The changes I suggest below are mostly aimed to balance underpowered and overpowered skills. They are based on extensive PvE and PvP experience as well as opinions expressed in the skill feedback portal, the skills' talk pages, and in game. Explanations for these suggestions can be found here.
Skill Suggestions[edit]
Assassin[edit]
- Aura of Displacement: This skill can now target other allies as well as foes.
- Falling Lotus Strike: Decreased additional damage to 15...27...30.
- Fox's Promise: Reduced cast time to .75 seconds.
- Golden Skull Strike: Reduced recharge to 12 seconds.
- Shadow Fang: Reduced recharge to 35 seconds.
- Shadow Form: Fixed a bug that caused assassin enchantments to count multiple times if they were refreshed before they ended.
- Shadow Meld: Changed attribute to Shadow Arts. Increased cast time to 1 second. Increased recharge to 30 seconds. Changed functionality to: "Lose all hexes and enchantments. While you maintain this enchantment you cannot be the target of hexes or enchantments and your attacks deal 45...21...15 less damage". This enchantment ends if you use a non-Assassin skill.”
- Shroud of Silence: Increased cast time to 1 second. Changed functionality to: "For 4...16...19 seconds whenever you land a critical strike on target foe, all of that foe’s spells and chants are disabled for 1 second. This hex ends is that foe's health drops below 33%."
- Way of the Fox: Reduced recharge to 35 seconds.

- Ether Renewal: Limited the number of enchantments that count towards health and energy gain to 2...4...4.
- Ether Renewal (PvP): Limited the number of enchantments that count towards health and energy gain to 2...4...4. Changed duration to 5...9...10 seconds.
- Invoke Lightning: Increased cast time to 1.5 seconds.
- Second Wind: This skill no longer removes all enchantments from its user.
- Shockwave: Increased cast time to 1.5 seconds. Reduced condition durations to 1...7...8.
- Swirling Aura: Decreased duration to 3...15...18 seconds. Reduced recharge to 30 seconds.
Mesmer[edit]
- Diversion: Decreased duration to 5 seconds.
- Empathy: No longer triggers on failed attacks.
- Empathy (PvP): No longer triggers on failed attacks.
- Feedback: Reduced recharge to 25 seconds.
- Fragility: Increased recharge to 8 seconds.
- Hypochondria: No longer removes conditions from foes in the area of target foe.
- Illusionary Weaponry: Reduced recharge to 20 seconds. Decreased additional armor for each Illusion Magic skill to 3. Added functionality: "You deal +5 damage to hexed foes."
- Illusionary Weaponry (PvP): Reduced recharge to 20 seconds. Added functionality: "You deal +5 damage to hexed foes."
- Mantra of Recall: Changed functionality to: "For 20 seconds, your Inspiration Magic and Fast Casting spells recharge 20% faster. You gain 10...22...25 Energy when Mantra of Recall ends."
- Mantra of Resolve (PvP): Increased duration to 5...9...10.
- Mirror of Disenchantment (PvP): Reduced energy cost to 10.
- Price of Pride: Reduced cast time to 1 second.
- Wastrel's Demise: Increased cast time to .5 seconds.
- Wastrel's Worry: Increased cast time to .5 seconds.
Monk[edit]
- Amity: Increased cast time to .5 seconds. Reduced recharge to 30 seconds. Changed functionality to: "For 8...18...20 seconds, adjacent foes attack 50% slower and deal 5...21...25 less damage with attacks."
- Blessed Aura: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Increased recharge to 5 seconds.
- Balthazar's Spirit: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added 5 second recharge.
- Contemplation of Purity: Increased cast time to .5 seconds.
- Defender's Zeal: Reduced cast time to .5 seconds.
- Essence Bond: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added 5 second recharge.
- Life Attunement: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added 5 second recharge.
- Life Barrier: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Increased recharge to 8 seconds.
- Life Bond: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added 5 second recharge.
- Live Vicariously: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added 5 second recharge.
- Mark of Protection: Reduced cast time to .75 seconds. Reduced recharge to 20 seconds. Changed functionality to: "For 8 seconds each time a hex or condition is applied to target other ally, that ally gains 12...66...80 health."
- Mending: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added 5 second recharge.
- Protective Bond: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added 5 second recharge.
- Resurrect: Reduced energy cost to 5.
- Resurrection Chant: Reduced recharge to 12 seconds.
- Retribution: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added 5 second recharge.
- Scribe's Insight: Reduced recharge to 12 seconds.
- Smite: Reduced cast time to .75 seconds.
- Spirit Bond: Increased recharge to 5 seconds.
- Spirit Bond (PvP): Merged with PvE version; this skill now functions the same in PvE and PvP.
- Strength of Honor: Reduced cast time to 1 second. Increased recharge to 20 seconds.
- Strength of Honor (PvP): Reduced cast time to 1 second. Increased damage to 1...7...8. Increased recharge to 20 seconds.
- Supportive Spirit: Increased cast time to 1 second. Reduced energy cost to 5.
- Vigorous Spirit: Increased cast time to .5 seconds.
- Withdraw Hexes: Reduced energy cost to 10. Reduced recharge to 2 seconds. Changed additional recharge per hex to 15...7...5.
- Word of Censure: Added functionality: You gain 1 energy for every 4 ranks of Divine Favor you have.
Necromancer[edit]
- Death Nova: Can no longer target self. Reduced cast time to 1 second. Added a recharge of 2 seconds.
- Discord: Increased cast time to 2 seconds.
- Discord (PvP): Merged with PvE version; this skill now functions the same in PvE and PvP.
- Necrosis: Increased recharge to 3 seconds.
- Unholy Feast (PvP): Reduced recharge to 15 seconds.
Paragon[edit]
- "Brace Yourself!" (PvP): Increased duration to 5...13...15 seconds. Increased damage to 15...63...75.
- "Lead the Way!": Decreased energy cost to 5.

- Reclaim Essence: Reduced cast time to .5 seconds. Added functionality: "This spell recharges 10% faster for each spirit that was destroyed."
- Renewing Memories: Reduced cast time to .75 seconds.
- Signet of Ghostly Might (PvP): Increased recharge to 15 seconds. Changed functionality to: “For 5...17...20 seconds, all spirits you control within earshot attack 33% faster.”
- Soothing (PvP): Reduced recharge to 45 seconds.
- Wielder's Zeal: Reduced cast time to .75 seconds.
Warrior[edit]
- "For Great Justice!" (PvP): Increased duration to 10 seconds.
- "Retreat!": Reduced recharge to 15 seconds.
- "Save Yourselves!": Increased duration to 5...8. Decreased armor gain to 60. Fixed description to include that this only affects party members within earshot.
- Decapitate: Increased adrenaline cost to 10. No longer causes loss of all adrenaline.
PvE only[edit]
- Asuran Scan: Fixed a bug that caused both caster and target to be unable to miss against any target.
- Devourer Bite: Reduced recharge to 8 seconds.
- Ebon Battle Standard of Courage: Changed functionality to: “You plant an Ebon Battle Standard of Courage at your current location. For 14...20 seconds, non-spirit allies in this area gain +40 armor against Charr and +24 armor against other foes.”
- Fingers of Chaos: Changed type to Skill. Changed functionality to: "For 5 seconds, your attacks: cannot miss, remove one enchantment, cause cripple for 3 seconds, interrupt actions, and cause you to lose one hex and one condition."
- Great Dwarf Armor: Changed functionality to: "For 22...40 seconds, target ally has +60 maximum Health, +40 armor against Destroyers and +24 armor against other foes."
- Lightbringer: Updated description to reflect character’s Lightbringer title level.
- Lightbringer's Gaze: Updated description to reflect character’s Lightbringer title level.
- Sunspear Rebirth Signet: Updated description to reflect character’s Sunspear title level.
- Winds: Reduced cast time to 1 second.
