Signet of Capture is only listed if it can realistically be capped before it can be aquired from quest/skill trainer. Example: Mark of Rodgort from Hops Flaminator. You could cap Putrid Explosion from Jacado the Putrid, a boss at the end of the EotN campaign, but it's not listed because it doesn't even make sense...you spend the same amount of money for a SoC and spend more effort, than just buying the skill directly or doing skill quest. I have Once, Wishmaster and Dark Passion Play in the ways of Nightwish (needing to buy more), with the other bands being (too many albums to name): The Almost (Underoath's Drummer's Solo project if you are familiar), Anberlin, Basshunter (Minus his English stuff, didn't like it oddly enough), Demon Hunter, Disiple, Mirror's Edge Theme and various mixes, Halo 2 and 3 soundtracks, Kutless (a few), Pillar (only a little), Queen (Their Greatest Hits), Red, Relient K, Sanctus Real, Skillet, Speedsound (a small amount for now), Switchfoot, and Thousand Foot Krutch.

I like Anberlin too, they remind me of Tears for Fears. My friend got me into Your Vegas, who opened for Duran Duran on the 2008 RCM tour, they remind me of TFF and Anberlin. I love this band from LA called ImaRobot, they are amazing (they opened for Duran on the 2005 Astronaut tour), but my friends gave me some flak for liking them. Well, people not using the "New Section" tab is a genuine annoyance to me, because when I'm reviewing edits in my watchlist or a page history, it is misleading. You may not realize how many edits I review...I have 797 and counting pages on my watchlist for this wiki, and 1,112 on the other wiki. However, I also keep watch on the recentchanges for any suspicious or interesting posts, which includes edits from people like you. And, on the other wiki, I check *every* change in recent changes...even if there are 5,000+ of them since I last checked. Gifts of the Traveller (or the items to trade for them), as well as some of their contents, are still quite lucrative as well.

If you are willing to spend the time, you can make a profit just buying low and selling high, for any number of commodities. Someone in Spamadan selling black dye for 8k, and someone in LA willing to buy for 8.5? Profit! People are fully aware that they may be paying too much or too little for stuff...but they aren't willing to shop around and look for the best prices everywhere. So if you do that instead, there's some money to be made.

Depending on the current zest, you can farm a lot of balth faction (= zeys) with very little effort. For example, the GvG one gives over 9,000 balth faction for just one win, and in any decent match you'll probably gain 1,000 balth anyway. So, you get 2 zkeys every 30 minutes or so, if you're good.

Runs through dungeons etc. remain profitable. Depending on the dungeon, you can expect anywhere from 1-25k (iirc) from each person...not including any drops, quest rewards, or other goodies that you find.

Finally, simply farming and/or playing the game a lot earns you cash. You can finish an easymode EotN book in less than two hours, for 4,000 gold plus any drops etc. you got. I'd estimate that one would earn at least 6k just from drops... so you're looking at maybe 20 hours of playtime. You could even do that in a single day if you wanted. Of course, this is hardly the most profitable way to earn from simple playing, let alone farming... but you get the idea how easy it is to make cash if you really want it. I mean, you can earn about 5k doing 600/Smite in CoF *by yourself* with 1-2 heroes, no LoD for hidden treasures, no lockpicks...no one to pay you run fees. That takes an hour max, if you're bad. Raine... You can't preprot omega spike, they just PoD it off and your nicely preprotted target blows up even faster. It's hard to fit on a bar when there are so many other good skills, but it's not horribly bad. 100% uptime would make it stupid. You could scale both duration and recharge, but I kind of like 8/12 for the amazing energy efficiency. I was running it yesterday but only because I didn't have AoS unlocked on my PvE monk (I don't usually prot) and our Infuse was running Balanced Stance anyway. I'd like to assert that Spirit Bond is, in fact, extremely effective against Hexway (I saw some mention of that earlier). When you've VoR and Backfire on you and your entire team is hexed with Soul Bind, there isn't much else that's going to save you. Of course, that doesn't make hexway any less WTF broken, and you can't maintain SB on yourself, especially not trying to pull veils where you can and trying to spot heal everyone as they degen to death... but it's a hell of a lot more effective than most anything else you (as a monk) could do in the same situation.

The thing about PoD necroes is that their bar features dual spammable enchantment removal. Even if you prot during the spike, it's not unlikely that it'll just get ripped. Especially when the recharge of said prot is longer than Rip's and the same of PoDs. However, at this point, it's really moot - Omegaspike was largely killed as of last update. There are some other spikes that can't be preprotted because they change targets too fast (SF comes to mind), or because they have nine copies of Rend (or one copy of OoA), or for whatever other reason. However, in the majority of those cases - to my awareness - Spirit Bond would be superior due to the high damage packets that typically accompany caster spikes and paragon laming (Spear of Lightning fucking hurts). Certain aspects of hexway. Spirit Bond doesn't do anything against -10 aoe degen from LC + Suffering + whatever. It's true that VoR etc. are sometimes part of the hex stacks, but it's fine to the other team if you just run out of energy and degen to death too. Vili 点 18:59, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

To fix 600s, make SB and SoA easily interrupted in PvE, reduce SoA cast time to 0.25¼. That way, it won't really make a difference in normal play, but when you've got 14 mobs attacking you, you'll never be able to get them off. To fix 55s, give Protective Spirit a floor: "...more than 10% of their Health from a single attack or spell. Protective Spirit cannot reduce damage below 30.", which, again, makes no difference under normal circumstances, but makes 55ing impossible.

If you're taking 30 damage per hit, Mending won't make you invincible. Regardless of how much health you have. That effectively makes 55ing not work, no?

Let me wiki that for you. No, you wouldn't use Mending, you'd use something stronger, and/or combine it with prots like - ups - Shielding Hands and Shield of Absorption. At a certain point it would just be better to 600/smite, and to get around easily interrupted you just need Mantra of Resolve. It would be less efficient but still doable. IT COUNTERS SEERING FLOOMS!

Shielding Hands is strong versus shitloads of smaller damage packets (no duh). Unfortunately, it doesn't block, boost armor, remove conditions or hexes, heal, or do anything else that prevents/counters most type of spikes... especially in PvE, where the most dangerous mobs are wtf imbadamage casters. -15 damage versus 500+ from Spirit Rift? Lol ok.

In PvP it's not that extreme, of course (minus some exceptions), but the same general concept applies; damage is often too strong/comes in too large packets that Shielding Hands is a viable alternative to, say, spirit bond or prot spirit (which, conversely, have their problems in that they don't do anything vs pressure like hexway :>). As much as I like the skill...it's very cost-efficient in terms of damage prevented/energy spent, just like Vigorous Spirit for health gain, and 1/4 casts are sexy...I would very rarely take it for srs PvP.

Man Vili, your attempts to thread this have actually really fucked it up. Couldn't you just follow the indent? Raine, the point of protting as the spike lands is that the damage hits exactly when the prot hits, so unless their rip is perfectly timed and they knew you were going to do that, the rip is too late and moot.
