This is a work-in-progress. Feel free to edit and add ideas.

The Anniversary Weapons are super cool, but I do think that making the best use of the martial ones is going to be hard. Previously, this kind of brainstorming wasn't worth it, but as of the April 30 patch (which made them not unplayably bad due to hidden scaling), it could be at least interesting to figure out ways to play with the new martial weapons. The only rule of this brainstorm is that you are not allowed to invest any points in the weapon's actual Mastery attribute (e.g. no Marksmanship for Bows, etc.), with bonus points going towards builds that do not use skills from the weapon's original profession at all.

Some consideration should also be given to what off-hand can be used for the Axe, Sword, and Spear.

While these are technically not attacks, they require being in melee range and are generally pretty close in effect to melee attacks.

  • Brawling Headbutt Brawling Headbutt: [7 Adrenaline 0.75¾ Activation time] Touch skill. Deals 45...65...70 damage; causes knockdown. (Deldrimor)

Suboptimal[edit]

Skills listed here have some form of anti-synergy between their profession, attribute, and relevant Anniversary weapon; they might be usable in niche situations, but are probably not the best picks. For example, the melee attacks in Strength, Critical Strikes, and Mysticism are in this category due to Warrior, Assassin, and Dervish getting a ranged Anniversary weapon. Weapon attacks that are linked to their profession's primary Attribute instead of their relevant Mastery attribute are also placed here.
