newer player, and it makes me so sad that someone just joining the game may be victimized. That kind of victimization may colour his/her way of thinking about the game indefinitely. I played a game for several years, a game that allowed PKing. I don't care for PKing in an RPG setting; it's one of the things I asked the co-founders about concerning Guild Wars before I accepted my first job with them, in fact. Anyway, while it might sound nerdy for me to say it, the first time I was PK'd in that other game, I was just devastated. I mean, it was like someone has physically knocked the wind out of me, I was so shocked. (Perma-loss of items didn't help!) If I had been a new player in that game, or if I had not already made friends in the community of players, I really might have quit the game.
So please do let us know when you are scammed like this, and encourage others to do the same. We will do everything we can to put an end to such misbehavior. Thanks. -- Gaile 19:25, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ummm.. I got scammed a lot and it's really frustrating, I really considered quitting the game at that time.. And then thats how much Anet cares about it, and that pic was when I was still a very new player :(

- I fail to see what that picture is supposed to demonstrate. As its basically got you complaining to some other random player and that random player giving you bad advice. Don't see how its relevant to this discussion in the slightest. (also on a side note the image doesn't follow wiki naming convention and as such will probably be deleted) -- Salome 20:45, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

This topic got way off-beat somehow. Never did mind spelling problems, have them myself. But i trust Gaile and her advice. It is not a problem i got scammed. It is the fact that an account and skills are used to do so. Theft is a crime in RL. In-game its frustrating as hell and we need to pull together to root it out. Us (players) together with Anet & NcSoft. We are a community. Somehow this reminds me of; "remember, you never fight alone". I lost a bow. Big virtual money gone. Big deal. It's about preventing this happening to others. So help and follow Gaile's advice. Report & let it now to fellow players. The drop & shadow step scamm is more visible added to the scamm page. --Silverleaf 12:25, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately Silverleaf, as it has been pointed out, this is not an exploit of a skill, or a malfunction in the game, it's simply a case of bad judgment on your part. Anet is not going to replace your bow, nor will they (imo) make any changes to the game mechanics because of this since it is something that has been documented for a long time. As in real life when a theft happens, you can file your report, which you have, and learn from the experience. -- Wynthyst 12:37, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Silverleaf is not asking for his bow back, he understands that that is not possible. He just started this discussion to alert Gaile to a problem that has been going on for a long time, and many of us would appreciate help with. Yes, it is his fault for dropping something on the ground, but many people have an innate "flaw" in that they tend to trust people too much. If Anet could help cut down on scamming like this, it would be a great help to many newer (and more naive!) members of the community. While we understand not much may be possible, even putting it on the wiki page helps, and maybe stricter action against accounts which perform this kind of behavior (only with valid proof of course). The general feeling in game these days seems to be that "Anet doesn't care, you can't report me". It would be nice if that could be changed. If people thought there was a real risk of an account block or ban, they might think twice before trying to scam someone. Ashes Of Doom 15:58, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you Ashes Of Doom. Nice to meet someone clearheaded and able to read. --Silverleaf 16:50, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

- I was actually paraphrasing what Silverwing had just said ("It is not a problem i got scammed.") He was trying to say that he wasn't here about the specific issue, but wanted to alert Gaile and the community to the entire problem of the skill-based scamming he had run into. And as for not doing "anything wrong", the culprit was actively trying to scam someone out of items. As the "Conduct Breaches and Outcomes" page on the Guild Wars website says, "The following will result in an account mark (suspension) or an account termination, depending upon the severity of the matter: ...Taking advantage of another player ("scamming") in order to take his/her items or account." I would say that tricking a player into dropping items is "taking advantage" of thier gullibility or the fact that they inherently trust people. Ashes Of Doom 02:23, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- Someone tried it by me a long time ago, we when't outside and he was trying to use shadow step, but by the shock I clicked on the item and he didnt get it :), but they now a day try to scam with wrong numbers (10k and they give you 1k). Last week I heard from one person he got scammed from a tormented weapon this way he give him 100gold instead of 100k. After this I gave him some weapons which where worth 30k to reduce his lost and he was very happy with it. But I am trading lots last day and these ways of scamming are becomming bigger it looks, last week there were 15people who tried it by me. Death Sligher 14:54, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- How can you mistake 100g for 100000g? I think that three zeros is enough of a difference to notice... — Poki#3 19:34, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- The trade window splits it, remember? It looks more like [100]plat [100]gold rather than 100100 gold. If the person who is getting scammed is tired or rushed, its not a hard mistake to make. I once paid 20k for a CoF run, but the runner was nice enough to pay me back. Ashes Of Doom 21:58, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
- For a long time now, the trade window is displaying money in gold only. (so 100k looks like this (100000) and not like this (100)) (And yes, the input is still divided into gold and plat, but the other person sees the amount of money in gold) — Poki#3 00:40, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, right, my bad. But I suppose that still stands. If you haven't noticed the new system (like me...) you might just expec to see 100 rather than 100000, so 100 might not stand out as much. Maybe I'm stretching it a bit, but I have had this happen to me, and it is happening to others, so there must be some kind of psychological reason for it. Or maybe we just all need to go sleep rather than play at those god-awful hours... Ashes Of Doom 01:07, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I'm sort of befuddled (it's late, you'll have to forgive me!) about where this topic currently is resting. I can get into currency another time. But let me say this: I don't care if someone uses a skill, or a glitch, or an exploit, or relies on personal charm, or hopes that someone doesn't notice a change in the trade interface or a switch in the gold/platinum scales -- if someone scams another player, we want to know. Yes, setting things on the ground is ... I'm sorry ... a little foolish. Not checking the amount of gold and doing the quick math is a little naive. But that doesn't mean "It's free rein on scamming!" When we can see the concerted effort of another player to take advantage of someone, that's scamming. Like I say, skill, bug, exploit, whatever -- if it's scamming, we want to look into it. It's not a sure thing that we can take action every single time, I admit that. But darned if we won't do our best to take action as often as we can!
Help us help make the game better: Report the scammers. -- Gaile 06:59, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
- Nice reply Gaile. Usually we the players think big companies are just too busy to care. (as in business targets, etc.) Thanks for that response. - josəph 07:21, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Gaile? Why report scammers if nothing is done about it? The player can even taunt & mock me for his account is still valid? What kind of support is really support? How many people will it take to reports these scams before something is being done about it by support or is it just about "let them report all they want" they will get tired of it. "We will look into it" just doesn't cut it. [Incident: 080428-002157] --Silverleaf 14:33, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- First of all, let's be clear. A report can result in a time-out, a mark on the account and a period of suspension. The player in question may have been blocked, that block may have expired, and he may now be back in the game. However, that's not certain. There are three possibilities that I can see:
- The player was actioned, "served his time," and is now back in the game.
- The account was not marked (no action was taken) because our research did not support a taking action on the account.
- We made and error and even though the case was bad enough to warrant a block (or even a ban) we did not put one in place.
- Let me tell you that when I say, "We will look into it" I am not just casually tossing off a catch-phrase or an empty promise. When I say -- when we say -- "We will look into it," that is a commitment. Help me with this one, will you? The best way to do that is to submit a Support ticket so that we can give this a good, hard look. Support will get the ticket and, because they have access to the tools to research to the degree that I think this situation warrants, they'll handle the investigation. You're free to mention that you and I discussed this, and Support will let me know what they've found out because they know I'll be interested. You can also give me the incident number (here or via email) so that I can see what we've learned in researching this issue.
- What we need to know: The character name of the scammer; your character name, the time (and time zone), date, and a general description of what took place. If you have screenshots, send them with the ticket, by all means. Since you mention you've been harassed since that time, can you give us the same information for those instances, too, so that we can review the related logs? I'm sorry that you've had an unpleasant experience; we'll do what we can to see that we take, or have taken, the appropriate action. Thanks. -- Gaile 23:52, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- I did all required and never heard back from Support. The user that did the theft is still able to play though. . Makes me sad that even i did as requiered i cannot protect other players from this scamming thief. --Silverleaf 12:50, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Well now that this title has been added i gotta do some complaining lol. Its just, before zaishen keys i had unlocked everything so i had to purchase tournement tokens with my faction so it wouldent sit at max. Macros
Sorry if this is a bit of a n00b question, but I recently upgraded my keyboard and mouse (Razer lycosa and deathadder =D) and after playing around a bit, discovered the magic of programable macros on my keyboard (my 10 year old one lacked this feature =P). I thought of possible uses for this, and made my number box + button into a dance button after a bit of experimentation =D. However, I then remembered hearing about bans over macros being used to farm. I'm fairly sure your rule against macros applies mainly to farming macros, but I just want to make sure I won't get a ban for making some homemade emote buttons...so is this against the rules?-Warior Kronos 23:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- You might want to consider talking to one of the Community Managers about this. As in, the ones that are on active duty and such. Vael Victus 02:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- If I remember correctly, the issue was also raised with respect to the GW keyboard on sale (I believe available the official GW site) that also has such programmable buttons. I think the issue is not with programming per se, but rather to programming to the point where a human player is no longer necessary. If you automate it to that point, then you're in trouble. If you use shortcuts but otherwise are always involved in the game, then you should be ok. Obviously, there's some grey area in-between. -- Alaris 03:47, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- In a nutshell, what we have expressed in the past is this: If something makes life easier for a player, that's fine. If it gives a player an advantage of some sort, then that's very much a concern and may tread into "disallowed" territory. As you may have noticed, we're using one of the super-spiffy programmable keyboards as a sweepstakes prize, so obviously the company doesn't have issues with that sort of thing. Here's a case where a player suggested a modification that made a player's experience a bit easier and more fun, and it was added to the game that very week. And this link shows past comments on macros. I hope this is helpful info. -- Gaile 21:45, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

EMOTES
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANYONE LESE BUT I FOR ONE HAVE LITTLE LOVE FOR PVP I AM MOSTLY INTO THE PVE AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOME EMOTES REWARDED FOR COMPLEATING A CAMPAIGN THX :d --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Astaroth vox (talk).

- I'll donate. Anyway... PvE emotes would be fun I guess, but I wouldn't want them to be attainable for something simple like completing a campaign. As has been mentioned before, and suggested elsewhere, it would be fairer on the PvP community if a potential PvE emote was added for something that represented effort and skill in PvE, like the KoaBD title track. -- Elv 07:45, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- I can donate a keyboard with a missing caps button :P... On a serious note, they should add emotes on the pve reputation titles when they reach a high rank. Oh I can see it now, An Asura making the Taunt Emote, or a bear emote for the Norn, An Abaddon emote for the Lightbringer title, etc... --MageMontu 07:54, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

- I THINK YOU SHOULD REMOVE THE CAPS LOCK KEY FROM YOUR KEYBOARD AND LEARN TO SPELL!!!1!! Seriously though, I'd like some PvE emotes for rank in EoTN at lvl 6 or something. 3-consumables, 4-weapons, 5-armor, 6-emote? -Warior Kronos 21:28, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, that would be nice, but I think that might just be a bit too easy. I maxed delver without even trying as a side effect of CoF runs... KoaBD just screams for an emote though, it is kinda the highest prestige title for PvE (by definition). Ashes Of Doom 23:52, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well not by definition. Many people on the KoaBD title track just pick the easiest skills to max out.
- I agree, KoaBD needs an emote, more than this stupid zaishen stuff. But I still like the rank idea for EoTN, despite having to grind for r10 (generally), its pretty accessable at r6, and the emote would maybe grow as you ranked up...maybe a Bear emote for Norn, a Golem for the Asura, a great dwarf effect thing for dwarves...idk about Vanguard, they're not very special xD.-Warior Kronos 20:12, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- Many people on the KoaBD title track just pick the easiest skills to max out. < This is a good point, also r6 reputation is quite too easy to acheive imo. I do agree that KoaBD title screams for an emote, but maybe just KoaBD r6? I don't want to see "worthless" emotes being spammed around me all the time, and I'd say; let's not award EVERYONE with emotes. But KoaBD r6 - yes indeed. And for PvP; Champion title should maybe be rewarded with an emote. Other than that we seriously have enough of them. If you make them too common they won't be fun anymore. -- Titus The Third 10:09, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hypothetically, if KoaBD gets an emote, it will change with each rank, or every other rank. Low ranks might not have it at all (like the Hero title). R6 Emotes would be just as rare as Phoenixes. — Poki#3 13:46, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- True, and I know that, but I still think that maybe r6 should be the only rank rewarded with an emote at all. I'm just saying that I want emotes in general to be something "special", not something everyone has. -- Titus The Third 15:03, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

I think emotes should stay pvp. Besides faction and Z-Keys, the emotes are the only real tangible way of showing you pvp commitment. Pve already has weapons, armors, and many titles.Blackie ewilson92 18:36, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Emotes are fun, which is reason enough to have them in PvE. You can have special hard-to-get PvP emotes and PvE emotes co-existing. If someone shows a deer or a spear, we know how much work of what kind was put in it. -- Alaris 20:12, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Trade Question
I was selling 5ecto's last night and I put in trade "wts 5 ecto 5k ea" a person said I want them so I traded him and he said in pm "I want 5ecto". But instead of 25k he traded me 50k which I didnt nothished in the trade. So I submitted and then he accepted and then I accepted. I logged out because I needed to make homework. But then I thought 50k for 5ecto thats to much. So I logged back in but I didnt know his name anymore, and he didnt pm me about it. Now is my question can I get banned for this? I hope not because I didnt scam him to give him less then he wanted, but I hope they wont see this as gold buying because it is 25k to much. Plz answer I am very conserned about this. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:62.133.217.230 (talk).
- You are probably ok for this, its not like you were intentionally scamming him. Just think of it as free money and be happy. If he contacts you in the enxt few days going "oh crap... sorry" you might be nice enough to pay him back, but maybe not... you don't need to. Ashes Of Doom 12:03, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I've had this happen once or twice without noticing it myself, and on one of those two times I never found the other guy anymore since I had already logged out and didn't remember his name. It's not going to get you banned since he put the money in the trade himself without any scam attempt, but it's ofcourse nice to pay back the extra. -- (gem / talk) 17:03, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- You won't get banned since there's nothing to support the poor fella that you were bluffing him. But I still found it strange that you "mis-accepted" 50k for 25k... what if he traded you 15k instead? -- ab.er.rant 02:02, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
I can't see you getting blocked for gold buying or gold selling for this, not at all, so rest easy on that. As for accepting extra gold, yes, it was a mistake and it's too bad that you can't rectify it. Imagine how happy that person would be to have you message him in the game and say "Hey, I want to repay you the extra gold you gave me in a trade." Come to think of it, if you want to make that happen, we probably can help you. Email me. :) -- Gaile 04:03, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
May I have your attention please?
Hi Gail, I know that you've been included in the Ursan-talk before and I'm not going to bring up the discussion here again (and encourage others not to do so either), because I think we're all starting to get it now. But!, may I point your attention to this thread: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10297855 AND, can you - my prophet - please bring "the Gods" attention to this thread. It is one of the best and most in-depth threads I've read on the subject and it covers a lot of things, not only Ursan Blessing. You're loosing your playerbase, and they are loosing you.
I love (yes, LOVE!) Guild Wars!, and right now I hurt inside, and actually thinking about leaving her - as many others have done, or are thinking about doing.
So please, may I have have the Gods attention? Please help me, the playerbase, and yourself. -- Titus The Third 20:55, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Edit: I know this might not be your job anymore, as you've moved on to support, but I don't know who else to turn to.
- I don't want to sound rude, but what does the community have against Regina? She already answered to the letter here but for some weird reason the community never accepts the answer she gives as final and wants more (I'm not talking only about this 1 but of almost all her answers). --MageMontu 21:09, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Her answer, in the most polite sense, didn't contain much. In the most vulgar state, some people thought it was full of sh*t. I'm staying out of this one, however. -- NUKLEAR IIV 21:19, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I was satisfied with her answer. As far as I understood it (in other words, IMO IMO IMO), she meant that Arena Net understands how Guild Wars need attention, but right now they're understaffed since everyone is working on Guild Wars 2 (and comparing the time between GW1 being announced and its release with the time between GW2's announcement and what the community thinks will be the release date, it's no wonder all hands at Arena Net are busy right now). They're aware there's a lot of work to be done regarding GW1, hence why they're going to hire more people exclusively to work on that game; but until they have a larger team, Arena Net just does not have enough resources to fix everything the community has been talking about (again, that's not what Regina or Gaile or anyone said - that's what I, myself, me, have understood based on what has been said). I couldn't have expected a more direct answer, to say the truth. (And for the record, I really didn't like that post on GWG. While I agree with some of the things I think the poster was trying to say, there were far better ways to say it - not more polite, just based more on reason than on empty metaphors and vague statements - and I disagree with some of his other points) Erasculio 21:32, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I am sorry, I didn't know that they already were aware of the thread. Well, I might have guessed it really, but I guess I'm just getting desperate. And as many other have stated, also as a reply to Reginas answer, I just want to know where we are heading. Do whatever you want to Gaile, reply to this or not, I guess this already caught your attention. And Erasculio; I guess you're right; But how hard can it be; just hit the "delete mindless and overpowered non-attribute skills from the game and never bring them back button"? It would sure please a lot of players. I quote my reply to the letter: "I'm a fish gasping for air at the bottom of what once was ANets huge pool of joy, possibilities and challenges." -- Titus The Third 21:44, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- The thing is, apparently (again IMO IMO IMO) Arena Net is trying to please both sides. They are considering a big nerf to the PvE-only skills (yay!) but at the same time they want to give viable alternatives to PvE players who think they have become less powerful thanks to PvP balances, hence the split between PvP-only skills, PvE-skills and PvE-only skills. But this is a matter of balance, and balance is always slow - how does Arena Net make the common skills more powerful without creating a second Ursan Blessing? The latest update already had what some consider a too big buff to one skill (Shadow Form); without being careful, Arena Net would just replace one problem with another. So they may have (again, all this is IMO IMO IMO) decided to use more resources on this - and if they're lacking manpower, the other resource they have is time. The result is a very, very slow rebalancing of the game, so PvE players may lose Ursan Blessing (and hopefully consumables too) without being left with the feeling of having become powerless. latest update problems
Since the last update me and quite a few of my guildies are expirencing problems. The game will just freeze then crash. we all have to manually restart out comps, but when we log back in it lets us reconnect. this has never happend to any of us before. also i noticed my faction bar for blathazar was glitch. it read "4,374/0". but the main problem is all these crashes/freeze that started after this recent update. anyword on whats up?SweetEscape 06:48, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- This is exactly what is happening to me, and it still goes on, i can't attribute it to anything (like overheating etc as ive checked everything) this is the only game i have that does this, please help :( 82.36.244.186 20:21, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- I am unsure if our Technical Support Team knows about this issue at all. Considering the first report here is June 15th, and the follow-up is June 28th, that suggests we would want to investigate this (since it apparently wasn't a short-time bug). Your location is particularly relevant, as there could be issues at one of our data centers or there could be local or regional ISP or Internet backbone issues that caused the disconnects.
- So the big question is: Have you submitted a support ticket? It's essential that these get routed to Technical Support, and it's not practical for me to try to do that myself, since I do not have the information they will need nor an efficient means of follow-up with you guys. So, please submit a ticket and encourage your guildies and other folks with the same issue to do the same. Tech Support will look into the matter, check with the devs for information, and if there's anything they need me to do in this regard -- including sharing any messages that they have about this -- they will let me know right away. Thanks! -- Gaile 20:41, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Tormented Weapons
I have some gemstone's in my storage, can I still get tormented weapons after they at the tormented weapons to the HoM? or can't i trade them just as with Zkeys? because I have alot of them and if they do the same with gemstone's as with zkeys I will lose lost of money:s. So will the old tormented weapons and gemstone's and armbraces work with HoM update?
- You can trade 15 gemstone sets for an Armbrace of Truth, either by completing an area of DoA or with a player who is willing to do the trade. With the armbrace you can get a tormented weapon of your choice, and yes you can still get tormented weapons after they can be added to the HoM. --MageMontu 21:08, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- He is asking if he can get the weapons now and add those weapons to HoM after the Update -- The Warrior Of Timi 08:35, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- If it became possible to add Tormented weapons in the Hall of Monuments, I suspect that any tormented weapon which isn't already customized for a different character would work, however I am not aware of any reliable source for this rumour about adding tormented weapons in the hall of monuments. I would advise against getting gemstones, armbraces or tormented weapon for the specific purpose of adding a tormented weapon to the hall of monuments until after it is confirmed that doing so will be possible. -- Gordon Ecker 08:47, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I believe it was mentioned by Regina on her talk page regarding a request she's made for a dev report on HoM changes that are in the works.-- Wynthyst 09:06, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Regina confirmed it more than once, but also mentioned there was no specific date for the update just yet. Apparently there would be a Dev Update about intended changes to the HoM this week. -- Elv 10:11, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well I dont think they will do that, because people asked for it because they were worth alot and if they put them in HoM people who have them can store them. And if they will nerfe the old ones, the reason to at the tormented weapons will be taken away. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:145.53.242.142 (talk).
- I wasn't expecting anything until the dev update. Anyway, as I said, I don't think there will be any difference between pre-update and post-update tormented weapons, armbraces or anguish gemstones. -- Gordon Ecker 00:06, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
